Hey ppl...U might not agree with the Mormons..U might even hate them. The bottom line is, "IAMANEXMORMON" promotes Atheistism!!! Not all, but most!!! Ask them! That's why there's such contention on this channel!!!
@GodFree27 "Hey, if u can spell anti-mormon like this: iamanexmormon...then I can spell atheism like this: Atheistism!!!" So, stop acting so atheistismish!!!
Interestingly enough, most people that leave the church(any church by the way) they do so confessing other peoples sins, they leave an accuser of the brethren, this reminds me of the pre-existence when the devil was an accuser of those who tried to follow Christ. Revelation:12: 10.
And the Devil drew one third of the spirits in the pre existence, those spirits were also children of Heavenly Father and was cause of much sorrow in heaven, that battle continues on earth and it looks like the devil continues to use the same tactics here, he uses rationalization and sophisticated language to confound anyone who leaves the companionship of the holy spirit. Even Prophets experienced this evil power but they cried in their hearts to be delivered and God did deliver them.
@vivavida01 Yes I was very grateful that this particular actor didn't have to be given a script. I just told him to tell his story and he just kept on talking! And the funny thing was that he never broke character- not even when I talk to him today! I thought it was odd, but then again I have a theory that seems to be building evidence: maybe he isn't an actor.
@vivavida01 "I was just wondering if u really were a mormon...lol, so if u were not then u are not a real ex-mormon"
I think that is the one of the most blatantly obvious things I've ever read... Have you ever been a ____? If not, then you are not a real ex _____....
@vivavida01 This is Nick, and I can absolutely assure you that you will not find a worse actor than me anywhere. Fortunately making this video didn't require me to do any acting, I just talked about my experience.
Wow, from some of the comments, Mormons really become unglued when people make their own free choices. This was a very respectful video--with no hate--and yet this man is accused of hate.
It shows that when you leave the LDS, they want you to shut up and be silent about your experience.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Hey Nick Godfrey and all the other Atheist/ Religions who teach to hate!!! (I shouldnt say religions..cus most religions dont teach to hate) - Leave the Mormons alone..stop hating! Ppl are dying over religions hating each other...teach a positive message like feed the hungry, clothe the poor, or something...not Im an Ex Mormon..Im gonna say what good Mormons wont, "GO FUCK URSELF!!" I hate haters!!!
@highermathematix Would you mind quoting from the videos a sentence that you feel represents all this "hate" you are talking about. So far, no one seems to be willing to do this.
@iamanexmormon When ppl leave comments like "more like Josephs Myth...what do u think ur vids promote..dont give me ur BullShit! I was an ExMormon too! Thats why I went on the search to find the truth. I joined other churches and no one can prove shit. If some of the mormon prophets said stuff that was racist or taught somethn stupid..its cus there imperfect humans...look at Judas. You didnt answer my question...what church was not started by man??? And which should I join?
@highermathematix no, good fundamental mormonism teaches that good mormons can kill anyone who doesn't join with their cult (read all about the murderous days of joseph smith and brigham young in a book called "one nation under gods")
that puts fundamental mormonism in the same position as fundamental islam, that its ok, and in fact its their false gods perfect will, that they kill infidels (whoever doesn't agree with them||||||)
@rltroup33 I dont agree will killing neither but what ur saying is, you wont defend this country if the shizzy hits the fan??? R u telling me that when Hitler was trying to take over the world that all the ppl that fought against him are going to Hell?
@highermathematix well if you read your original comment it comes across as impetuous and discursive rambling, i dont see how this is related to the actual video, could you shed some light and help me to decipher your bombastic language? especially the last part: "GO FUCK URSELF!!" i hate haters!!!.....is what you said. How do you expect people to take you seriously if you talk like that?
@highermathematix Hey, cheer up! I don't feel, that there is any hate involved here. To me, this guy is telling his own personal story of why he left his church. He didn't even say, that being a mormon is wrong or something, it's just obviously not his way... Nothing wrong about that either. ;-)
Hey Nick Godfrey...So, does God live? If so, which Church is true? Tell me which church was not made by man? I can rip any of them apart..and I have..Do u belong to any? Prove to me God is real! U cant..cus u dont have Faith!! Ive attended dif religions im my life in search of truth..including the Mormons...(most recent was the Black Baptist)...the one thing in common they all had is A-holes and Good ppl. Stop being an A-hole..Whats ur message here? To hate the Mormons?
@highermathematix This is Nick. My intention with the video was simply to share my experience and my perspective. What did I say in the video that you think makes me an asshole? Please be specific. Quote me. Also, I believe no gods exist.
@GodFree27 Hey Nick - Ride on...Thx for letting me know where u stand. I jus hate when other religions hate. I left the church for a short period in search for truth. The thought crossed my mind that there was no God as well. The more I explored Math n Science...the more it pointed back to, "there is a God"...the universe is just too complicated and perfect at the same time.
@fate241 No being a mormon in the first place is so bizarre....Mormonism is just as much a cult as is Scientology...Joseph Smith was a con man and a fraud
@floresebu i dont know about that...i mean the church became so successful and wealthy within 200 yrs.,.frauds don't make that big impact unless its for the 'good' -- i think its like every other religion out there who have good intentions but maybe not the best philosophy on how to live your life...
