If this is the dreck they call "theology" in colleges, no wonder Marx thought religion was "the opiate of the masses"! Real religion challenges the inner person and forces it to recognise a need to change. It can be painful. It can be impoverishing. Real religion brings you a peace no earthly man calls "peace". It is the thing that makes a man a real man.

My god(dess) doesn't believe in objective truth. S/he believes in pluriform truth. In fact, she's a practising Episcopalian! No liberated thealogian believes in immortality.
