@shtrnd41 actually, in 2009 i was training with FPGRM (HMS Clyde) and staying at Garelochhead with the USMC who had also come to train with the FPGRM. although i did not directly train with the USMC, we socialised lots over my 2 week training ex. and as i was training with the FPGRM i knew what they got up to and saw them around base training. hence the amount of respect i have for both parties and understanding of their strengths.

My recruiter said a buds spot will be open 2 years from my graduation from basic. Pre buds got me a spot in buds earlier thats all i have been saying i didnt say right after basic. After basic i do mct from there is recon scout sniper or marsoc. Either way i will be holding a high position in the corps or navy. Thought people would think thats an okay thing to do.

He put in a good word for me because i been an athlete my entire life and i am graduating 13th in my class so not to brag but i am a good pick for the job.

@Texashog74 Read what i said before after basic i am going to marsoc or recon based on my scores and where they need me. My recruiter said a buds spot will be open 2 years from my graduation from basic. Pre buds got me a spot in buds earlier thats all i have been saying i didnt say right after basic. After basic i do mct from there is recon scout sniper or marsoc. Either way i will be holding a high position in the corps or navy. Thought people would think thats an okay thing to do.

@TheSEAL94 again dude Recon or MARSOC is no diffrent from the seals in the sense that its still a selective unit.......it dosent matter what your test scores it...dosent matter how many puishups, how fast u can run, how far u can ruck....it matters if you make the CUT>...and guess what....your havent been to the CUT yet.....meaning you can be saying your a future seal, recon, and so forth

I am confident i can make otherwise they wouldn't offer me the spot they said its rare for a 17 year old out of basic to have the opportunity to go to recon school and it happened to me thanks to my brother. He put in a good word for me because i been an athlete my entire life and i am graduating 13th in my class so not to brag but i am a good pick for the job.

royal marines are tough and same as the us marines but the royal marines seem to have a tougher standard in training and education also a better history
in my personal opinion the royal marines seem a better regiment due to there history, training and that there actually part of the navy instead of its own branch and also doe not claim to be ''the best'' any body who tells me they are or who is the best is an idiot or trying to boast
