I used Animator9 to put the pics together. I free, albeit glitchy prgram. It gets the job done though.

Very nice 5/5! Great stop-motion! I admire your work! It must have taken allot of time! I've made a 10 second stop motion movie, took me a full day! and another day for the actual editting with adobe after effects etc/PrimPro.

Did you use those programs as well? Or Animator DV? or are you using Mac?

I used a program called Animator9 to put each flipbook frame together then added music and sound effects to it in Windows Movie Maker.

Have you put yours on YouTube? (I s'pose I could just go look for myself! :)

No, they were photos, but I'd originally had each photo printed out to form an actual flipbook so I felt they deserved inclusion!

Yeah I drew everything on paper then photographed each page (which took FOREVER!!)and put the digital JPEG photos into the animator9 program. I just think it looks better than just flipping the pages in front of a camera but sometimes doesn't feel worth it due to the time it takes :)

Generally I don't go any lower than 20ish FPS.

For most of them I used little notepads I bought at the local market. Any paper would be fine though, as long as you can see the previous drawing under it.

what you're asking for is not easily accomplished. a flipbook can be disassembled and photographed one slide at a time, but then it loses its flipbook charm. perhaps you should ask for a flash animation.

I tend to have a life when I can fit one in around work, flipbooks are just an enjoyable past time. All these flipbooks span at least 10 years or so so I don't even get much time for them either.

I don't really take requests as I would never have time to stick to it, what kind of request were you thinking though?

Tip- "Try stick figures to begin with. Get a pad of paper (a couple of centimetres think for a longer animation) & make sure the edge where you flip is nice & even so it's easy to flip. Draw on the last page, then put the next page down on top so you can see the previous drawing and draw on top but change something slightly for the movement. Keep adding until complete!"

Not sure, I've got them all over the place, but from where I'm sitting I can see 23 of them. There's more in my other vid - Flip Book Medley. The local market used to sell the books as mini note pads which were perfect for flip books!

The time it takes depends on how detailed the drawings are. If you're starting out, try stick figures to begin with.
