Andy Scott, the guitarist to the left as you look at the stage, is the only original member here (original as most of us remember them that is) Brian Connolly the original singer & Mick Tucker the original drummer have both sadly died. Steve Priest the original bassist, as far as I know still plays with his own version of The Sweet. I have to say that despite this being primarily a punk festival, I thought The Sweet were the best band I saw all weekend!
Andy & the boys pulled a pretty good crowd for this one! The certainly do "have a clue what to fucking do"! And "Absolutely bloody marvellous" as well!
is there actually any of 'The' Sweet left alive, or even in this tribute band?? Not knocking them - they do a good job though.
