Wikipedia staff are a bunch of fucking assholes who think they have important jobs monitoring their website. They think far too highly of themselves. And scientology is fucking crazy. Every scientologist is about as crazy as your average hypocritical christian and your average devout christian combined.
Good for you Wikipedia!!! I know bitching about this is getting old, but I'm sick of how stupid and evil shit is allowed to happen in the world and no one with power tries to stop it because they don't want to "hurt their precious feelings." So even though I'm sure Penn is right, Scientologists will probably just use another computer to edit, but still, it's a start and it sends a message. I hope they blocked Tom Cruise too. He's like their version of Jesus Christ or something lol.
Is it just me, or did anyone see the ad for Jack and Jill before they could watch this movie. I love that the wife (Katie Holmes) of one of the most famous scientologist is featured in an ad/trailer just before this video. HAHA. Take that stupid scientologists!
@michboard the blindness comes from centuries of tradition. scientology's recent invention (by a science fiction author) parallels mormonism (by a convicted con artist) in that they are recent enough for us to see the obvious fraud involved in these money making schemes, and the pathetic attempts by their membership to rewrite their own history books.
The problem with Penn's idea of having all the crazy people in one place, is soon they will have children and inflict their craziness on innocent kids.
For years, the US government has not addressed the fraud and abuse that is well documented in other countries. But now is our chance to make this happen. There is an online petition at whitehouse(.)gov about examining and investigating the abuses of Scientology, and if it gets 5000 signatures by October 24, the Obama administration will issue an official response, which can lead to the downfall of this abusive human rights abusing cult. Please click on my channel and the link on my main video
Scientology is bullshit! And so are all other religions/cults! The older religions only seem less insane because they are older and accepted by most of society, since it has been carried on from a time when the way the universe works was not as well known as it is today (though we still have a long way to go). Imagine if Scientology becomes the future Christianity. It's a scary possibility (as if current religions are any less scary lol).

@RedlineMMA Well they're both basically are cults since they're both bullcrap. But generally a cult is smaller, and they are more violent or "messed up". Gosh darnit I forgot to check my facts and look at the damn date. Another old video. This is happening a lot lately. Is there a shortage of new material from vloggers or just less people vlogging?
People who believe in scientology and don't collect stamps are just as retarded as people who believe in fruit fly speciation and don't collect stamps, or people who rape little children and don't collect stamps. You're all the same to me!
How old is this. Wikipedia, has the option, and sort of an obligation, to instill certain kinds of locks on pages that are hotly debated. Articles who have actually been peer reviewed for accuracy and correct sourcing are given rating of "good article (green circle)" and "featured article (gold star)" if they meet that standard. Although the general nature of Wikipedia is that it is not usually blatantly wrong, and will usually give you accurate information, locks and rating on the article...
Wikipedia has a plicy stating that editors must edit "from a neutral point of view". When partisans attempt to edit bias into a page, they are warned to re-edit from a neutral point of view. If they persist with their bias, they will be blocked. This happens with individual editors and occasionally with whole groups of people. Occasionally, a page will be locked to prevent edit wars.
I wish they would also block the Transcendental meditation clowns.
nice name drop for the free staters in New Hampshire....Penn you should come out to porcfest this year huge libertarian shindig in lancaster, NH lots of family stuff too so you could bring your kids & wife!
Regardless of the scientologists, I don't consider Wikipedia to be a reliable source of information. How could it be when anybody can alter the information?
It's not like it matters. No one takes Wikipedia OR Scientology seriously anyway. That's like the 9/11 Truthers trying to silence the Illuminati conspiracy theorists. The only ones who care are the idiots stupid enough to take one side seriously.
Scientology is a demented cult. But this fat fuck Penn should stick to making stuff disappear and stop pretending that being some Vegas magician celebrity makes his dumbass opinions credible. He's one of those loud mouth ADD retards who wear flame bowling shirts and never shuts the fuck up.
Just thought I'd mention: Wikipedia discourages (and prevents whenever possible) people, companies, websites, etc. from editing their own articles. So the PR people or whoever for Proctor & Gamble will not be allowed to edit the article on Tide or will have their edits removed if someone catches it AND their edits are not fitting with Wikipedia's standards, which is usually what happens. Though they don't block IP addresses across the board (that'd be pointless and problematic)
and other editors or admins don't by default remove edits on, say, An Cafe's article solely because they believe or know it came from a member of the band or someone who works for them, it is highly discouraged and such edits are watched closely. Editors (IPs for unregistered users) WILL be blocked from certain articles after multiple abuses, which is what Scientologists were doing. Perhaps they were singled out a tad more, but it's a standard policy for the entire site ("right" or "wrong").