Considering the fact that (if we do not kill ourselves off first) by the year 2500 it is estimated that over 90% of people on Earth will be atheist, if not more, I do not feel the need to try to argue with people about religion since they will probably find out about that themselves.
Speaking in the name of our Lord Joseph Smith declared, “Verily, thus saith the Lord: it Is wisdom in my servant David W. Patten, that he settle up all his business as soon as he possibly can, and make a disposition of his merchandise, that he may perform a mission unto me next spring, in company with others, even twelve including himself, to testify of my name and bear glad tiding unto the world.”
@TheAngstyWriter NO. read my post bub. The anti mormons ads(exmormon ads) are just really pro gay ads. You can be pro whatever but just be honest. These guys left the mormon church because the mormon church is now pro family and pro marriage between man and wife
and as for the Mormon stating that someone will be in outer darkness..It is not our place to judge. We do not say where people go.
I was always taught to love everyone around me,to be Christ like. SO this mans decision is his. And our decisions are ours. If being Mormon is what makes us happy let us be happy! and if not being Mormon seems to be working for them, let them do as they wish. We can't change people. We can only love. I am Rose and I am proud to be Mormon, and Happy <3
People, there's no need to fight with each other. You can throw however much evidence you want at someone who truly believes the gospel and Mormon doctrine and it won't change anything. Religion is based on the unverifiable, and thus people will always be able to rationalize problems (historical or otherwise) without evidence. The argument is fruitless.
@Ender605 it is not the purpose of Atheist to convince diehard religious fanatics that religion is fake. It is, however, our purpose to inform those that are questioning their belief what could be the real explanation of their doubt and it is also for the would-be believers, the children raised in religious environment.
@KuhoinX Please speak for yourself, not for atheists as a whole, I am Atheist and you don't speak for me, this is not my "purpose". I don't really care if those fools who believe in made up religions free their mind or not, My "purpose" as far as this goes is to live my life free from believe in religious nonsense. My other purposes have to do with being a good human, good mother etc. For Pete's sake! you make it sound like we as a whole have some proselytizing agenda to spread our Explanation.
I am not suprised that mormons dislike this. They Dislike alot of things/ people. IE: mountain Meadows Massacre where Intending to leave no witnesses of complicity by Mormons (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or LDS Church) in the attacks, and to prevent reprisals that would further complicate the Utah War, the perpetrators killed all the adults and older children (totaling about 120 men, women, and children). Seventeen children, all younger than seven, were spared.
@godfree27 who are you to say I don't understand the bible. You are an ex mormon. The book of mormon and the practices of mormonism is blasphemy. I completly get why you would walk away from that. You obviously don't know God. Maybe you should try to get to know him.
@godfree27 ...I'm not sure what kind of bad experiece with the church has left such a bad taste in ur mouth. Maybe its some kind of moral confliction. But trying to disprove God because His standards are to hard to live up to isn't the right thing to do. Like agruing about the speed limit because you like to speed or disagreeing with a school curiculum because the work is hard. I challange u to check ur motives on y ur taking such a strong stance against God.
@godfree27 God isn't what ur religious leaders say.Theyr not the only 1s allowed2 read holy scripture. Its 1s responsibilty to read scripture for yourself and 2 come2 an understanding ofwho God is .how can u say societies will flurish without the idea of God. From the beggining of time ppl have believed in a God.u can't take that back and say it would have been better if they hadn't believed.
@godfree27 what the hijackers did wasent based on anything to do with God. It had nothing to do with the muslim faith. Just like what happened in jonestown had nothing to do with Christianity. The islamic faith and the Christian faith do not promote violence. If violence is practiced under the umbrella of either one of these religions it is not Gods will. Its mans.
@cmkcis But god killed thousands of people in the bible. He commanded the Israelites to kill all the Amalekite men, women, and children. If you don't think the bible condones violence then you simply don't understand the bible.
@godfree27 there is a difference between believeing in a God and living God like. It is obvious that every single person in jail is not living God like. Otherwise they wouldn't be in jail. Your statements have no standing at all. What r u trying to accomplish anyway. Disproving the He exsists or are you on a mission to boycott Him. Im not sure.
@cmkcis To the 9/11 hijackers, "living God" meant murdering thousands of innocent people. "Living God" is usually whatever your religious leaders tell you it is, which is sometimes horrendous. The statistics about the standard of living and crimes rates say nothing about the existence of god, they simply suggest that not only can one live a good life without god, societies flourish when superstitions are left behind.
@GodFree27 God told the Israelites to defend themselves...Give me a break! Don't twist the scriptures to fit ur agenda! The Amalekites were like the Nazi's of our day. U wouldn't live Free in this country today if God wasn't with us! God doesn't say to fight or kill for no reason...Man will though! The root of it all is usually money, greed, pride, etc. - which is of the Devil!
@highermathematix Twist the scriptures? Did god, or did not god command that the women and children Amalekites be killed? Did we kill innocent children in WWII because their parents might have been Nazi sympathizers? No. Such an action would have been morally repugnant. Why is the command to kill Amalekite children any less so?
