@101andrewj - Bill S-10 officially died today (March 25, 2011) now that the government has fallen. All bills that were in progress, including Bill S-10, die when a government falls. What you are probably thinking of is that Bill S-10 passed the Senate. The bill started in the Senate but it still hadn't been debated in the House of Commons (a bill has to pass both houses).

If the Conservatives win the federal election they will have to start the process from the beginning with a new bill.

This is disgusting!!! Why are these people in government instead of in prison? These people bring irrevocable harm to Canada and it's citizens and ought to be charged for their harm. How could someone who isn't on 'the take' actually think these laws are a good idea. They will benefit nobody except those who are involved in organized crime as well as those that benefit from the prison system and the unconstitutional policing of the citizenry.
