  • Is this about eating curry?

  • U said it: classic, sexy & raw ;-) love the vid I -3 Roxy Music

  • I get the feeling listening to Roxy Music that if I were addicted to drugs it would sound better.

  • I may remake this video using better software than WMM - this one will stay up though!

    What do you think?

  • By far my favorite Roxy song. But funny to see pics of Eno who had nothing to do with this -- he left the band 2 years earlier -- and had nothing good to say about BF. Plus the bit at 2:45 amused me as it looks like the talking brains from the Trek episode Gamesters of Triskelion.

  • @jlovebirch

    Hey thanks for your comment.

    My fave Roxy song too.

Yeah, I know Eno left the band back in 73, and had no input whatsoever with this song... but (as I said in the video description) he was a founding member of the band and I couldn't resist adding pics of him with the band.

The pic at 02:45 lol - I know! It's a brain and a heart (head and heart- heart & soul..maybe) I just liked the animated gif.

I was expecting to have to explain that pic but didn't think it'd take 2 yrs rotfl

  • This was one of my favs. 17 year old and going out to party with my friends, Me with my long featherd hair, and dont forget the Jovan spray man.

  • Oui, pour inviter les dames à danser

  • great one - cheers

  • @OFFTHEBUSH YOU GOT IT!!

  • The Bollcks. "Who can sleep.. in this heat.. tonight....."

ROXY...the most under rated, unappreciated and overlooked bands of all time.

  • WHERE HAS ROCK GONE.....GONE??????????

  • Oh my god, what old song - but so timeless!

    I still like it ; D

  • Great job putting this one together. BF has added dates to the 2011 Olympia Tour.

  • I tell ya' what boys.... this is stellar !

  • Another great Roxy Music tune......and a very cool vid!

  • Both hands burning!

  • ONE OF THE,IF NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT SONG OF THE NEW WAVE/ELECTRONIC ERA. THIS SONG SPECIFICALLY THE 3RD VERSE WAS A TOUCHSTONE FOR MANY GROUPS TO FOLLOW. DURAN DURAN INCLUDED. BOTH ENDS BURNING HAS IT ALL. MY WITNESS TO IT LIVE, CLEVELAND 1975. A VERY WEIRD, COMPELLING PERFORMANCE. FERRY LOOKED MARVELOUS IN HIS MILITARY DIGS.

  • rember this one?(DUDE)

  • ok, dumb question, this was a video made by a real director, etc.? OR, did you create this?...so rockin' and really cool, either way...love it, brings back memories. thanks...

  • @tmdaninla

The song ... is of course Brian ferry's and Roxy Music's... the pics all came from google images - I put them together into this little slide show using windows movie maker - standard program on the windows operating system. Though later videos I use Cyberlink and Proshow :D

It's good fun to do, and if it's a track that I REALLY love ... it's easy.

    THANKS :)

  • Supersool. the world. Not your balack gangsta. super cool. The music knocks a male's knickers off/

  • Classic

  • I had a vindaloo curry a while back, and wow, were both ends burning - XD

  • Thanks for this: Great song !! Wow! nice images

  • Ferry's vocals, Phil's guitar, DANG ! ! !

  • Please don't ever let me down 'Cause you know I'm not so sure Do I have the speed to carry on Burn you out of my mind, I know You're a flame that never fades Jungle red's a deadly shade Both ends burning, will the fires keep Somewhere deep in my soul tonight Both ends burning Burning Burn Now my course is plain as day Running bold across to play Both ends burning with a strange desire That feeds the fire in my soul tonight
  • and then came Ultravox's Hiroshima Mon Amour

    both great tracks!

  • Released in 1976? I didn't notice this until about 1980. Too busy with university and prog rock I guess.

  • Graet song, class act thank you!

  • nice tune lounge lizard

  • BRILLIANT!!! :-)

  • Some songs are just Sound Tracks to Life .... and this is one !

Thanks everyone for your comments - and for loving the really cool music of past decades - Youtube is a wonderful place to catch up with bygone songs... songs that the likes of MTV & Kerrang over look!

