  • I do portrait dolls and it seems to me that much more difficult - Vzhivit in silicone each hair, to make eyes with veins and to paint a skin with color shades so that was realistic. You as think?

How it is a lot of photos you use for portrait similarity in work?

  • how long did it take to sculpt this?

  • @dan31366 All together, without considering the research and preparation time - approximately 20 -25 actual days - a few hours a day. Some days are more productive than others. When you have to redo major sections-time does not matter.Only the result matters.Especially when you want to make the sculpture ready to talk. Yet - you must set some time frame goals of completing one perfect piece. It is also good to give yourself extra time for major corrections....:)

  • Great job on this, very inspiring for someone like me who is in school for 3d digital sculpting and traditional sculpting. How long did this take to sculpt?

  • @joesparto81 All together, without considering the research and preparation time - approximately 20 - 25 actual days - a few hours a day. Some days are more productive than others.I start something - since I constantly re-evaluate the work- sometimes you have to change things for the better. When you have to redo major sections-time does not matter.Only the result matters.Especially when you want to make the sculpture ready to talk...:)

  • Вы Русская ????

  • @v1806v No. But I speak Russian, along with 4 other languages. What great heritage of Art do the Russians have!

  • That is absolutely amazing. Where did you learn to do things like this ?

  • The stand she was working on was sooo shaky , what if he fell on his face lol

  • beautiful talent. i wish that i could do something like that. btw, your comebacks are genius!

  • @cherubicnerd Thank you - it is always nice to be appreciated! Question: By 'comebacks'- do you mean the background? If you do - yes, I did the setting intentionally, so one of my figurative pieces is visible. Portraiture is one thing - figurative is another. Thank you for watching!

  • @StyleViewOrg aw,that's cute but i know nothing about art lingo. what i meant by "comebacks" were your responses to the negative comments. :P!

  • yes, SHE can !!!

  • @discolicker82 ...funny! YEP! SHE DOES .......thx:)

  • wow..this is a great real Art..of scoulpt!!

  • I have to say you are a very glamorous beautuful sculptor. When you sculpt a head you have to capture all the plus and negative points of that face. We ALL have them.

Have you ever sculpted yourself or would you?

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH Thank you for your comment. However- an Artists is judged by the merit of their work, not by the way they look, you agree? In sculpture - when we look for subjects, we look for character - not for beauty. And the answer is - yes, I have done a study for portrait of myself. It is here in the Channel under STUDY FOR PORTRAIT - you can view it on my channel. Thanks for watching!

  • @meowfest2011

Fantastic! Go for it! You are discovering your talent with your passion! Put your creativity to work- give yourself the time to practice techniques, study human bone structure and anatomy, if you are going to venture in figurative or portraiture. It is very, very, very rewarding! Try not to expect miracles in the beginning- just try to improve what you don't like, instead of being overly critical to your work. Just work, learn and always try to make it better! I absolutely love i

  • @Theselcon5

The clay is medium softness CHAVANT oil clay, nonsulfur. It is very smooth, can be plastered and carved - and when completed can stay as long as needed without drying. I have used as well CLASSIC CLAY- equally good.

  • wow. the texture of the hair is magnificent. the eyes are incredible. everything else is amazing as well. im sixteen and just got into sculpting at school and definitely doing something with it as a career. people like you are so inspiring.

  • Oh my God only knows women modeling / sculpting and Youtube? I do not see men do half of what they do in the field of sculpture (at least on youtube)

  • @euodeio3 Thank you for kind comment - but I have to admit -you stand corrected. There are incredibly talented sculptors-a lot of established and a lot of young ones.It may be that their subject matter or the portrayal of women that you disagree-I know I do.And yes- there are less women sculptors than men. Reason being it does require qualities, considered by society very masculine and demanding - strong rational thinking, physical strength as well, not only talent and education ....

  • @StyleViewOrg Ok I'll watch. I have not spoken of the beauty of the artist in question, and she is beautiful - the women of Eastern Europe are the most beautiful in the world - said only that the best YOUTUBE videos are sculptures of women, do not know if Google translation from Portuguese to English is so bad that you have been confused with what I wrote. Hugs from Brazil

  • @euodeio3 Dear eudeio3- there is no problem in what you said - you actually flattered me!. Yes- I am known to make my subjects as realistic as possible - but also to find the absolute inner beauty in them through their expression, movement, etc.(My best friend in LA is from Brazil! Love your country-I hear culture, art and architecture are big there.I also know an great Artist there-Cavalvanti. I hope to visit Sao Paolo some day. But my Portugese is ...hm, nonexistent.! Stay well!

  • HELLO

    Amazing!!! Very nice job.

Is it air dry clay? I am trying to get it (25 LB GRAY AIR DRY CLAY) from Amazon.com. Is it the right one?

  • You are a very talented artist. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hmmmm.....about being easier to cast a mask than sculpt Mr. Obama...- why don't you ask him and let me know!.....:):):) Sculpting is way more fun! Happy New Year!!!

  • Hmm, I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to ask Obama for a casting of his face.

  • this looks like a younger version of obama his head is a bit short in this the new pictures you see have a more length to him from where he has aged.

  • Excellent sculpt by the way,I am jealous of your talent. I really have to get back to doing more art! Glad to see the morons of the internet don't get to you,and you take control! Love your attitude....Have a Great Holiday Season!

  • @a500603497384 Thank you for good words and Holiday wishes! I knew that this video may provoke some adversity. People with agenda simply cannot accept that Artists can have strong beliefs and may not be easily swayed by propaganda - certainly not by right wing enthusiasts . It takes some depth to know that the rainbow colors are in the area between the Mars Black and Titanium White of my Winsor&Newton palette ! Happy holidays!