Penn, why do you hate Zenu? He has spaceships and hydrogen bombs and Tom Cruise and John Travolta. What's not to like? Those darn engrams screw everybody up.
Privet organisations can discriminate against who they want in regard to customer base. Hmmm the irony is that I am only recently able to connect to this video because the geographical restriction has been lifted on crackles behalf. Discrimination especially on the internet gives rise to information monopolies you say the internet is a free market place of ideas how can that be if the people who run the tubes can restrict what info goes through them?
@zofspade A balanced article on Wikipedia would include reference to dissenting voices. The Scientology article has a heading "Controversies", which deals with this. But the Wikipedia article on Prem Rawat fails to even mention the very large, active and angry group of ex devotees.
The reason: a Wiki editor called Jossi Fresco is a devotee of Prem Rawat. This man not only censors the articles, but he also controls Wiki's "Conflict of Interest Noticeboard", meaning there is no way to complain.
Despite what any of them have to say, I maintain, as a human being with respect for others based on their intrinsic value..that it's not okay to bully others into following them or keeping things hush-hush. This is another mass brainwashing movement since Hitler...
Of course Moses was not a Christian, and probably was not an historical figure, but Christians believe he existed and obeyed the commands of the Invisible Cloud Father of the Jews and Christians to murder non-believers. Criminal insanity.
Hi, I'm not sure if it's possible for you to do anything about this but I just thought I'd tell you that there appears to be something wrong with the adds attached to your videos. They keep freezing in the middle and so half the time I can't actually get to your videos because the add won't load.
The videos I have managed to see though are really good.
Does this mean, maybe anyone can say anything about their "suppressive person" ways? Can we now praise psychiatry in the RD Lange manner without getting "all psychiatry is evil" crap. Behavior modificationists and Scientology hate competition. This compound mentality is where things get a bit nutty though. But his point, not word for word literal, is valid. May as well be like the Amish.
Check your facts on this particular one Penn. Wikipedia abuses their power, and sometimes schills for Obama etc. but other times Wikipedia blocks people who try to keep free speech out of Wikipedia. In other words, if a Senator or religious figure or whatnot hires people to constantly monitor and change the information to keep people from knowing facts about them they don't like, Wikipedia can stop them and allow more people across the world to all change the entry w/out interference.
As far as I know ( I may be wrong about this) Scientologists do not encourage followers to use the internet or access media as it may 'corrupt' their minds. The British BBC Documentary, Panorama, presented by John Sweeny, broadcast on the 29 Sep 2010 refers to this.
I do believe that The scientologists have cut out an area that they live in, although it is not quite as basic as the Amish. I believe that we have cut out most of West Hollywood and some of the Greater Los Angeles Area. At least that is what I believe. If I am incorrect, please do correct me. LMAO!
idk about store choosing who they sell shit to? What if all store don't seel to a indivial group . They can insure that group is not competition. Wait i think they already do that now. African exports are cheaper and they are froces to sell cheaper becuase thats what market tells them to do or they wont buy form them. hmm very complicated dilima. More freedom to coporations? i think trhats bad idea.
"...if you have a store and don't want to let in any kind of people, you're welcome to." People like blacks, jews, and homosexuals? Yeah, let's go back to 1930s Nazi Germany, Penn!
@MattBeckstrom you have to realize that in a free society, you should be able to not serve blacks, jews, and homosexuals as long as you own the business. Of course, that would mean 2 important things:
1. you're a public asshole
2. you're likely going out of business soon
so becuase of the abovementioned points, people would tend to serve everybody even if their original inclinations were racist or homophobic
@mw08149272 And another good point to keep in mind is perhaps you own a family restaurant. You don't want anyone with piercings all over their face inside, or anyone with a slightly offensive shirt, or ectectect... It's a legit idea even if some people will be stupid and abuse it.
@mw08149272 I grew up in a small town in northern Michigan where there were literally only about 2 or 3 black people in the entire town. In no way would this hurt their business and they could continue their racist agenda. How about hunting stores? Not that many blacks or minorities hunt, so affecting those that do is inconsequential to a libertarian.