@GodFree27 What r u talking about "Lame Arse"...There was a place called Hiroshima and Nagasaki...mmmmm..same War...I think??? Let me do some research and double check!!! You're Twisted!!
@highermathematix You're assuming I will agree that the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were morally justified? They weren't. They were some of the most egregious crimes the United States has ever committed. They could have demonstrated the technology against a military target rather than a civilian one. The murder of innocent men, women and children is never justifiable.
Why not "I'm an ex-Catholic" or "I'm an ex-Jew". If you were the adversary and wanted to stir up the hearts of God's children to fight against Him, where would you focus? You would focus on the fullness of the gospel. Did you ever ask yourself, why such a big deal over something that you believe is not true. If it really was nothing....then it would be treated as so. Ask yourself this, how do you feel inside when you post against LDS, is it goodness..or? the feeling is telling
@GodFree27 the population of sweeden and norway is also a lot smaller then most countries just by numbers alone it is obvious these contries would have a lower crime rate then others. That's a silly comparrison anyway. Under that same use of logic you could say that white people are less violent then others which is simply not true. Lastly I would argue that the violence perpatraded in the us and the middle east isn't due to the countries large following of God. Rather the lack there of.
@cmkcis Norway, Denmark, and Sweden have a lower PER CAPITA crime rate than the rest of the world. Atheists make up 10% of the general population of the United States but less than one quarter of one percent of the prison population. If you want less crime, you want less god.
@GodFree27 Total backward thinking...If everyone obeyed the commandments..there would be no killing, no lying, no cheating, no money(everyone would share everything.."law of conscrecration"), no hate...God teaches love and to love one another. Man is disobedient and they're choosing to do the opposite...they're choosing to have no religion...I gotta ask r u Gay? I'm just asking...my best friend was gay(he passed away) I can see where having no religion would free someones mind...
Wow, this guy's brave for owning up to his parents. I grew up in a predominantly Mormon neighborhood, and none of my friends who lost the faith would have had the courage to tell their parents so directly.
A person uses objective evidence to verify another person's validity. Regarding subjectivity, it's nonsensical to dismiss it because subjectivity is an inherent aspect of experience, everyone has subjective experience, even during objective examination! 2:15 "It was almost like a revelation." This proves. Objective evidence supports severe skepticism of the LDS Church's doctrine. However, don't fall into the trap of any mundane religion, including atheism.
@LP640Murcielago Don't succumb to atheism. It's just another mundane religion. It relies on faith in the senses and therefore completely rejects subjective, individual experience. The media and TV push atheism on those unfortunate souls who watch it. There's many traps in this world. Some more lethal than others. Be careful out there. Use a dictionary. Get a real education. Start thinking. Find real knowledge.
@parkerjwill hahaha rito. Im only 16 and im currently in a private, Presbyterian school. I think im doing well as far as education goes. to be honest im not an atheist, a few years back I was a strong Christian. but now i've got my doubts about a certain 'God'. While I do feel there must be something bigger than us, I can no longer linger on Christianity as my religion. Im just living my life like a normal teenager now, but im sure I will find my questions in life answered as life goes on thanks
@parkerjwill Rationalism doesn't require one to dismiss subjective experience entirely, just put it in it's proper place concerning it validity as evidence. So Mormon god told you that Mormon church is true? That's great. Muslim god told this guy that Islam is true, and Scientology god told this guy that Scientology is true. I don't care. If we're going to discuss what ideas reflect reality, we need speak about evidence that can be critiqued, examined, and falsified, that is, objective evidence.
@GodFree27 I'm not a Mormon, but I do believe in God and consider myself religious. There is one God, many different languages that attempt to describe Him. To have an objective conversation, using logic, one needs to set aside his negative emotional charges and listen. Most disqualify themselves before they even step up to the plate. Understanding God or Reality isn't easy. One needs to willingly sacrifice many things he considers valuable, but which are insubstantial in comparison.
@GodFree27 God is a proper noun, and therefore should be capitalized. Grab a dictionary. Look up the word "supreme" which is an integral concept constituting "God".
@GodFree27 You didn't listen to my response. Do your homework. This is like triage, time cannot be wasted on those who require inordinate amounts of attention. God helps those who help themselves.
@parkerjwill Is that you're way of saying you don't wish to argue the point? It would seem you have very little confidence in your own opinion. When an opinion is as baseless as god one can't blame you.
If you are interested in responding, please tell me, what makes you believe that your version of monotheism is correct, and all forms of polytheism are false?
@GodFree27 I've tried to explain this already, but you're having a hard time hearing. BY DEFINITION, "God" is one; there cannot be two supreme beings. Get it?? Polytheism accepts multiple "gods" or more precisely "demigods". If you want to talk about God, then understand the meaning of the word. What qualifications do you have for debating the existence of God? Who educated you? The History Channel? Or, Scientific American? Perhaps reading some existential philosophy? Who are you to deny God?
@parkerjwill Ah, classic. If something doesn't fit you're narrowly defined "God" then it can't be called a "god". Never mind than polytheism predates monotheism by thousands of years, no, god had to wait all these millennia until people of your tradition came along and got it right. God is so lucky to have you!

