First of all. I am a friend of Janis. What happened was that night was the band has some serious sound issues. Jani could not hear his voice on stage. If you are a lead vocalist, that can be a nightmare. Half of the fist part of the show was a basic nightmare. The stage monitors were not working. I was told toward the end of the show they got stuff to work.
I think that the real story needs to be posted not someone's view with a camera phone.

You know, when you aren't part of a band for a while, you may not know every word to the song like you did when you wrote it. Jani may have had an off night. Or it was monitor problems. Also, if he can't sound like he's twenty you should remember he's not. He's older and hasn't sung with warrant for a while.

The problem wasn't that the bottom dropped out, the problem is they never saved any money nor did they invest it. They partied bought drugs, paid for their friends to join them on tours, wanted all the best on the ryder list (dressing rooms) all this has to be paid back to the record company at some point in time. Now they find themselves doing $500 a night gigs with nothing but a house to show for it. Even they can even afford that. The 80's were the best tho for rock!

The band should of got jani some help like aaa Rehab.and once hes better take him back hes the only singer for warrant and hes got alot of talent.this guy robert who they got now his voice gets to you after a while and gives you a headache.janie has a nicer voice.

Not being able to hear yourself on the monitors would not explain the fact that his timing is terrible, and the rest of the band has to slow down to keep things from falling apart. THAT is not a monitor problem.

It's not a monitor problem. He's drunk. If it was a monitor problem it would have been fixed within the first couple songs. Uncle Tom's Cabin is played later in the set. Jani is now known for this kind of crap. He let the band and the fans down. Monitors my ass. I wish it was that because I am a huge Warrant and Jani Lane fan, but we all know why he sounds like that - he has a drinking problem.

he was using ear moniters. Those acually work quite nicely. The fucker was just drunk. Im sorry but Jani was fired the 1st time around for the same shit. He's been in/out of rehab countless times...I dont find anything wrong with drinkin, but theres a time and place for everything

First of all. I am a friend of Janis. What happened was that night was the band has some serious sound issues. Jani could not hear his voice on stage. If you are a lead vocalist, that can be a nightmare. Half of the fist part of the show was a basic nightmare. The stage monitors were not working. I was told toward the end of the show they got stuff to work.
I think that the real story needs to be posted not someone's view with a camera phone.

I was there, he was so trashed, he walk off stage a least 6 times, he didnt know the words, at one point it sounded like someone choking a cat. Im a Warrant fan, I have seen them 5 times before, never like that.

Jani was walking off stage because he couldn't hear himself. Jani wasn't a happy camper. I am a lead vocalist in a band also and when there is no vocal monitors, you can't sing very well. I am sure what you heard, Jani did not hear. This was also early in the tour.

Nope. If a man is "wasted" for having one mixed drink. Then there are a lot of "wasted" people in bars. Jani is a professional on stage. When he "can't hear" because there are no front monitors. It makes it tough to sing in key. Jani has to hear himself!

for anyone who has tickets to a upcoming warrant show don't plan on goin because they will probably cancell the date. if anyone is plannin on buyin tickets. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! i had tickets for the show at lifestyle pavilion in columbus oh. they cancelled that date. great white and ratt were the bands added on to replace them and they kicked ass..