@MattBeckstrom but when townspeople find out, unless the whole town is racist/homophobic, they will be angered and boycott, etc. The point is, when you let the chain of events occur, it will eventually be more profitable, and therefore, more desirable among people, to be tolerant. However, if someone is hellbent on being intolerant, that's their choice, and as long as they don't go out of their way to harm anybody, no one has any business telling them what they can or cannot do
@mw08149272 What if the grocery store is the only one in town and refuses to sell to the only black guy in town? The black guy then ends up dying of dehydration because it's the only place that has water. I guess murder isn't that big of a deal to a libertarian.
@MattBeckstrom What if... my grandma had balls. She'd be my grandpa. Alot of unusual & actually inane 'what if' scenarios to shore up your otherwise bad arguement
@AgentxAnonymous Right, which is why I said Scientology has murdered a few, ruined many lives, stolen much money, and blackmailed some closeted gay actors. I submit that the media push against Scientology takes the heat off Judeo-Christian fairy tales, and the US funding in the billions of Zionist Israel's apartheid/genocide of the Palestinians. Scientology's fictions are no less ridiculous than the ludicrous beliefs of Jews and Christians, and have caused a fraction of a percent the harm.
@tonzimala I meant to say, "Scientology's fictions are no ***MORE*** ridiculous than the ludicrous beliefs of Jews and Christians, and have caused a fraction of a percent the harm."
Scientology falls into realms of conspiracy where they datamine personal ancestrel history for a baptism at the end of the world and theres all this huge government weird shit that goes on way beyond jews and amish. Its more than just a traditional jewish christian type of religon its totally new age bullshit with very little creationist theology behind it.
Yes you are. My dad spent so much time on that crap that my parents got divorced then when I reached 16 (5 dads later) I tried to follow in his footsteps and I also lost the next 7 years of my life to bulls*** when I could have been in college and getting friends and girlfriends.
I would have been better off in a third world country compared to how they just used me and threw me away like a used paper towel like I'm a commodity. No way, never again.
Every post paid envelope you can find from scientology & Dianetics. Fill it with a print out of Xenu Leaflet. Than tape it to a brick and send it back as a response. Best way to protest. Tell all your friend to do this. The church of scientology will have a huge mail bill and each letter opened will free one of their members. Once you red Xenu leaflet they kick you out automatically. Tell as many people as you can. Power of the many. A million people send bricks back that should do something.
Individual Scientologists are not banned from editing Wikipedia pages. Wikipedia banned the Church of Scientology IP addresses after repeated abuse from those ranges--and also banned a few critics of Scientology for similar abuse.

@vlotusv You can have your free speech. But no one's going to listen to a conspiracy nut. Out of curiosity, do you also believe the moon landing was staged? If you did, it wouldn't surprise me.
Should you be thrown down a flight of stairs? No. But understand why people would feel so frustrated with 9/11 Truthies. People tend not to like other people who do not possess the same gift of common sense and rationality.
@TheShipOfTheseus Just pointing out that Penn seems to only believe in free speech for viewpoints he agrees with. No I don't believe the moon landing was staged. And I can completely relate with your last sentence, but I don't think anyone should be thrown down a flight of stairs for holding opinions that I disagree with.
@vlotusv Well, you have a reasonable argument. I can't say I have watched a lot of Penn's videos, but I found this one to be okay. Of course I could be missing some context because I am unfamiliar with his tone. I am happy to hear that you are not a conspiracy nut, but are instead a proponent of free speech. All the best to you. ~TSoT
@vlotusv Penn Jillette publicly advocated "pushing down a flight of stairs" any who disagree with the Bush regime's 911 fairy tale. Fat fuck millionaire errand boy for fat cat fascists.
The degree of stupid that it takes to believe that the Bush administration had anything at all to do with 9/11 is mind-boggling. The terrorists did this out of fear and hatred of the United States and its policies.
I am a socialist and think those 911 conspiracies are, just that.
No doubt, Penn u a millionaire fat cat and even though libertarians throw "freedom" around they all just support the big money. Even if they don't know it!
But yeah, I hated Bush with a passion and am no errand boy for the fascists, and still think 9/11 conspiracies are shit
@tiki2188 You simply have chosen to believe one conspiracy theory over another. All major enterprises in human history have been the result of conspiracy. A wolf pack on a hunt is a conspiracy. The phrase "conspiracy theory" is a pejorative hurled at anybody questioning the official story put out by government or corporation or organized crime, or attempting to provide reasonable context to history. People who use that phrase derisively want the public to stop thinking.