@coryjor This is Nick. I lost faith in god at the same time I lost faith in Mormonism and Christianity. There wasn't enough time to include my journey from god in the video, but it is included in the description box.
@GodFree27 Hi, Thanks for taking time to respond. Also, thanks for putting your video up. I personally am an active member of the Church, but I have a number of friends who have left and can relate to them. In all, I think the topic sometimes becomes too divisive, and yes, definitely not all who leave do so because of unworthiness, and not all who leave are miserable afterwards. My friends who have left the Church have expressed a feeling of relief.
@coryjor It really is nice to hear from a reasonable member of the church amid the sea of insults to my intellect, integrity, morality, and honesty. Thank you.
@coryjor For some people who are not able to enjoy the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is a relief to them to be out of it.
In this respect, they are in harmony with God's designs -- namely that if they are not able tolerate the Gospel of God, they should not be part of the Kingdom of God.
you really dont have to think about it pj's under your cloths books in hats remembering books out of thin air that you dough up in the ground hes not the anti-christ im going to go play anti-call of duty and drink anti-pesi because its bad and im the devil!!!!!! raaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwrrrrrr
@cmkcis Why is that? Do you think this would have a negative effect on society? Why not look at the most atheistic countries in the world- countries like Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Not do these countries have the least belief in god, they also have some of the highest standards of living and the lowest crime rates in the world.
listening to the guy, seems like he doesn't know much about the church, really. I mean nothing is perfect, but using those old arguments like that Nick dude is doing, I mean come on, it's just lame.
@iwbtssothy it is in fact his "testimony" .. appropriate for an exmormon... He explains his misgivings.. and most probably his sentiments strike a cord with other LDS members who are borderline believers that need to hear about another's experience and feelings... good for Nick, nothing lame about it.
@ImLDSRU2 To say that I'm not that bright is putting it a bit mildly. I never claimed to be smart, I'm just trying to express my experience and my thoughts.
@ImLDSRU2 Suspect? I figured stating that I am dozens of times in the comments including right below this comment would be enough to confirm that. Pot calling the kettle black much? And my poor intellect certainly does affect my conclusions, but I feel I have better reason for confidence in my beliefs backed by self-correcting systems of thought such as reason, logic and the scientific method, rather than tradition, authoritarianism, anti-intellectualism and fairy tales, as the religious are.
@GodFree27 I am not reading all of the comments here.
Nope. No pot calling a kettle something. While you admit to not being bright, I confess to being cursed by brightness. As I said, this has nothing to do with one's value as a person but it means that your thinking processes that led you to your anti-Christ perspective is flawed.
@ImLDSRU2 Well I'm always open to changing my mind. What flaws do you see with what I say in the video or what I wrote in the link in the description box?
@ImLDSRU2 Right, but, see, I don't believe in the Holy Ghost. It's like saying you deny Allah, or Vishnu, or Thor. So what? They're made up. It's ok to deny them because they're not real entities. I was hoping to hear you point out some flawed logic of mine or factual inaccuracies or something like that. I highly doubt you'll be able to provide compelling proof of your Righteous Poltergeist.
@GodFree27 Right. But not only do you not believe in the Holy Ghost, you reject it overtly. You even make it clear that you would reject it, even if the Holy Ghost testified to you.
This is the reason why I hope you are mentally defective, otherwise this is a great evil you have done to yourself.
@ImLDSRU2 See, I'm sure I don't have to explain this to you because you're so fantastically bright, but logic is a formal system with strictly defined rules. If I made a logical error it should be easy for you to point it out. I don't believe that what Mormons call a "witness from the Holy Ghost" is good evidence of the truth of the church because it could to easily be created by the mind of the person experiencing it.
@ImLDSRU2 I bow to your superior intellect and debating skills. I would think that being LDS would be compelled to share the gospel with others and try to convince them of the truth of the church. But if you ever feel like explaining your reasons for believing, I'm here.
@GodFree27 Bowing to intellect is a useless exercise. And bowing to debating skills that have not been presented in evidence is, in itself, evidence of how poor your critical analysis skills are.
I do not feel compelled to share the Gospel with an anti-Christ who knows it and rejects it. I see no point in that.
But I do hope that there is some excuse for you, like addled thinking (which seems possible), because I prefer to not believe you are evil.
