Interesting! here on the board you see that Omid wins this match 10-9 but in Taekwondo Data web site, that's the other way around and Spain apparently went up to semi-final!
Ali-Nasr is -67 fighter, Omid's main rival in Iran. He's far more tactical. He took Hadi's place at the last world cup and came back with a silver (should've been gold). He's tactical unlike Omid. Are you sure Omid's going for the W.C? I thought it's Ali-Nasr.
Everyone learns eventually. Omid was on point on the day, he thought tactically (first time for everything). He should've won Gold, for the first time I going to blame Zolghadr (coach) for the player's loss. If he told Omid to actually let loose abit, Omid would've beaten the Cuban. He was far too passive in his fight, he should've balanced.
im pretty sure the iranian couch did the right think.. you cant blame him. dont underestimate the cuban guy he was good too and I think korea should have won in the semi vs omid.
The Iranian coach was to blame, I didn't hearing anything constructive from his corner. As a coach he should've noticed that Omid needed to up the ante. The Cuban guy was very good, but I've seen Omid's fights and his very fast. As for the SF, Omid's kick shouldn't have scored in Sudden death, the Korean lost to bad judging. I imagine the korean must have been really pissed off, had he gone to the final he would've beaten the Cuban. All in all, Iran was poor in the W.C - especially Hadi.
I was really suprissed with Hadi.. he really did struggle vs afghanistan chinese taipei won easily. I am also very suprised about irans team cus 2005 they did very well.
The way Hadi fought reminded me of a fix; it was as if he was told to fight crap for 3 rounds. Taipei beat the guy with easy Hadi clinched too much, had no tactics- saying he did win the fight but the judges didn't score...
yeah I agree he should have won but in the last 3 sec he got 1 warning and the fight goes on to sudden death and he lost the fight.. maybe hes getting too old for this.
mashalaaaaaaaaa keep it up iran

Omid's been (finally) replaced with Ali-Nasr, we should start seeing great things from him.
Omid lost (main reason) because he fights as if the sole aim of the competition is to see who throws the greatest number of kicks....

haha,i love omid,but your right.