  • Should be taught in school so they know what real music is

  • Sonic, One could almost think that was Eno in the movie, he looks so like him. My 12-yr-old son, a big Eno fan, and I go round and round about Eno's zenith. I believe it is from Warm jets through Before and After Science. I think those are his finest, most succinct works. After that there are hits and misses, but never again such a streak of great music. Just my opinion. My boy love those, but gets behind the stuff on Nerve Net and Another Day on Earth. We both love his work on Wrong Way Up.

  • Mr Ferry feeds the fire in MY soul!

  • Thanks - takes me right back to my secondary school days in South London in the 70s...!

  • a pure icon!

  • it has a sort of disco feel to it

  • song holds up well----i never would have guessed this was 1975

  • 30 years I m listening this song and it s still amazing!

  • *warning* U tube has deleted ALL the "Musikladen" German Roxy live vids...no reason. These are the best live vids. ever done by Roxy. Many young people were getting to really appreciate great music from these vids....now they are fuked with comercial crap. When our youth don't have a choice between choosing great music over mediocrity, as they are denied seeing the alternative, then it is a bad day for music. They have the right to see early music so they can make a personal choice. Unjust.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

  • Awesome, thank you. Beautiful and endlessly talented Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music.

  • one of the best bands ever, still hot!

  • Your right.! the sound quality is great... thanks for posting.

  • great track thanks a zillion

  • For you know I'm not so sure... do i have the speed to carry on? Burn you right out of my mind I know... Thanks Bryan. Remember dancing to this at the Rainbow as a kid...

  • This song's been stuck in my head for weeks, I can't stop playing it! Both ears burning!!!

  • OUTSTANDING !! Still sounds as good today as it did 35 years ago - 3 5 Y E A R S - Mon Dieu - where did that go ???/

  • I just heard this song for the first time ever yesterday in my car on a classic rock station here in cleveland (98.5 WNCX) and loved it. I had no idea it was Roxy Music until I googled it up and got lucky. Awesome song.

  • interesting........

  • PERFECT- Roxy Music at its best

  • Mon Dieu !!

Is this track realy some 35 years olde ????

Still sounds as good today as it did then - Viva la Roxy Music !!!

  • This song is way ahead of its time for 1975.

  • MR SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHHHHHHHH!

  • A fantastic song. Nice images here in accompaniement.

  • fanfuckintastic!!!

  • The band pictures from 03:21 ...

anyone else think the character Riff Raff, in The Rocky Horror Show was modelled on Brian Eno's look? . . . . Although both this song and the film came out in 1975 - wonder which was first? . . . just a thought! lol

  • actually he was, roxy music started in 1973, so yeah...

  • @soniclady89 ..what are you talking about??...That Eno look was 72-73!!

  • @clive66swimworldwide

If you notice from my comment, I never stated as fact that Riff Raff was based on Eno's look, I posed a question . 'does anyone else think . . .'

It's perfectly reasonable to presume that Richard O'Brien 'liked' the Eno look from earlier years (as Eno had left the band in '73, 2 yrs before song & film) and decided it would be the ideal look for Riff Raff!

And my second 'general' question was, which came 1st in '75, the film or the song?

    Thanks for watching :)

  • ...he actually reminds me of Elrond from Lord of...:)

  • @soniclady89

Ha! He definitely has a Riff-Raffy look about him. Well spotted SonicLady89!

  • The drummer is highly underrated....

  • If Bryan Ferry married Jerry Hall she would be Jerry Ferry.

  • Thanks for this. Hard to believe this Roxy classic 'only' reached no.25 and was outsold at the time by the likes of Billy Howards 'King of the Cops' and a band named 'Wing and a Prayer Fife and Drum Corps' with 'Baby Face'.

  • Wow, Simply A Fantastic Song!!! I Really Love This One Very Much!!...Thankyou...Anita...

  • Great sound...5 stars *****

  • Thanks a lot for the collage. These pictures are great. Even by these days statndards these guys are so much above almost everything else as far as shomanship goes... Thank you.

  • Bryan Ferry RULES!!!!

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hot hot hot!

  • thanks - liked this video. if you really want to be totally cool wont you or somebody post a good version of the roxy music cover of 8 miles high??????
