  • Imma LeBron fan but I gotta admit Kobe is easily Top 5 of all time, no one has scored as easily as him EVER, besides Jordan

  • @ilovefrankandbeans Obviously I didn't base my statement on this one game. Dumbfuck

  • kobe travels at 4:12. he picks up his dribble and then dribbles again. go to sleep

  • Kobe was hittin' nothin but net, absolute firree

  • I like this game more than Kobe's 61 at MSG. Kobe was on fire with his jumpshot in that one. But in this game Kobe was scoring all over the floor with some circus moves, and that sick reverse dunk in Sprewell's face.

  • People today want to compare the younger players today with the OLD Kobe. Of course Lebron, Wade, Rose and Durant have the advantage today. But none of those young bucks have a chance against a young Kobe. Kobe's great talents were just overshadowed/overlooked at the time because of the post-Jordan hangover, Shaq's ego, and Kobe's stubborn attitude.

  • KOBE BRYANT IS AN ASSASIN!!

  • The best offensive player of all time. Period

  • @filahohi this is just one game you dumbfuck

  • Kobe is truly a legend .

  • JORDAN 7'S!!!!!

  • Yo Kobe BEEN putting in WORK for a looooong time..

  • there are WAY too many people on here that think Kobe is better than Mike.

    No he's not.

There are also too many people on this page who even know anything about lebron james. Lebron is no one. Kobe is everything lebron wishes he could be. And kobe is great.

  • @MichRockHop81108 man i seen mike and im tellin on the offensive end kobe is more skilled if you dont believe look up phil jacksons reaction to it he said he is

  • fuck you faggots that think basketball is still good so youre like kobes the best ever. no he's not.

  • @MichRockHop81108 now now lebron, don't be jealous

  • @JinjaB123 who are you talking about? I dont know the name that you're talking about because as far as I'm concerned lebron is nobody.

But there are WAY too many people on this page that think he's in the top 3 or even best ever. No he's not. Great, greatest of the 2000's and still the greatest. But not greater than MJ. not greater than kareem. not greater than these guys who played in the 80's (the height of the NBA in my opinion

But please don't insult me my friend Lebron is no one. no one.

  • @MichRockHop81108 fosho fosho, my bad. we're on the same page. As far as I know, I'm 20 years old and I never saw Jordan or Kareem play or Magic. I've seen many of their highlights but its not the same. How old are you. I'm interested, because I think Kobe is in the top 5 of players the league has ever seen, but I want to get an older perspective. I've never seen anyone near Kobes level in my time of watching the NBA

  • @JinjaB123 I'd put him at the best at 10. especially when he does it on the road Kobe really is unbelievable everyone gets so pissed. My thing is that I have seen many games, it's a second hobby of mine to study it and learn it. The game has changed.....so much since the 90s..and I have to be honest I hate what I see. I hate it, but I know why it's gotten that way. It's because people don't care about the GAME for the GAMES sake. They just want their team to win to feel good about themselves WWF

  • @JinjaB123 and that's why I put him at ten because he's unreal but I dont think he'd be that same type of player if he played in an earlier place in time. the defense would never let him even take those shots but for example now if any guy makes any contact any at all when he releases then he gets two foul shots anyway......THATS all im saying wtf is that soft bullshit? thats soft! what are they soft?!?

  • at the HEIGHT of his athletic prime.. kobe made everybody look bad.. from 02-09 Kobe did whatever he wanted on the hardwood

  • MJ is better than Kobe and it's not really all that close. MJ can do things Kobe just physically can't mainly because of how big MJ's hands were. MJ was also much stronger.

Only thing Kobe has on MJ is a more consistent 3 point shot.

  • Hahaha Craig and his random ties

  • i dont think so. MJ is the legend!!! he is the greatest of them all. no one can beat him.

  • LOOK YOU STUPID KOBE FUCKS...Career scoring average MJ 30.1 ppg, Kobe 25.0 Career assists MJ 5.3, Kobe 4.6 steals per game MJ 2.4, Kobe 1.5.......I can go on and on you stupid bitches

  • @ilovefrankandbeans your a bitch...kobe is better

  • still 1 of the greatest dunks ever

  • Goddamn, Shaq was fucking hefty that season.

