it's a brought on behaviour by the owner. we used to play with our dogs in this way too a bit, and make them snap with their mouths and they never bit us. any dog can be taught aggression within limits, its not harmful, it just has to be done with an appropriate sense of how much is enough. I would always stop after she would get too riled up and let her cool down a bit..

There's nothing threatening about this dog's behaviour. His owner's encouraging it, riling him up, the dog realises he gets a positive reaction out of his human for doing it, so he keeps doing it. It's not meant to be anything aggressive. If the dog was to actually be intending to bite the guy, he would have done it by now, and he wouldn't have stood there and put up with it. He thinks it's a game.

i dont think that dog is as pissed as it seems, they put their ears right back when they're really mad. the tail wagging is mostly done with humans, dogs as pets are permanently confused as to their status in 'the pack' hense they wag the tail. when they know what is happening the tail stops.

The tail is only a flag that signals a variety of emotions. The wagging tail is not necessarily a sign that all is well and that your dog is happy.

i took this video - apparently ever since he was a pup, he just started doing it everytime u stroke him near his face, never hurt anyone, its hard to tell sometimes whether or not he likes it, dont go near him when he's eating though! bad idea

It's because you continue to stroke him with such confidence even after he's growling. If you got scared at any moment he would take advantage of that and probably try to bite. He's actually doing a very insecure growl if you notice. Beautiful dog by the way.
