Great video,brings back memories i arrived on the"Coalville Cobbler" railtour from St pancras if i remember rightly i was 17 yrs old ,my god 20 yrs ago lol!i was with my younger friend Mark ,i tried to look for us in your video but i think most of your footage was shot earlier in the day. i miss the late 80s and early90s they were the best time for 37s and 47s etc sadly now just handful of each survive on the mainline. cheers
I was there too. I would have been 5 aswell. I remember it quite well considering. Also if you watch closely you can see the my old workplace which is now the springboard centre. Cool. A few old memories re-visited.

Was this the event where a class 47 was renamed after the railway childrem charity if so we were there
remember going on a dmu with perforated heater from leicestre along the freight only line to mantle lane, There was a western there as well
