I heard this was the cheapest video ever produced. Like, $7,000. Even in 1984 dollars that was incredibly cheap. They just set some equipment up in a studio and did a couple of takes and laid the album track over the shots. And it went on to be a favorite video. Compare that with the cost of Thriller.
