If you manage to get a hold of the original HL2 leak from 2003 or so you can actually play the level shown in the picture of this video. There's not a great to it but it's interesting to see what Valve original envisioned for HL2.
This music actually kind of does describe City17, the slightly creepy tone shows mystery in city17, the long echoes and tones show that the Citizens there need help, and the climax at 0:55 shows that it's not normal and needs help, only a miracle could save it. :D
@tommymartin2001 You can't put Half Life and just FPS games on the same bar. Half Life was designed to be purely single player and epic, but these other games are mostly only to kill other players. Though I don't know anything about S.T.A.L.K.E.R other than it looked awful in "Shadow of Chernobyl" version. @TheOjdidit You're misunderstood. CPs are "pure" humans who willingly volunteer. If they want "promotions", they become transhumans via surgery and are able to become Combine Soliders/Elites. Stalkers are something completely different, they are slaves made by the Combine out of both resistance members or who ever was in the wrong place at the wrong time, although some become Soldiers; either way, it's unwilling for them.

doom has a LARGE number of custom wads (new maps covering all 32 original map slots), and each wad has about 20+ custom musics, with the fast rate of wad production and complete new play experience for each wad....
doom is probably the only singleplayer game with true infinite replayability

You start off as a recruit and you slowly rank up. As an Departement Officer a.k.a. OfC you are auggmented by 2%, as a Ellite Protection Unit a.k.a. EpU you are aggumented about 50%, as a Division Leader, a.k.a. DvL you are auggmented 80% and as a Sectorial Commander a.k.a. SeC you are auggmented 99%. Overwatch soldiers are 100%.

@ferdinand12390 Well not really. That's one option. The other is that you join Civil Protection. You're still human but you're a "CP" officer and you get food, shelter and weapons.

@ferdinand12390 I am a HL2 Rper in Garry's Mod and i know how it goes. Basiclly if you haven't done any "anti-civil activity" you can apply to become an officer. You start off as a recruit and you slowly rank up. As an Departement Officer a.k.a. OfC you are auggmented by 2%, as a Ellite Protection Unit a.k.a. EpU you are aggumented about 50%, as a Division Leader, a.k.a. DvL you are auggmented 80% and as a Sectorial Commander a.k.a. SeC you are auggmented 99%. Overwatch soldiers are 100%.

@ferdinand12390 They transform them by giving them amour, suit and weapons such as MP7s, 9mms, Stunbatons, depending on the officers rank. When they are auggmented they lose a part of their organs, ( like for example liver) but they can still control themselfs, even though they are brainwashed aswell.

Somebody should make a remix of this song. I love the beggining but it sounds like a great intro for a fast paced song. This reaulted in me listening the to beggining over and over. Still, a great song from a great game.

@jdglavin if you wanted to take over the world as a combine you would be a beta combine guard which is almost invincible and its gun is extremely overpowered.

@gmodfan11 Its primary fire was the Strider's warp cannon, and its secondary fire was the shotgun. I have all the beta weapons on Gmod, so I know.
