  • I have virgin mobile. I'm getting this phone friday, (50.00 @ Target). Since i have the $25 plan how can i ,make sure i stay with that plan? do i just keep my number?

  • @GarminFou just keep your same number and don't change plans.

  • I just got this phone about a week ago. I love it the only problem i have is the poor battery life. But i installed juicedefender and it seems a tad better. Also ive been with virgin mobile for only about a year and ive changed phones about 3 times. I still only pay the 25$ a month plan.

  • @guitarist9626 yep, probably the biggest drawback is the battery life, but using apps like juice defender and disabling background data can help with that. And yes, as long as you don't change your plan, you'll continue to enjoy the $25/month plan because you were grandfathered in when VM changed their plan prices. New VM customers will pay the new prices.

  • Do you know if new VM memebers can eventually drop their per month price to 25$ like Boost mobile does after a certin number of months?, or is the 25$ per month only for older members of VM?

  • @alexlove936 no, the lowest plan for new VM customers is $35. Those enjoying $25/mo plan were existing VM customers who were grandfathered in when VM made their most recent plan pricing changes.

  • @geeklooptv Gotcha, thanks for the advice , also nice review man

  • Dear former Optimus users, would you get his phone or would you wait for the htc wildfire s to come out on virgin mobile? Thanks!

  • @wowitzelijah11 newer phones with better hardware are going to be more expensive, so it really depends on how much money you want to spend. The Optimus V is still a great phone for the price.

  • what is the 25 doller plan

  • @JAYSON4132 the $25 plan no longer exists for new customers. Virgin Mobile changed their prices. The lowest plan is now $35.

  • you have really big hands 0_o

  • Getting this phone TODAY <3 Hehe ^-^

Well time to go & get it xP

    Byeeee <3 xoxoxo

  • im thinking of buying this phone do u recommend it

  • @chrissedeski yea unlimited texting but you have a limit on the number of talking minutes you have

  • @geeklooptv the screen is plastic don't listen to that dumbass lol.

  • I wouldnt sit there talking i would rip that sucker right open!

  • your finger is bigger than the entire phone lol

  • @Vahayr umm yes u can install it into ur phone. There is an app for it.But for you to do video chat i think it hass a spesific list of phones because remeber that the camara iss on the back of the phone :) -hope this helped

  • Oh i didnnt know?Because I have the Lg Optimus v and they didnt let me know? And Is it for New users or old users? -Please Respond! :)

  • @SlimSmiley1

    excuse me

can u install skype on this phon from the android market?

  • A screen protector for a glass screen? You do realize that makes no sense, right? The glass in these screens is nearly impossible to scratch but are relatively easy to crack. Even if you put a screen protector on it, if it falls from a good distance into concrete, the screen will crack.

Congrats on the phone, though. I'm getting one soon, though I am maddened at the fact they decided to raise the cost of the cheapest plan by a whole $10.

  • @Atheismrulez at the time, I thought the screen was plastic or similar material.

  • I read that it is still going to be "unlimited" but if you exceed 2.5G of data, they throttle your phone..meaning they slow it down. I am considering buying the phone, but I dont want that to happen..I would think 2G of data is more than enough and average usage rarely exceeds that right?

  • @Murph1331 yes, the average user - likely won't exceed 2.5GB per month. The average YouTube video doesn't use much bandwidth at all. Now, if you are on your 3G connection all day every day, downloading music, watching YT vids, and Skype, that's a different story. But then you run into battery life issues!

  • im getting that one!!! and the plan that costs $25 dollars for 300 min with UNLIMITED: Texting ,data, and web :D OMG i soud like those commercial ladies

  • @TheAGFOREVERSTUDIOS FYI they just increased the price of their cheapest plan from $25/month to $35/month and starting in October they will not be offering "unlimited" data.

  • @geeklooptv D:

  • @geeklooptv Wait so no unlimited at all? or is it still unlimited with the 55 per month?

  • @justwealth the $55 plan has unlimited minutes. But starting in October the data for all plans will no longer be "unlimited".

  • love the music in the background

  • Its a good phone except if ur a app junky like me 2 gb memory card is nothing

  • Gonna get this next week!!!!!!!

  • I love this phone. Apps are so easy to download and it's fast! I love the swipe text! Virgin mobile did wonderful! It's their best yet! If you are looking for a great priced smartphone get this one!! It's so cool!

  • man virgin mobile needs to get more phone like blackberry phone or iphone or evo or samsung phones people ask more for this phone virgin mobile needs to get them

  • Is it possible to use the phone like an ipod touch and use the Wifi you have at home? And when you purchased the phone, how much was tax? Thanks :D

  • @KawaiiBunny2014 you can use WiFi without activating the phone, so yes, you could use it like an iPod Touch. You might want to look up the sales tax rates in your area to get an idea of what you'd pay.

  • Hey!!!!!!!!! now i know how to open the box :P

  • blakberry or this?!

  • @sashamonsterr this.

  • So I Virgin Mobile is like Metro PCS as in I can go to a physical store and shop, instead I would have to go to a Target, Radio Shack, Wal*Mart ect. to get this phone?

