I live in Owensboro, Kentucky and I must say that it's an absolute shame that Nicky's hometown couldn't watch him race at Indianapolis. The power was out from extremely high winds and it took, for some people, as long as 3 days to restore power. If there's anybody who know's where on the internet I could find this race in it's entirety, that would be tremendous!

1º Me refiero a la afición, dando a entender que por deporte de motor dais por hecho un cohete con 4 ruedas haciendo 1/2 milla y solo si no llueve.

2º Cuando veas en el parking de Indianápolis más de 100000 motos (sport, claro está), que han hecho más de 700 kilómetros por carreteras secundarias (lo digo por las curvas, por si no te lo explicas) sabrás lo que es una afición volcada, que es a lo que me referia.

Y 3º No voy a negar que tuvierais grandísimos campeones en la época de los 80 ya que gente como Kenny Roberts, Shwantz y Rainey fueron los maestros del motociclismo actual, pero gente como Nicky o Kevin Jr. Al igual que Criville no son auténticos campeones, solo los segundones que tuvieron que esperar un momento de flaqueza o la retirada del autentico campeón.

I agree, there is no way you can win the championship on luck alone. Hayden rode well, put the pressure on a struggling Rossi and forced him into the mistakes he made. It was tough for me to watch, being another stupid Rossi fan, but Hayden won and rightfully so.

So your saying that stoner was lucky that ducati made an excellent machine from the transition to 800cc and thats why he won the championship. There aint no luck in racing. Rossi is the best but when facts are facts he lost the championship in 06 and had another shitty machine for 07 along with the rest of the field. Now as you can obviously see that both his machine and tires are working to the perfection he is racing to his best as you saw in laguna seca.

As to Nicky Hayden he didnt win the championship by pure luck, rossi made mistakes and was beaten fair and square. As to next year hopefully one my favorite riders, Dovizioso, will get a factory Honda and show Dani how winning a championship is done. Cant stand that little mofucka.

With me being in America, I had to deal with the atrocious commentary of the NBC sports team. I mean, it sounded as if the guy who was commentating (Not Kevin Schwantz mind you) had to look up "MotoGP" on Wikipedia just so he had an idea what he should be talking about.

Had to say, I missed the pleasant English accents of Nick Harris and Gavin Emmet from the SpeedTV coverage, even if they were taped races that aired 8 hours after the actual race.