@ImLDSRU2 Seriously man? I'm evil because I disagree with you? I didn't choose to stop believing. I considered the evidence and decided that my reasons for believing in the church weren't good enough. I could no more start believing in the LDS church than I could choose to start believing in Santa Clause. It's literally unbelievable. And because I find myself in that position and want to share my thoughts with others I'm evil? You could not be more typically Mormon.
@ImLDSRU2 You said I was either mentally deranged or evil. Are insults the best you can do. Can you give a single reason to believe in the church or provide one counter argument to mine? Are your reasons for believing so weak that you're unwilling to even state them?
@ImLDSRU2 And you're loading your argument gun with blanks. Don't act all high and mighty, then not once give a decent critical output that would give validity to what you are saying. If you are devout in your Faith you should be able to remain stoic in any argument because you should be well versed. You have not shown one ounce of why anyone should take you as a credible advocate for anything. You reply to people with cynicism and insults. Kind of a disgrace to your own religion.
@ItzThatBrad What argument have I made? I don't believe in making arguments on youtube, So, if by accident I made one, consider the fact that it had blanks to be intentional.
You, however, do not seem to understand the meanings of words. I have been stoic. Being stoic has nothing to do with being well versed in something. It is a mental condition and response to stimulus.
It is no disgrace to greet cynics with cynicism about their cynicism. Its heroic. Duh.
"Stoic(adj)Definition:unaffected, indifferent;restrained." Here the word 'stoic' is used to describe that if, in fact, you knew better and had something to come back with toward an argument or remark you'd handle the criticism differently and without having to resort to "I'm right, your wrong. But I'm not going to tell you why."
@ImLDSRU2 And yes it is a disgrace when your religion, among countless others, teaches compassion, fellowship and acceptance and yet trounce on all those and hold yourself on a higher seat of religious piousness that you are even blind to those teachings of honoring your faith and sharing it with people regardless of what they might think. Because lets face it...if every Mormon responded the way you do to any kind of criticism, there'd be no tolerance for it and your faith would lose numbers.
@ImLDSRU2 You know, actually. I've noticed a lot of Mormon's portray themselves as you do. I think that's why the religion is being met with such negative outlooks. Because frankly, I haven't met one Mormon that isn't an asshole. And Mitt Romney takes the cake on that one. So when you bounce onto these social sites and claim anonymity while spouting childish remarks and rude retaliation, you are representing your religion and faith as such. So good going.
And to add. I should mention that if I do indeed meet a decent Mormon with the attitude that's socially acceptable toward their faith, I'll greet them warmly and talk to them about the differences in our views. Neither one of us objecting or criticizing each other, simply conversing...as HUMANS do.
@ItzThatBrad I don't believe you will ever treat Mormons well. I believe you are lying. You certainly have not treated me well... and the ONLY reason you don't is because I don't fight with you. A silly reason.
@hanohanonacowboy You know.. what is real trollish behavior is to go on a board, having never participated before, and make a comment that is not about the video, but whose only purpose is to attack one of the other posters, egregiously and without cause. THATS the definition of Troll.
@ImLDSRU2: "what is real trollish behavior is to... make a comment that is not about the video, but whose only purpose is to attack one of the other posters"
-- You mean like calling them liars and anti-Christs?
@ImLDSRU2 You won't debate with an atheist (,or "anti-christ" if you prefer to call it that,) because you realize that if someone doesn't give in to the self delusion and credulity of magical thinking required of a religious believer then they are standing on solid, rationally based, consistent ground that is nearly impossible to move from once it's been found. Whether consciously or subconciously, no matter how much you want to believe in it, you know your side can't hold up to reason.
@GodFree27 I don't debate with anyone. Atheist. Theist. who ever... on youtube. I see no point in it. And no, being atheist is not the same as being anti-Christ. You do not need to be atheist to be anti-Christ and you can be atheist without being anti-Christ.
I have no magical thinking. You are imagining things. Which is possibly part of your condition that led you out of the Faith.
The idea that it cannot hold up to reason -- is irrational. But that's how you are.
Reading these comments, I'm amazed at the arrogance. Mormons never give a good reason to believe, but instead rely on cultish, indoctrinated thinking to represent themselves.
There is tons of evidence against the church, but none for. Ex: Hathor, facsimile 3.
Is mormon the religion allowed in the USA for minor females to be exploited by older men?

