I agree David,

without Jesus, we are nothing, and without The Father man reduces himself to, quote :

" a quintessence of dust."

But with the teachings of Jesus' alive in our soul and the amazing works of the Holy Spirit all around us every day, we can actually achieve our greatest possible potential.

A man standing in awe of his own greatness - though being but a shadow that passes away - should not deceive himself by worshiping the idols of self-actualization and independence but rather he should be humbled by the knowledge of the intricacy of his design and worship his Creator.