.....you are trying way too hard. That makes no sense. What is the one I believe over the other? Wolf pack on a hunt. Want the public to stop thinking???
I was just merely expressing that you cont have to be a fat fuck millioniare errand boy for the fat cat fascists.
I am CERTAINLY no millionaire and as I said am no fascist right winger. Yet I believe the 9/11 truthers are wrong. So...what other conspiracy do I believe? And if I agreed with you would I still believe in it?
@tiki2188 I don't know whether you are a fat fuck millionaire nor do I care. My reference was to the fat fuck millionaire in the video, who has publicly stated that any questioning the Bush regime's 911 fairy tale explanation should be pushed down a flight of stairs. Penn & Teller got their lucrative Vegas and Sumner Redstone TV contracts after becoming shills for the Cato Institute corporate propaganda mill. Bush hired half a dozen Cato wonks to work on abolishing Social Security. Scum.
@tonzimala Only an uneducated retarded idiot believes in 9/11 conspiracy tales. And what do you care who Bush hired? He hasn't been president since 2008. Don't you think in the 10 years since 9/11 we would have seen someone step up and say he was involved in the conspiracy?
@Diedrupo Uneducated? Retarded? And an idiot? Are you pretending to sound like you are in middle school or are you in fact? 1) Scientology's fairy tales are no more ridiculous than Judaism's. 2) Jews claiming that their Invisible Cloud Father gave them Palestine has fueled Israeli's committing apartheid/genocide against the Palestinians, paid for by 100s of billions of US $. 3) Scientology has only duped a few 1000 out of a few million $, murdered a few, blackmailed a couple of gay guys.
I am just honestly confused at what the hell you are "saying". I am pretty sure if I was all "yeah fuckin Bush staging 9/11" you would not say I believe in this "other conspiracy". I bet you won't even answer this, just go on about being brainwashed and the government and yadda yadda. What are you an anarchist? That's pretty damn close to Penn if so...
@tiki2188 You should also research the proper use of quotation marks, and the meaning of the word conspiracy, as there are apparent holes in your education regarding both.
Love your opinions and arguments. Just like to say that Wikipedia can and often does close articles for editing, which could be an alternative to blocking edits from specific ips (like you mention, not a very effective technique).
Hi Penn fans. Penn Says videos have been discontinued, so you won't be seeing any new content on here. You can check out our Profile on our Channel Page for more info. We'll still be checking in, so hope to keep chatting with you all! Thanks!
Penn endorses the Free State Project and says he should be in Keene, New Hampshire with the "crazy libertarians" ---- @2:18
In his video "Live Free or Die", he fully endorses the Free State Project, and the concept of "anarcho-zionism" (although he hasn't read enough to use Samuel Konkin's label for "a group of anarchists living among one another without the state, to the greatest extent possible".)
@buryfall2010 I believe one of the beliefs in the Amish community is to never wear buttons as it was an invention of a dictatorial empire in the early years. I don't speak from experience so there's no need to slander any misgivings I may have, but I think living without simple modern inventions like electricity or frickin BUTTONS is hindering more than it is standing against living in gluttony.
"To each their own." lol. One needs to respect it or someone else could take what you have or like. Good Show, Penn. I'll exercise my right to freedom and keep watching.

Though they don't block IP addresses across the board (that'd be pointless and problematic)
tehlinebeginstoblur 1 year ago
and other editors or admins don't by default remove edits on, say, An Cafe's article solely because they believe or know it came from a member of the band or someone who works for them, it is highly discouraged and such edits are watched closely. Editors (IPs for unregistered users) WILL be blocked from certain articles after multiple abuses, which is what Scientologists were doing. Perhaps they were singled out a tad more, but it's a standard policy for the entire site ("right" or "wrong").

Why does Wiki continue to permit apologists for Prem Rawat--another cult leader--to remove criticism of his cult?
NevilleRhysBarnes 1 year ago
@NevilleRhysBarnes Criticism and information are not the same thing.
zofspade 1 year ago
@zofspade A balanced article on Wikipedia would include reference to dissenting voices. The Scientology article has a heading "Controversies", which deals with this. But the Wikipedia article on Prem Rawat fails to even mention the very large, active and angry group of ex devotees.