  • @whitesprite exactly, I remember Shaq came out with some HUGE muscles that season!

  • 4:25... GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!

  • Nigga dunkin like his name is vince carter

  • one dazzling shot after another..wow...crazy performance from the best

  • 1:11 that dunk is just nasty! he is the best windmill reverse dunker ever you should see the one he does against Kevin Garnett man thats just nasty.

  • young kobe is arguably the best ever period

  • @thug8200 Thank you! finally! lol

  • @ahmad24lal lol only speak the truth

  • @thug8200 shut the fuck up, how dare you say that stupid shit....MJ is the best ever PERIOD

  • @ilovefrankandbeans you just let your mj man crush show

  • Comment removed

  • @ilovefrankandbeans mj sucks..durant and king james are better

  • @krazzyyo2 fuck your mom someone should slit her throat

  • no regard for human life

  • i think that dunk at 1:22 is his best dunk

  • mj fans suck more dick then every hoe in vegas

  • @thug8200 Strange how you would know what every Ho in Vegas is like to compare..

  • @TontoNo5 wow what a comeback you must suck mj dick seein that this is a kobe video and you came to it to talk trash

  • @thug8200 I came to watch the Kobe video, and then saw soooo may Kobe fans talking nonsense about the Kobe/MJ debate, I figured a little reality needed to be presented. I'm not talking trash, I'm spitting facts.

  • @TontoNo5 lmao

  • @thug8200 he has no friends, haha , having arguments on youtube w/ people he doesn't even know about topics unrelated to the video is the only way he can have some sort of a conversation i guess, what a douche.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 yep must not

  • Damn people are still comparing kobe to jordan?? its 2011!!! that shits in the past

  • MJ has mad skillz! Kobe has mad skillz! The only thing that separates Kobe and Jordan is the way Kobe performs in his FINALS appearances, being that Jordan killed it, and Kobe played well, but not at Jordan's level. But both MJ and Kobe by far, are the most skilled offensive players of all time.

They both would whoop on all those trash guards of the 80's and 90's. Yeah, I'm talking about Magic, Bird, Oscar... whoever it is, these 2 cats will murder any of those players. HAnds down.

  • Kobe is better than MJ. Skill wise. MJ just looked better when he did things. MJ can't shut you down, but is one of the best help defenders of all time. But Kobe can play you man to man, and D you up. I know everybody wants to throw stats and championships into but you can't and if you did then the greatest players of all time would be Russell and Chamberlain....greatest winner and the greatest stat stuffer..

  • @T82486 The point is no one won championships and stat stuffed like Jordan, thats why he's the GOAT!!! Wilt had the stats but not the chips, Russell had the chips but not the stats, just a great team!! I've never seen anybody dominate like Jordan while winning championships, Kobe is a good imitation though. Probably the closest we will see!

  • @T82486 thats fact

  • @T82486 Kobe is by far, in his prime, the most skilled player in NBA history. its too bad he never had this team he has now when he was the Kobe in 2005 and 2006.

  • Most certainly. I mean Jordan is the greatest in the NBA history. But he couldn't do everything GREAT, they are some things he could just do ok. And that's where ppl get it messed up. Kobe could do everything great and some things better than Mike on the court. Kobe is no Jordan, but Jordan's no Kobe.

  • @T82486 MJ is the best skill wise, talent wise, physically, mentally, the whole nine yards buddy. you dumbass

  • @ilovefrankandbeans ok mj is better than kobe theres no doubt about that. but kobe is great all on his own. and people act like mj had no flaws in his game. hes not the best physically. lebron is by far more athletic and much much much stronger and i hate the guy. skill wise, mj is not a very good three point shooter. he had his games but it wasn't much of a threat on most days.