Interestingly enough, most people that leave the church(any church by the way) they do so confessing other peoples sins, they leave an accuser of the brethren, this reminds me of the pre-existence when the devil was an accuser of those who tried to follow Christ. Revelation:12: 10.

Its mans.
cmkcis 1 month ago
@cmkcis But god killed thousands of people in the bible. He commanded the Israelites to kill all the Amalekite men, women, and children. If you don't think the bible condones violence then you simply don't understand the bible.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@godfree27 there is a difference between believeing in a God and living God like. It is obvious that every single person in jail is not living God like. Otherwise they wouldn't be in jail. Your statements have no standing at all. What r u trying to accomplish anyway. Disproving the He exsists or are you on a mission to boycott Him. Im not sure.
cmkcis 1 month ago
@cmkcis To the 9/11 hijackers, "living God" meant murdering thousands of innocent people. "Living God" is usually whatever your religious leaders tell you it is, which is sometimes horrendous. The statistics about the standard of living and crimes rates say nothing about the existence of god, they simply suggest that not only can one live a good life without god, societies flourish when superstitions are left behind.

@highermathematix Twist the scriptures? Did god, or did not god command that the women and children Amalekites be killed?

Rather the lack there of.
cmkcis 1 month ago
@cmkcis Norway, Denmark, and Sweden have a lower PER CAPITA crime rate than the rest of the world. Atheists make up 10% of the general population of the United States but less than one quarter of one percent of the prison population. If you want less crime, you want less god.

However, don't fall into the trap of any mundane religion, including atheism.
parkerjwill 1 month ago
@parkerjwill stop acting so smart.... its confusing...
LP640Murcielago 1 month ago
@LP640Murcielago Don't succumb to atheism. It's just another mundane religion. It relies on faith in the senses and therefore completely rejects subjective, individual experience. The media and TV push atheism on those unfortunate souls who watch it. There's many traps in this world. Some more lethal than others. Be careful out there. Use a dictionary. Get a real education. Start thinking. Find real knowledge.

