wtf is this it isn't an isometric tension exersize hes not moving quikely their doesn't seem to be any exersize involving the developement of percission i just don't see the piont in what this guy is doing could some please educate me in not saying it sucks or anything i have respect but i really don't get it please shed some light
Sanchin Long form is used as both a breathing and a dynamic tension exercise. This individual seems as though he's focused more on making noise then breathing. As far as dynamic tension goes.. You're suppose to tense your entire body in exception to breathing in (stomach) and during Sanchin step.
I think every dojo teaches it differently, but I'm gonna side with travesty on this one. I know that, when we did it for our black belt grading, we were constantly whacked, poked and prodded with canes. We were expected to be always tense. So, that in mind, this looks kind of sloppy, at least to me.
haha yeah... not trying to be funny but it does sound like he does want to hock one. i'm shotokan but my friends train in goju and i've never heard them gag or choke like that. maybe a strong deep exhalation but never like they wanted to spit or sounded like their drowning.
the fist should be turned sooner than later !

The excessive noise could be a teaching tool to make sure the individual is breathing. Yelling works better.

When he steps in Sanchin Dachi he repeatedly raises his center of gravity. I do not know if it's more so far definition or another teaching tool.

Watching it a second time it seems like the hocking noise is hindering more so than helping the breathing.

Doesn't look so bad to me...I've seen MUCH worse. Takes a lot of guts to put this stuff out for the world to see. Keep at it and keep sharing!