  • @SkullsNCrossbones23 not walmart i went to walmart yesterday they didnt have it so i couldnt get it til today.

  • I just bought mine online!!!

  • i want one so badly now

  • If you text alot!! does that make the battery go low??

  • @MsBeiberlover98 doing anything a lot will drain the battery. But turning off background data can help extend battery life.

  • @geeklooptv Appkiller is a hell of a thing

  • Hey how long does the battery last and how long does it take to recharge?

  • @Gera1035 the battery life depends on how you use it. In my experience, the battery lasts about 1.5 days before I have to recharge it. I just recharge it every night. I've also turned off background data to extend battery life.

  • If I move my number from MetroPcs to Virgin Mobile and let's say in the future I want to leave Virgin Mobile, will it let me transfer the Virgin number to any other carrier?

  • @eddy97thethird I believe it is a federal law that you can port your number to any provider as many times as you wish.

  • If you get the $25 plan, do you have to use all of the 300 minutes? Or can you get rollover minutes, to use for the next month?

  • @lilvato10 there are no rollover minutes. You get the 300 minutes for the month and it resets each month.

  • @lilvato10 honestly for $25 and unlimited text and data not having roll over is something i can totally live with.

  • hey man i ordered it and i got a flip phone ima go back to vergin mobile

  • Does the phone feel sturdy and solid or does it feel cheap?

  • @nascfranz it feels like it's worth the $150 I paid for it.

  • can you feel something when you touch it or is it like the ipod touch where it doesnt have that feeling where u are clicking a button?

  • @nikki745 the screen is flat and smooth, like an iPod Touch.

  • can i get my number from boostmobile on here?

  • @jandheartz see below

  • do you think it lets you keep your old number if you were on a different plan from virgin mobile before and you switch to the plan with this phone?

  • @Brimbod they ported my number over from Net10 in less than 48 hours without a problem.

  • So once you buy the phone can you walk out the store without actually buying a card right then and there? Cause I hada pre-paid phone from Kroger and didn't need to buy a card right away because the receipt had a code with it and I got like free 200 minutes for purchasing the phone and becoming a new user, so is that the same with this? Or you gotta choose a card plan as well before walking out the store with just the phone?

  • @LadiiTopModel the phone does not come with any minutes. You can either buy your first block of minutes from the retailer that sold you the phone or you can purchase them via phone or online through Virgin Mobile. You can activate the phone without putting any minutes on it, but you won't be able to use voice, text, or data until you make your first plan payment.

  • @LadiiTopModel Ok, cool. Thank you so much for replying fast too. You helped me out a lot. Thanks! I'm definitely getting this phone. :)

  • Does it have a sim card slot ?

  • @ geeklooptv do you just buy the cards and that is what equals each plan like 25$ and so on or do you need a credit card for that. Can you explain for me in depth. really would appreciate it

  • @Dsay123 you can buy the Virgin Mobile cards from any authorized retailer and apply them to your account via phone or web. As long as you have enough credit applied to your account by the time your current minutes expire, you'll be fine. You don't need a credit card to use this phone.

  • i hear win xp install music

  • I would have IMMEDIATELY 100% BOUGHT THIS PHONE IN A HEARTBEAT because it is the best for only 25 dollars a month

    only thing that sucks is

their coverage is so small x.x so I can't use it :(

  • @Travsterable you're right, Sprint is not known for their outstanding coverage (Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint network), but for those in covered areas, it's a great phone!

  • How do i pay for the plan?

  • @ExtremeCardz when I purchased the phone at Radio Shack, I was able to purchase $40 of worth of Virgin Mobile credits. The receipt contained a code that I entered on the Virgin Mobile Website to put the minutes on my phone. You can continue to purchase time through authorized retailers, or you can enter your credit/debit card information on the Virgin Mobile website and it will auto-bill you each month. But remember, you can stop at any time with no penalty because there's no contracts!

  • este celular tiene ranura para sim card?

  • Great video.... Can I keep my boost mobile number if I wanted 2 get this phone?

  • @Onelove891318 I called Virgin Mobile support and had my number ported from Net10 in less than 24 hours. I assume you would have similar results if you wanted to port your number from Boost.

  • @geeklooptv im change from Net10 To this phone for the $25 plan and i wanted to keep my number too thx man im SUBSCRIBING!!!

  • Is this phone compatible with the adobe flash app?

  • @biomed125 no, this phone does not support Adobe Flash. Apparently Flash requires a minimum of 1GHz clock speed from the CPU (and even then it doesn't run that great, from some of the reviews I've read). The LG Optimus V sports a 600MHz processor, which is zippy enough for most applications, but won't run Adobe Flash. In fact, the Adobe Flash app doesn't even appear in the Android Market on this phone.

  • do i have to activate it to be able to download apps on the market. and will the wifi work without adding money?

  • @kandisloco no, and yes :)

  • can you download blackberry messenger on this ?

  • Is there a activation fee for this phone ?

  • @sexcmystery1 there is no activation fee - you just need to pay your first plan payment of $25, $40, or $60 depending on which plan you choose.

  • Nice phone Dallin.

  • great vid i ordered mine friday i caint till i get it

  • nice vid