  • @Pewpshmear you mentioned that bill russell was the greatest winner of all time, but keep in mind the NBA back then never had as many teams as today, and that MJ won 6 titles without a hall of fame center. Kobe had Shaq, Magic had Kareem, Bird had Parrish and McHale. We all know that scoring from inside the paint is an offensive's best weapon. Look at the statistical matchup that I displayed earlier....numbers dont lie. IF you think kobe is more skilled, thats your opinion. But numbers dont lie

  • @ilovefrankandbeans i didn't say russell was the greatest winner of all time. he played in a league where there were like 15 teams or something like that. robert horry is the greatest winner of all time lol

  • @T82486 and kobe is a better shooter...and kobe didn't have the team mj had

  • @T82486 You don't watch basketball. Who won defensive player of the year in 1987? Michael Jordan will forver be the greatest ever. When you compare the eras, kobe would never stand a chance in the 80s and 90s. Dumbass.

  • @PinpjJ10205 So? Who scored 81 points and who didn't? Exactly. Stop comparing the two, you'll just get into senseless and idiotic arguments via the internet, and unless you absolutely have no life, you'll refrain from doing such.

  • @SekaizZ I wasn't talking to you shithead. MJ could score 100 at ease in today's pussified NBA, so mind your own business fucktard.

  • @PinpjJ10205 whoa, look at the internet thug. But you know what's sad? He's not playing in "today's NBA." He's in retirement. There is no "if", smart one. There is no "could." You just need to hop of Michael Jordan's dick, because, apparently, you've been sitting on that for too long. Pretty sad that you cling to something like that.

  • @SekaizZ Why are you still talking to me. Like, get a life you shithead.

  • @T82486 Kobe is my favorite player of all time and he was the best player of the decade, but Jordan was just an animal from another planet. He played in the hardest era and was very skillful. Jordan was a combination of kobe and lebron. He was one of the best scores and one of the best clutch players to ever play like kobe and was one of the best all around players and finishers to ever play the game like lebron. . Its a combination of many things. Jordan=goat kobe=right there behind jordan.

  • Kobe is better than MJ. Skill wise. MJ is just looked better when he did things. Plus he's heart will always be with his team...to where as Kobe...believes in his.

  • lol and he was the sidekick during the 3 peat????

  • dude, 0:46. i love it! its so sick looking. im obssessed with his game. much smoother than MJ's fadeaway and Kobe perfected it. the most skilled player ever.

  • Comment removed

  • @mambaKB24mvp

Pretty sure MJ has done that numerous amount of times boi

  • Fuck Shaq. Why we got rid of your ass. If you notice his ass always goes to a team with a Soon to be hall of famer(s) on there. Heat then Cavs then now Celtics lol his ass needs Kobe.

  • that dunk and kevin harlan gets me everytime

  • wow at the fadeaway at 6:27

  • i love kevin harlan's reactions lol

  • Right between the EYES!! :D

  • "with no reguard for human life!"

  • Comment removed

  • @werty13z i think it was kevin harlan that was calling the game, not marv.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 my mistake

  • KOBe to me is the best player ever. more clutch than MJ. thts my opinion.. plus Kobe scores 81 points Mj has never score more than him. one more ring kobe will tie MJ. people only say jordan is better because he has 6 rings thts all.

  • @vincesaidyoo : well, Kobe had 81 with 6 boards, 2 assists, and 3 steals

Jordan had 69 points, 18 boards, 6 assists, and 4 steals.

Kobe had his high versus a hapless Raptors team.

Jordan got his against a Cavs team that was one of the best in the league.

I don't know why you think scoring a lot of points, and that alone, makes Kobe a better player.

  • @TontoNo5 it took mj an OT to get to his 69.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 right all of kobes major games have come within the 48 minutes kobe is the most deadly offensive player ever

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 Yes, because the game was tight right up until the end. Kobe's Raptors' game was over with like 5 minutes left, the Lakers up 15, and Kobe just kept shooting.

