@LFiers: Vegas Pro vs. Premiere Elements is roughly akin to Final Cut vs. iMovie. One is a professional grade application, while the other is intended for generic home-use. If you want serious professional-quality video editing, I would suggest Premiere Pro CS4 or later. It easily holds its own against FCP and Avid (and even has some advantages over the other, more well-established NLES).

Thanks man, this really helped me because I am going to get this program very soon and I didn't know how to use it or anything. I just have one question though - How do you make the video widescreen? For example, here on YouTube, they have the video player set to the widescreen pixels, and when I upload videos to YouTube, I want my pictures to fit the whole screen. I just need to know how to make sure that the video gets saved/published as widescreen when in Adobe Premiere Elements 7. Thanks.

Remember: The slo mo clip will run in TWICE (slowed to 50%) or 10 TIMES (slowed to 10%) the time of the original.

Select the clip you want to slow down.

On the top menu, select "Clip" then "Time Stretch."

Clips are at 100% (real time). To slow to half speed, input 50%. Ten times as fast as the original? Input 10%.

Remember: The slo mo clip will run in 1/2 (50%) or 1/10 (10%) of the time of the original.  Your slowed clip will now take up less space. Clips to the right of the slowed clip will move in or have to be moved in to fill up the empty space.

Sadly no. They released it before YouTube accepted 2GB and HD video. And Adobe have no plans to patch it to do so.

So you will need to export the file, and then manually upload it.

I guess they are going to do this for Elements 8.

It has 117 different transitions ranging from useful to tacky. If you aren't editing professional videos, it should have everything that you need.

i use this program all the time and i have a hq camera but when i put it on the program the quality changes and im thinking of geting a hd camera but if i cant change the quality then theres not point. is there a way to make the quality better

You need to set the quality of your project to match the quality of your camera for best results. However, there isn't any way to drastically improve quality without upgrading your camera.

I did drop the ball on this video because it was my first attempt at using screen capture software. I encoded the capture at the wrong frame rate and there was no way to convert the file to a format Premiere Elements would accept without a huge disparity between audio and video syncs. But it's not as expensive as you say...it's under $100. I have since tweaked my screen capture software to encode at the correct frame rate...check out some of my newer vids that were edited in Premiere Elements.