Im just living my life like a normal teenager now, but im sure I will find my questions in life answered as life goes on thanks
LP640Murcielago 1 month ago
@parkerjwill Makes sense...much better said!
highermathematix 2 weeks ago
@parkerjwill Rationalism doesn't require one to dismiss subjective experience entirely, just put it in it's proper place concerning it validity as evidence. So Mormon god told you that Mormon church is true? That's great. Muslim god told this guy that Islam is true, and Scientology god told this guy that Scientology is true. I don't care. If we're going to discuss what ideas reflect reality, we need speak about evidence that can be critiqued, examined, and falsified, that is, objective evidence.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 I'm not a Mormon, but I do believe in God and consider myself religious. There is one God, many different languages that attempt to describe Him. To have an objective conversation, using logic, one needs to set aside his negative emotional charges and listen. Most disqualify themselves before they even step up to the plate. Understanding God or Reality isn't easy. One needs to willingly sacrifice many things he considers valuable, but which are insubstantial in comparison.
parkerjwill 1 month ago
@parkerjwill How do you know there's one god? Why not 7, or 12, or thousands, or millions?

@parkerjwill Is that you're way of saying you don't wish to argue the point? It would seem you have very little confidence in your own opinion. When an opinion is as baseless as god one can't blame you.
If you are interested in responding, please tell me, what makes you believe that your version of monotheism is correct, and all forms of polytheism are false?
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 I've tried to explain this already, but you're having a hard time hearing. BY DEFINITION, "God" is one; there cannot be two supreme beings. Get it?? Polytheism accepts multiple "gods" or more precisely "demigods". If you want to talk about God, then understand the meaning of the word. What qualifications do you have for debating the existence of God? Who educated you? The History Channel? Or, Scientific American? Perhaps reading some existential philosophy? Who are you to deny God?
parkerjwill 1 month ago
@parkerjwill Ah, classic. If something doesn't fit you're narrowly defined "God" then it can't be called a "god". Never mind than polytheism predates monotheism by thousands of years, no, god had to wait all these millennia until people of your tradition came along and got it right. God is so lucky to have you!

@GodFree27 Hi, Thanks for taking time to respond. Also, thanks for putting your video up. I personally am an active member of the Church, but I have a number of friends who have left and can relate to them. My friends who have left the Church have expressed a feeling of relief.

@coryjor For some people who are not able to enjoy the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is a relief to them to be out of it.
In this respect, they are in harmony with God's designs -- namely that if they are not able tolerate the Gospel of God, they should not be part of the Kingdom of God.

ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 To say that I'm not that bright is putting it a bit mildly. I never claimed to be smart, I'm just trying to express my experience and my thoughts.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 I suspect you are the person in this video.
I do not consider "brightness" to have anything to do with a person's value as a human being.
But I do think it makes a difference about your conclusions.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 Suspect? I figured stating that I am dozens of times in the comments including right below this comment would be enough to confirm that. Pot calling the kettle black much? And my poor intellect certainly does affect my conclusions, but I feel I have better reason for confidence in my beliefs backed by self-correcting systems of thought such as reason, logic and the scientific method, rather than tradition, authoritarianism, anti-intellectualism and fairy tales, as the religious are.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 I am not reading all of the comments here.
Nope. No pot calling a kettle something. While you admit to not being bright, I confess to being cursed by brightness. As I said, this has nothing to do with one's value as a person but it means that your thinking processes that led you to your anti-Christ perspective is flawed.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 Well I'm always open to changing my mind. What flaws do you see with what I say in the video or what I wrote in the link in the description box?
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 Well, you deny the Holy Ghost for one thing.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 Right, but, see, I don't believe in the Holy Ghost. It's like saying you deny Allah, or Vishnu, or Thor. So what? They're made up. It's ok to deny them because they're not real entities. I was hoping to hear you point out some flawed logic of mine or factual inaccuracies or something like that. I highly doubt you'll be able to provide compelling proof of your Righteous Poltergeist.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 Right. But not only do you not believe in the Holy Ghost, you reject it overtly. You even make it clear that you would reject it, even if the Holy Ghost testified to you.
This is the reason why I hope you are mentally defective, otherwise this is a great evil you have done to yourself.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@GodFree27 Rejecting the Holy Ghost is flawed logic. I just don't bother explaining why.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 See, I'm sure I don't have to explain this to you because you're so fantastically bright, but logic is a formal system with strictly defined rules. If I made a logical error it should be easy for you to point it out. I don't believe that what Mormons call a "witness from the Holy Ghost" is good evidence of the truth of the church because it could to easily be created by the mind of the person experiencing it.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 You do not need to explain such things to me, especially things that you do not really understand.
Of course you made a logical error.
But I am not interested in convincing you of something. I don't even believe in it. You have chosen the path of anti-Christ and so be it.
But hopefully its related to you not being that bright.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 I bow to your superior intellect and debating skills. I would think that being LDS would be compelled to share the gospel with others and try to convince them of the truth of the church. But if you ever feel like explaining your reasons for believing, I'm here.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 Bowing to intellect is a useless exercise. And bowing to debating skills that have not been presented in evidence is, in itself, evidence of how poor your critical analysis skills are.
I do not feel compelled to share the Gospel with an anti-Christ who knows it and rejects it. I see no point in that.
But I do hope that there is some excuse for you, like addled thinking (which seems possible), because I prefer to not believe you are evil.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 smart reply.
i am envious.
MajikMengo 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 Seriously man? I'm evil because I disagree with you? I didn't choose to stop believing. I considered the evidence and decided that my reasons for believing in the church weren't good enough. I could no more start believing in the LDS church than I could choose to start believing in Santa Clause. It's literally unbelievable. And because I find myself in that position and want to share my thoughts with others I'm evil? You could not be more typically Mormon.
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 No, I did not say you were evil -- I said I am hoping you are not evil. And it has nothing to do with disagreeing with me.
This is, I think, an example of your very poor cognitive skills. You draw a conclusion exactly opposite from what was actually said.

