  • how do you get rid of the torque t6 screw without the right screwdriver?

  • @LUCID4RE - You don't. You need the right screwdriver.

  • great information, thank you

  • OK I have a 17 inch unibody Macbook pro. late 2009.

I spilled a couple ounces of water on the track pad and now I am no longer able to click & drag.

I turned off the computer to let it dry out but that didn't resolve the issue. Any tips?

  • @Xtrov - You'll likely need to replace the top case.

  • @Xtrov I have the same problem as you... Did you find any other solution them replacing the top case? :S

  • so i have this same model mac. my track pad is broke. the clicky part. so lets say i take it apart, would that be fixable? it seems to rock back and forth front to back and it makes a hella annoying click

  • is there any way to fix a dent on the casing

  • Not really. Even if you disassemble the unit to "bang" out the dent, it will look bad. Your best bet is to replace the case. They are available from our website.

  • can i buy the topcase on the website you posted? i need a new one for my macbook it is white, but will a black topcase fit? just wondering thanx!

  • You can call or email our customer service department, and they'll help you locate the part you need for your machine.

  • my friend gave me his macbook pro to fix, its actually missing the trackpad/top cover...how do i kno which cover to buy/how do i kno the cover i buy is right? cuz i go on ebay and type in "macbook top cover" and get a zillion results, but they all list the serial number...do i need a specific one?