  • @TontoNo5 coz the crowd and his teammates told him to,even lamar odom said everyone was encouraging him to go for 70,but kbe did better,he wnet for 81,plus the lakers was down 15+ points in that game before kobe started to take over the game.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91

Was that the season that Odom was quoted as saying something like, "I think God put us to here to watch Kobe Bryant play basketball", and he meant that literally - that the Lakers sometimes could do nothing but watch, because Kobe wasn't big on giving up the ball when he was shooting a lot. The Raptors looked depressed that game, but so did the other LA guys. LA was down 15, yes, and came back on Kobe's shoulders:but they were also up 15 when Kobe kept padding his stats.

  • @TontoNo5 can you blame kobe for not passing the ball? he's teammates were smush parker, kwame brown, chris mihm, etc,a bunch of players that don't even play in the NBA anymore, and some of them still do,but usually spends more time on the bench, geez, but seriously,if you were in kobe's shoes, you have 50+ in the 3rd,game is still reachable by the other team, you're the only one that is actually producing all game long, the crowd and teammates is telling you to keep shooting, what would you have done?

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 Can we blame Kobe? Can you blame guys for 'not receiving'? Diss Kobe's teammates all you want, but 1) They *were* his teammates 2) no one got better by being ignored 3) Odom and other guys were capable and 4) Kobe WANTED a Shaqless team. Kobe publicly dissed Andrew Bynum, and now sings his praises. Not the best judge of talent.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 I'm not saying Kobe's play didn't win the game for LA. It did. I'm saying his point total was inflated by keeping him in after the game was won. That dilutes the '81' when compared to other 'big' games. For 'big' games, I prefer Jordan's 69/18/7/4, or Robinson's Quadruple-double (34/ 10/ 10 /10) - or, in another meaningless, stat-padding game, Robinson's 71/14/5/2 : it meant as much as Kobe's. Ditto for David Thompson's 73/7/2, the game maybe most comparable to Kobe's

  • @TontoNo5 kobe ignored them coz they weren't capable,at least not in kobe's level and expectations, seriously, smush parker, mihm, crittenton, brian grant, aaron mckie, profit, jim jackson, devin green, atkins and jumaine jones, where are they now? if you look at that line up ,you'd think it was a d-league team, and you expect kobe to be a willing passer?,when none of those guys are capable of averaging 10 PPG in a good playoff team?hell they can't even get a contract from an NBA team now,.....

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 OK, so you got the lineup wrong too: The 81-point game had the following cast:

Starting: Kwame Brown,Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, Smush Parker, + Bryant

Bench: Devean George, Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, Brian Cook, Devin Green, Von Wafer, Andrew Bynum

FYI, Lamar, Bynum, and Walton are still on the Lakers, and I think Sasha was still there for a few. Kwame's in Charlotte, George is on the Warriors, Cook is on the Clippers.

LA, as a team, took 88 shots that game. Kobe took 46.

  • @TontoNo5 i'm not talking about the 81 point game, smartass,i'm talking about the whole stretch kobe carried the lakers w/ a bunch of d-league level players.and yeah kobe took 46 shots, and got 81 of their 122 points,so what's your point?,you don't think scoring 81 points in just 46 shots is impressive?that means the other players have a total of 41 points in 42 shots, kobe got 81 in just 46,....do the math

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 Well, we *were* talking about that game, that season. If insist on picking all the so-so players from ALL of Kobe's years, then why ignore all the good ones too? Just like everyone ignores the fact that Kobe pretty much *asked* for those teams, to could have his *own* team

I never said scoring 81 points wasn't impressive. I said it's 'inflated' by Kobe still shooting with just a few minutes left, and LA up 15. You sit your starters in those situations. In basketball, anyhow.

  • @TontoNo5 the best one he got during that time was lamar odom ,radmanovic, and base on their starting line up,smush and kwame, all of those players that started in that year are all bench players now ,and smuch is now playing abroad, guys like brian cook, george, mihm, farmar, sasha, walton can't even get decent minutes now,but back then they were key players for the lakers, that just show you how weak the team was.....