  • This is an example of what is wrong with the internet, everyone is entitled to their opinion, however not everyone has an opinion worth posting in public. I agree with Drakesprinezz98. Any comments here should only be directed to Tsvetana, telling her how wonderful she is as an artist. Politics do not belong here. It's really disgraceful.

  • @a500603497384 ...thank you for your comment. Occasionally I get these angry, misdirected one liners... It is sad.But this is why Larry Page and Eric Schmidt ( Google's founders) have given us, the Channel creators, the option called 'delete!' and 'spam'! This is a channel for Artists and Collectors- not politicos.Long after Mr. Obama is out of office-his legacy as a historical figure will remain. And there is nothing any self -hating commentator can do about it Happy Holidays!

  • why are people here to talk about barack obama? the main focus shuld be her great skill in sculpting sheesh

  • the only mistake is that he is ...white ! :D

  • @StyleViewOrg Definitely - it's performance that matters, not appearance.

  • Amazing work! where did you graduate art school?

  • you are a great talent

  • Wow! Tsvetana, I just found you on you tube. Absolutely amazing work. I am going to your website to read more about you and see more of your sculpts. It is truly amazing what you have done from photo reference only.Your talent is inspiring. Thank you for sharing, nice sharp video and the added info is a thoughtful addition. Best wishes to you.

  • wow ..all these racist coments about the president...who do you prefer bush..hmm.

  • @69sifu accusing people of being " racist" because they do not like the man's policies WITH ARE DESTROYING the nation is really old and no one is buying it anymore you loser. What we are supposed to support and like what he he does JUST BECAUSE he is black ? Now THAT IS racist. Grow up.

  • @HighMindedLunacy fuck u..

  • @HighMindedLunacy say it to my face..didnt think so..punkass coward.

  • why would you waste the time????

  • @2hatelibs -because he is one of the most intelligent and educated Presidents we have ever had . I was hoping to portray the human being behind the political figure. An Artist should not be politically biased. I did portray Mr. Obama as a person with the human qualities, people are blind for, because of politics or color. I think he is an incredible human being and a good President .Let us never forget that he inherited this economic nightmare from Bush Jr. Open your eyes!

  • @StyleViewOrg Wonderful sculpture. But you should seriously watch the movie called The Obama Deception.

  • @daboognish88 .....I thought the difference between Politics and Art is so obvious! Apparently not..This work is a portrait of a person, not of his political beliefs or affiliation. This is how I intended it. How you perceive it - is entirely up to you. Thank you for the suggestion to watch a propaganda movie , I will pass. Deception, like everything else - can be located in the eye and head of the beholder..... Happy Holidays everyone!

  • @StyleViewOrg Ever heard of political art? Anytime you sculpt a political figure you are going to get political discussion involved. You say an artist shouldnt be politically biased(I dont see why not)yet you say hes one of the most intelligent presidents (id like to remind you intelligence is unrelated to ethicality. abe lincoln had no formal education and nixon had the highest IQ of all) You say open your eyes but then are too closed minded to watch something that could indeed open yours.

  • @daboognish88 I am sorry if this disappoints you, Sir - but I do not do political art. My privilege as an Artist is to chose my subjects. And political art is very temporary, since it only appeals to a certain segment of the population, who may - or may not fully believe in their cause and always have an 'agenda'. I sculpted a historical figure - whom I value very highly. I stand by my choice - and will not apologize for it. Thank you for your comment.

  • You are truly an amazing artist .......rare to find in this world...!!!!>... Hats off!!!!......Appreciate your work from the bottom of heart. God Bless you.

By the way, how many days it took to complete the model?

  • You should male a tutorial

  • You are truly a talented artist I admire you I wish I see you )peter.pavly@yahoo.com my name is wagdy fathy

  • Wanted to listen to the commentary. No chance whatsoever with the louder 'overlay' of the classical music !

  • wow!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • PLEASE, PLEASE turn DOWN your background music.....I am hard of hearing and the music makes it all but impossible to hear your voice.

  • wowowow!!! this is A SCULPTURE!

  • Beau travail.

  • I would be hella mad if i made something like tht n it fell off the able right when i finish.

  • LegoMaster- you are quite observant . Of course proportions are the leading element. Details give the emotion. Don't forget, the President is a human bring, that changes like all of us. Before the economic worries began, he was clearly not as thin as now. I used dated references- around his inauguration . He was a little bit heavier at the time. Plus , I took into consideration the potential changes that will occur after casting of the wax- it shrinks in every direction, especially the narro

  • Obama has a longer face,

And if you say "You couldnt do it better" well im a student of Zürich's art high school and when it comes up to sculptue, proportions are more important than detail.

  • @JSLegoMaster

Not always proportions are critical issues in sculpture: Do the Michelangelo's David has the "right" proportions? Seems that Michelangelo had a different points of view than yours.

Moreover: StyleViewOrg is right: proportions of a face are not always the same in time.

  • wow extrondnary talent

  • Totally awesome. Thanks for sharing your talent on the youtubez!

  • great work!!!!! but you forgot the horns

  • Will it one day, miraculously speak and bark orders to those that have it's 'mark'?

Awesome job by the way. :)

  • @ForcedAgenda HAHA even better lol

  • I drew barack obama and i think i did a good job with 2 demention, but this - this is mind bending and amazing!

  • absolutely beautiful, how much does it cost!!!!!

  • Do you sculpt for public request? Because i want some figures to be sculpt

  • amazing, just amazing

  • wow this is amazing i feel like its really him and hes gonna move out of nowhere haa

  • Very nice work!

How many #s of chavant did this take?

Also, did you just use a frame as your armature or did you fill the bust in with something other than chanvant?

    Thanks
