@KINGxMANIACx The E8400 actually spanks the Q6600 in quite a few games. *FACTS FROM 3DGAMEMAN*. I personally use the Quad 6600 overclocked to 3.27GHz :P, no hard feelings.
Nicely done. :) I'm still using my old Antec 900 with a XFX 750i board, however the newest thing in my PC right now is the EVGA GTX 465 using 9800 GTX+ as a PhysX processor.
hey igchris, what powersupply are you using and does it require any extension cables to reach neccesary plugs etc such as cpu etc. i have a 902 and really liked ur cable managementsetup but cant use it due to short psu cables.
these arent used much anymore. they are for the bios to tell you whats wrong with the system or if its working. the green light is to tell you that the motherboard is getting power so you know your psu is working.
yes i know. but the speaker is very useful man.. one time when i changed the cpu cooler there was some beeps and the pc didnt start. if there wasnt the speaker, i wouldnt have known what was the problem
not just yet but i will in the next few months, this is as we are just a new channel and are already backed up with lists of videos to make. fortunately though there is cable management vids in the list so they will be made soon. subscribe if you are interested and i will then try and get them made sooner.
yes i will. and glad to hear that u will be making some cable managment toturials.. coz all i know to do cable managment is just put everything behind the mobo tray
also we have another channel to this. its called computerinfotubeqa and its for if you want to know something specific then just ask on that channel and well post a video to anwser it
uugghh, the 900 has such good cooling, but what is killing me is the side window, i just find it to be ugly with the triangular shape and crooked fan.. grr!!
Hey bro your video was just what i was looking for...I wantd to see what the fan looked like on the north bridge heatsink...thanks....Im planing on buying a 750i
board and im trying to narrow it down between the evga or asus 750i
i have heard tons of complants that the evga 750 sucks and they all are incompatible..then the asus 750i seems good so far but i havent owned one thing from asus before
well i have the evga version on it and i have allso had the asus. the asus one got way to hot so i sent it in and got the evga one insted. so far it works great. no problems yet.
the p5n-d is cheaper and has epu technology also i like asus motherboards but they are pretty much the same just compare them and see which one you like best its all personal preference but i have a that crossfire board i was telling you about but if i had sli i would probably buy the ftw edition
Can any1 confirm the asus p5n-d supports S3 standby? I cant get my system to return from standby mode. Running intel e8400, nvidia 8800gtx, geil PC6400C4 ram.. using win xp, tried sp2 and sp3, running latest 0601 bios, nforce drivers and nvidia drivers.
Cod4, crysis, UT3 support quad i am pretty sure. And you can easily clock the Q6600 up to 3.0ghz same as the e8400. Quad will give loads better performance in any task you give it.
The point you are trying to put across, is...? The best choice IS the Q6600 If you wanted you CAN even get that to close 4GHZ. Dual core for today is OK, but for tomorrow, it will be the thing of the past. GO QUAD CORE for future-proof.
I didn't realise you were so dim. I was just pointing out that if you can overclock the Q6600 to the 3G you can't really say it's a performance match when you can overclock the 8400 anyway. By however much you overclock the Q6600 to you can also do to the E8400. Therefore, the bottom of the range quad core (your precious Q6600) will still be slower. You're right about the quad core support but the E8400 outperforms the Q6600 (eg crysis). I suggest doing some research before looking stupid.
I'd like to also point out that no processor is future proof. if you bought the E8400 or the Q6600 today in 2 years you're going to want a new processor. And with regards to future proof - I don't think your Q6600 would last into the future if you tried overclocking it to 4G. You would severely damage the lifespan and I don't suggest anyone try it.
Hey man..nice video..i actually just bought an antec 900 case love how it looks..but one problem for me is that my cpu cooler needs to be screwed in and the motherboard has the holes but the antec 900 case doesnt..i was wondering if i needed to drill some or just get a cpu cooler that clips on the cpu..and also do you have any other tips on working with the antec 900..this is my second time ever building a computer..and looks like your a pro!!thanks again..
do you have a big backplate or something for your cpu cooler?, the backplate should be right behind the motherboard and not the case, so you dont drill anything into the antec 900
Getting a mobo with full 2.0 support isn't very important at this point. By the time games are taking full advantage of 2.0, you'll probably need to do a major upgrade anyway, so why spend the extra hundred bucks or whatever on something that won't help you?
the evga i put in my computer and i installed the bfg on my friends computer, the evga i must say is a lot quieter, the bfg has a high pitched sound the comes from it if you mae the fan speed higher than 50%. other than that, performance is about the same.
hehe i just got this mobo and cpu cooler myself.. core2duo and 8800GTS 512mb. Im quite impressed by it. thanks for sharing the vid i was looking to get an antec 900, looks good. What are your stock cpu temps? and case temp?
Hi i noticed yous aid you got 3 ghz out of that mobo do yout hink you could find the highest stable oc you can get, e.g 400x 9 as i would like to buy this mobo and want 3.6ghz out of it.

my pc posts but it doesnt beep, thats because the speaker isnt plugged in or it is not plugged in the right plug. (lotta plugs in there)
jayxtreme6 2 years ago
It may be a feature of the motherboard; some of them have it as a feature.

the beep speaker has to be in the case. idk why this or the CM storm sniper dont have it, i hope that the antec 1200 will have

When you are building a computer which operating system do you get? the original one or the OEM version? What is the difference?
amvGhost 3 years ago
what do you mean original one?
bigchris95 3 years ago
I ment to say what's the difference of the retail version and the OEM version? All I know is that OEM is cheaper and it comes from the manufacturer.
amvGhost 3 years ago
both come from the manufacturing, OEM, you dont get a fancy box, thats pretty much the difference from what i can see