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 It also kind of shows you how little any of those players developed during those years of Kobe-ball (That's a term Phil Jackson used, and in a way that meant ".. I hope we don't have to devolve to playing Kobe-ball again). Otherwise, you look at a guy like Steve Kerr, who was an unknown before the Bulls, and remained a key element for a Spurs championship team afterwards. Some people will say that Kerr was just more talented. I say Kerr developed at a player under MJ and Pip.

  • @TontoNo5 the lakers were down 18 huge points early in the 3rd quarter that game, then kobe went off, that's how fast he scored all those points,he started going off and did it in just 1 half,he was better than average in the 1st half and was amazing in the 2nd half,he score all those baskets in bunches and scored it quick, that's probably why everyone, fans even the players and coaches got so caught up into the moment and just let kobe played even when the game was already decided.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 Well, the fans were caught up, the players were kind of.. well, not caught up. The Lakers looked kinda of disheartened, which was weird for a team that just came back from 18 down. I don't believe Phil Jackson was caught up, he rarely is. This was the 'let Kobe get this out of his system' year for Phil, so it was more a matter of saying, "You want to stay in and keep shooting now that we're up 15 and the game's pretty much over, or do you want to sit and rest and avoid injury?"

  • @TontoNo5 that's why it's tough to judge a game just by watching the highlights on youtube and just by reading the papers and analyzing it just through stats and numbers alone, the thrill and the moment is just not there,if you were in that game like i was live, you'd understand why kobe was still played even tho the game's already decided,he just scored all those points so quick in the 2nd half, that you just have to be so caught up,plus if kobe went out of the game, the crowd would have went wild.

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 Yes, it is tough to judge a game by just highlights or the box score, which is why I watched the game. I'm just not a huge Bryant homer, so I was watching a little more objectively, and noticed the rest of the game, too, not just Kobe shooting the ball. It just struck me as more of a Pete Maravick / Harlem Globetrotter kind of exhibition than an actual basketball game after a while.

  • @TontoNo5 you're just being a hater, even larry bird said it was amazing, magic johnson and even phil said it was comparable to wilt chamberlain's 100 ,yup phil jackson was also amazed, those guys has accomplish more basketball feats more than everyone on youtube, and THEY were amazed,so why can't you do the same,oh wait that's right, coz you're a HATER.how the hell would you try to even discredit a person off of scoring 81 points in a game in just 46 shots? WOW,insecure much?

  • @WEZxxxxZYDxxx91 I've said over and over that 81 in a game is impressive nomatter how you weight it. If you want to weigh it more objectively in terms of an overall performance, or in the context of the Lakers development that season, or in the context of the season it was done in (11 players, mostly shooters, averages over 24 ppg that year, and 3 players averaged well over 30), or in any context that might send some objective criticism, then you say it's hating. It's not, it's just reality.

  • @TontoNo5 dude. the Lakers were down 20 points the game Kobe scored 81. first off. second, Kobe is more skilled than MJ. he litterally can do whatever he wants. MJ could too i guess, but he couldnt shoot like Kobe, especially the way Kobe can hit tough, contested shots. know one hits shots like Kobe. thats incredibly easy to realize. hes a better ballhandler and i always thought, and still do think that MJ is a better driver of the ball. but after watching this its closer than i thought.

  • @mambaKB24mvp

If Kobe's a better ball handler, why is his turnover rate so much poorer than Jordan's? If Kobe's a better shooter, why is his field goal percentage worse than Jordan's? If Kobe's better at hitting long-range shots with people in his face, and Jordan was better at getting clear and freeing himself up for better shots, why is that a plus for Kobe? Seriously, people confuse doing things flashier with doing them with more skill.

  • happy belated bday KOBE!

  • "Kobe Bryant, with no regard for human life!"

  • kobe is better than michael jordan

  • @actoman1 non sense u mus be a teenager

  • kobe is the second greatest bball player to ever play

  • Kobe 2002-03 was the best player of all time!

  • @reneperezz thats what i said

  • I hope that with his knee being able to fully heal over the summer, he can jump like that again.

  • "Oooooh Kobe Bryant right between the eyes"

  • kobe in number 8 is nasty

  • this is when kobe was starting to become the "kobe of today"

alot of people forget what kobe did this season he had a streak of 35 and 40pt games

  • Kevin Harlan is one of the best play by play guys in the business.

