your flex cable is broken or the display is broken but try first a software update if it not works then replace the flex cable if that's not the problem then replace the lcd screen look on ebay for a flex cable and screen lool on youtube on hot to replace it's not that hard
1 tip is to never update ur mobile, no nokia update or maps, etc. You can update ur applications from the internet such as youtube, ebuddy, windows live etc. for this u will need to change the lcd, the nokia update changes the number on the phone, if the lcd number and the number on the update is not the same, this will happen.

that's a problem that often occurs with symbian phones....a i also had a n95 and it moved like crap....when i got to the nokia headquarters they said that it is a usual problem with nokia phones and everything is fine. Nokia make slow, crappy phones. I now have an iPhone 3g and it is waaaaaay better! :D
it also happened on my n95 and now it's fix. you need to change the lcd and the flex ribbon.

my 3-year-old N95 broke the same way, first the colors went crazy, and now it shows only black screen:(

you probably got some liquid on the screen behind or loose contacts. not a major problem. buy a new screen and follow the manual

that happend to mine then it got worse and worse now the screens just blank and sometimes goies on with just a fuzzy screen

I finally took mine for repair... looks like the LCD and ribbon cable were both faulty? - Cost me £60 to replace them both.

problem with my display.
i brought it yesterday to the shop for reperation, they told me that the connector between the display and the phone was damaged.
they gonna change it, so i will have my phone back probebly friday (they told me). i will let u know. (srry for my english)
