Fall 1984 season: I was, and still am, a Clemson fan. My stepdad Ray took me to Charlottesville when Clemson came to play UVa; in his cherry red camarro( I drove with my learner's permit.I was in the 11th grade(Thomas Jefferson High School(JHW high school complex(Trojans baby!)).Clemson won 55-0. I was so excited and happy. I remember driving back home and listening to Morris Day and the time(Jungle love) via radio. Driving there and back, we played Sheila E's tape(ieGlamorous life).Great times!
um saltwater ur a DICK because u cant get ur facts right we beat fsu every yr even when they were ranked third because they suck ass and so do thinkin u know everything when really ur just a low beat hillbilly jackass
Maryland moved bigger home games from time to time to Baltimore, since Byrd Stadium at the time seated about 45,000. That's why you see baseball dirt on the field during the one clip vs. the Terps.
The last time the Terps played at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore was in 1988 against Penn State (who we only beat once back in 1961) which ended in a 13-13 tie. THey still play in B'more from time to time now at M&T Bank Stadium in Camden Yards most recently against the Naval Academy.
GO TIGERS, they were so good back then only if they still had danny fod he was the best coach clemson ever had but hopefully next season clemson will do somethin with all the talent they got
Nothing from the 84 & 87 USC games? I think other than when he played for the Bears, the 84 USC game is the only time William Perry took a handoff from a QB.........Pity...... Rodney..... Rodney....
wow...i love william perry chasing down that guy from like 10 yards away maybe...i alos love the 2 drop kick off returns and the long pass touchdowns....but the thing that sticks out the most is the fight they had then...they wanted to win at any cost... maybe oneday we will have the fight like that again...thanks for sharing...GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!
I can't believe in the first 30 seconds of that clip I could see officials wearing white shorts. I always thought they wore long white pants and the shorts would usually be done like in scrimmages.
But it wasn't hot it was done during the night, probably done in September but still you don't see officials in shorts in football during the regular season.

great highlights. Option football!
Why did Clemson stop running this type of an offense? I mean they're bulldozing opponents
Maryland, UNC, Virginia, even Stanford around
the 2:13 mark

Those two clips from the 1984 Virginia Tech game were pretty gay.
Other than that, I love how the first 1/5 of the video is cut from some Clemson-UVA game....lol

It probably had to be 130 degrees on that crappy turf at Charlottesville. Wouldn't you want to wear shorts, even if your legs looked terrible?