  • Michael was the best of his time, Kobe is the best of his time. It's like comparing apples to oranges. two different players, both great. stop arguing, shits annoying.

  • Is 61 my friend.

  • noooooooooooooooo not that utfanatic2000 fag again

  • @shadowd00ms hah! Miss me?

  • yeah...Kevin Harlan best commentator....and "BarcelonaSpain100" is right...i've never thought id see a player so dominant like MJ

  • ya i agree kevin harlan is the best i also like van gundy and mark jackson but i hate mike tirico

  • Wats da commentators name again?? I always like it when he is commentating on TNT

  • Kevin Harlan baby: NO REGARED FOR HUMAN LIFFE, RIGHT BETWEEEN THE EYES, BUCKLE UP FOR KOBE BRYANT. HE JUST SUCKED THE GRAVITY RIGHT OUT OF THE TARGET CENTER.

  • Kevin Harlan is the best commentator on tv. Mike Breen second and Mike Fratello isn't bad himself. Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson hands down best analysts. HATE REGGIE MILLER. Marv Albert has been boring me lately :/

  • best commentator in d nba! mark jackson second

  • greatest ever... kobe is the bruce lee of basketball...waaaaaaaa!

  • Kobe is at Jordan's level.....i never thought id see a player as dominant asJordan again.

  • @BarcelonaSpain100 No, Kobe is not at Jordan's level....he occasionally gets there, but can't maintain that for years like MJ did. Kobe's BEST in the playoffs and finals, is Jordan's AVERAGE.

  • @utfanatic2000 get a life son

  • @shadowd00ms Got a life...and I also recognize reality: That Jordan was better than Kobe.

  • @BarcelonaSpain100 wow. what u said gave me chills for a sec. i dont know if it was the comment or it just happening. (that sounded gay). anyways, Kobe is better than MJ. more skill, better tough shot maker, better footwork, handles. MJ could drive better and post better. and was better at defense. but Kobe should have at least 3 MVPs and would have at least 8 scoring titles if he was never with shaq. u cant take away from him for that. i love this dude and when he retires ill hate the game.

  • Best Performence in MSG !!!

  • this game was better than the 61 point game he made crazy shots and that dunk was the dunk of the decade that reverse is his recipe i went crazy when i saw it on TV back in 03 like Harley said "this is unbelievable" better performance than the 09 season game at MSG

  • 1:26 the guy just laughs

  • wow Graig sager wearing a normal tucks...

  • Oh yeah I forgot to say, wasn't this 2003? This was the season where Kobe got ROBBED for MVP. Come on, he avg 30/7/6. The Lakers also had 50-32 season. Oh well.... :(

  • yep Tim Duncan got it instead, fucking stupid!

  • @z4ng3tsu1ch1g0

Well said man. People were going nuts over Durant last year when Kobe did what he did for like 3 straight years! People don't give him his due. This man should have 3 or 4 MVP's. He got robbed.

  • That's it mamba9381, I'm subbing right now bro :)

  • With out youtube, people would easily forget some of Kobe's amazing games. So if you're a "Kobe hater" you must hate youtube!

  • OMg Kobe is so good. I saw this game live and i was jumping and screaming when he did that reverse on sprewell

  • 1:16 OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH KOBE BRYANT!!!!!!! FOR HUMAN LIFE!!!!! LOL... U gotta love it.. =) lol..

  • pshh he could had like a minumum 70 pints if he really wanted to. lol nah, but he couldda got like 55 if he wanted to

  • this kills lebron's 50 point game in MSG last year... no doubt.

  • yes it does

  • hell naw

  • God i love Verne Lundquist.... "No regard for human life!"

  • Thats Kevin Harlan.

  • "He's a flamethrower!!"

why even try bcuz tha harder you try to gaurd him the better he does

  • Kobe destroying the knicks in the garden...hmmm doesnt this look familiar to that #23 guy...i forget his name
