@itskarmabxtch this is my local venue and it's because of where they're playing. They set it up with two bands on stage, so half the crowd is waiting for the shitty emo band that's next, in the seats, and the floor where all the streetlight fans were densely packed was barely seen. But I assure you, west palm loves its streetlight, same venue different area when I saw them where we could move they were fucking amazing. Craziest crowd I've seen second to hatebreed lol

this is why I think ska bands are soo much better, their musicians are usually friggin amazing because of the fast tempo of ska.

this is true, but ska bands also give rythem instruments like the bass and drums alot more freedom. cuz like in a rock band, if a bassist does alot of fills they get in teh way of guitar work. but in ska, the rythem basically gets to do whatever the fuck they want. so thatcher here and the bassist really get to show off

I love streetlight, and he's a DAMN good drummer, and probably my favorite right now.

But he's not the BEST drummer.

For one, he's not the steadiest when it comes to keeping a tempo live.

Don't go owning me, because I idolize them, but he's not THE BEST drummer.

Pretty much right. I wouldn't doubt that he is the best of his genre, but there are always better. In fact, id even venture that their original drummer, Paul Lowndes, was better, his syncopation was out of this world. But I still pretty much idolize thatcher.

And ska musicians aren't better because of the tempo, horn players generally kick ass because most of them are trained musicians (Everyone in SM but Kalnoky have degrees in music I believe), plus members of SM are gods.