@ImLDSRU2 You said I was either mentally deranged or evil. Are insults the best you can do. Can you give a single reason to believe in the church or provide one counter argument to mine? Are your reasons for believing so weak that you're unwilling to even state them?
GodFree27 1 month ago
@GodFree27 No, that is not what I said. Once again, you show your poor cognitive skills... confirming my opinion.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@GodFree27 I can give you many many reasons to believe the Church. I can counter every argument you have. My reasons are not weak.
But notice this and try to understand it: I am not interested in debating with an anti-Christ. I see no point in it.

@Juan25toni You are being silly.

ItzThatBrad 1 month ago
@ItzThatBrad What argument have I made? I don't believe in making arguments on youtube, So, if by accident I made one, consider the fact that it had blanks to be intentional.
You, however, do not seem to understand the meanings of words. I have been stoic. Being stoic has nothing to do with being well versed in something. It is a mental condition and response to stimulus.
It is no disgrace to greet cynics with cynicism about their cynicism. Its heroic. Duh.

@ImLDSRU2

ItzThatBrad 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 You know, actually. I've noticed a lot of Mormon's portray themselves as you do. I think that's why the religion is being met with such negative outlooks. Because frankly, I haven't met one Mormon that isn't an asshole. And Mitt Romney takes the cake on that one. So when you bounce onto these social sites and claim anonymity while spouting childish remarks and rude retaliation, you are representing your religion and faith as such. So good going.
ItzThatBrad 1 month ago
And to add. I should mention that if I do indeed meet a decent Mormon with the attitude that's socially acceptable toward their faith, I'll greet them warmly and talk to them about the differences in our views. Neither one of us objecting or criticizing each other, simply conversing...as HUMANS do.
ItzThatBrad 1 month ago
@ItzThatBrad I don't believe you will ever treat Mormons well. I believe you are lying. You certainly have not treated me well... and the ONLY reason you don't is because I don't fight with you. A silly reason.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ItzThatBrad I don't really care that you don't like Mormons. I would not expect a dope smokin' anti-Christ to like Mormons.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@ItzThatBrad Your imaginary definition of Stoic does not count. Dictionaries define the meaning of words... not you.

"I don't believe in making arguments on youtube" <-- definition of "troll".

@hanohanonacowboy You are lying about me -- as usual.
There is nothing trollish about not making arguments on youtube.
ImLDSRU2 1 month ago
@hanohanonacowboy You know.. what is real trollish behavior is to go on a board, having never participated before, and make a comment that is not about the video, but whose only purpose is to attack one of the other posters, egregiously and without cause. THATS the definition of Troll.

hanohanonacowboy 1 month ago
@ImLDSRU2 You won't debate with an atheist (,or "anti-christ" if you prefer to call it that,) because you realize that if someone doesn't give in to the self delusion and credulity of magical thinking required of a religious believer then they are standing on solid, rationally based, consistent ground that is nearly impossible to move from once it's been found. Whether consciously or subconciously, no matter how much you want to believe in it, you know your side can't hold up to reason.
GodFree27 1 month ago