The reason: a Wiki editor called Jossi Fresco is a devotee of Prem Rawat. This man not only censors the articles, but he also controls Wiki's "Conflict of Interest Noticeboard", meaning there is no way to complain.

MattBeckstrom 1 year ago
@MattBeckstrom you have to realize that in a free society, you should be able to not serve blacks, jews, and homosexuals as long as you own the business. Of course, that would mean 2 important things:
1. you're a public asshole
2. you're likely going out of business soon
so becuase of the abovementioned points, people would tend to serve everybody even if their original inclinations were racist or homophobic
mw08149272 1 year ago
@mw08149272 And another good point to keep in mind is perhaps you own a family restaurant. You don't want anyone with piercings all over their face inside, or anyone with a slightly offensive shirt, or ectectect... It's a legit idea even if some people will be stupid and abuse it.
Deathbreak911 1 year ago
@mw08149272 I grew up in a small town in northern Michigan where there were literally only about 2 or 3 black people in the entire town. In no way would this hurt their business and they could continue their racist agenda. How about hunting stores? Not that many blacks or minorities hunt, so affecting those that do is inconsequential to a libertarian.
MattBeckstrom 1 year ago
@MattBeckstrom but when townspeople find out, unless the whole town is racist/homophobic, they will be angered and boycott, etc. The point is, when you let the chain of events occur, it will eventually be more profitable, and therefore, more desirable among people, to be tolerant. However, if someone is hellbent on being intolerant, that's their choice, and as long as they don't go out of their way to harm anybody, no one has any business telling them what they can or cannot do
mw08149272 1 year ago
@mw08149272 What if the grocery store is the only one in town and refuses to sell to the only black guy in town? The black guy then ends up dying of dehydration because it's the only place that has water. I guess murder isn't that big of a deal to a libertarian.

@AgentxAnonymous Right, which is why I said Scientology has murdered a few, ruined many lives, stolen much money, and blackmailed some closeted gay actors. Hey Penn, how about free speech for 9/11 Truth, or do you still think Truthers should be thrown down a flight of stairs?

@vlotusv You can have your free speech. But no one's going to listen to a conspiracy nut. Out of curiosity, do you also believe the moon landing was staged? If you did, it wouldn't surprise me.
Should you be thrown down a flight of stairs? No. But understand why people would feel so frustrated with 9/11 Truthies. People tend not to like other people who do not possess the same gift of common sense and rationality.

@TheShipOfTheseus Just pointing out that Penn seems to only believe in free speech for viewpoints he agrees with. No I don't believe the moon landing was staged. And I can completely relate with your last sentence, but I don't think anyone should be thrown down a flight of stairs for holding opinions that I disagree with.
vlotusv 1 year ago
@vlotusv Well, you have a reasonable argument. I can't say I have watched a lot of Penn's videos, but I found this one to be okay. tiki2188 10 months ago
People who use that phrase derisively want the public to stop thinking.
tonzimala 10 months ago
@tonzimala
.....you are trying way too hard.
And if I agreed with you would I still believe in it?
tiki2188 10 months ago
@tiki2188 I don't know whether you are a fat fuck millionaire nor do I care. My reference was to the fat fuck millionaire in the video, who has publicly stated that any questioning the Bush regime's 911 fairy tale explanation should be pushed down a flight of stairs. Penn & Teller got their lucrative Vegas and Sumner Redstone TV contracts after becoming shills for the Cato Institute corporate propaganda mill. Bush hired half a dozen Cato wonks to work on abolishing Social Security. Scum.
tonzimala 9 months ago
@tonzimala Only an uneducated retarded idiot believes in 9/11 conspiracy tales. And what do you care who Bush hired? He hasn't been president since 2008. Don't you think in the 10 years since 9/11 we would have seen someone step up and say he was involved in the conspiracy?
Diedrupo 9 months ago
@Diedrupo Uneducated? Retarded? And an idiot? Are you pretending to sound like you are in middle school or are you in fact? 1) Scientology's fairy tales are no more ridiculous than Judaism's. 2) Jews claiming that their Invisible Cloud Father gave them Palestine has fueled Israeli's committing apartheid/genocide against the Palestinians, paid for by 100s of billions of US $. 3) Scientology has only duped a few 1000 out of a few million $, murdered a few, blackmailed a couple of gay guys.
tonzimala 9 months ago
