Bull shit. First of all, "indie" is a stupid category; nobody should listen to artists just because they aren't signed to a label. Two different bands could be "independent" and sound nothing alike or even use the same song structure. Secondly, just because a person likes one so called "indie" band doesn't mean they have to like all "indie" bands. Thirldy, Built To Spill is signed to Warner Bros. and Death Cab is signed to Atlantic; you can't even call them indie.

They don't care and its a kind of child-like naivety almost that comes across in their appearance and the music which just makes them so endearing. Doug Martsch is, in fact, a genius.

Perhaps i shouldn't have been so bold as to say hands down that David Gilmour is the best guitarist ever. I just want people to understand there is awesome shit out there to be heard that isn't indie rock. And people that listen to indie rock like BTS, the Shins, DCFC think they're are cool because they listen to that stuff and its currently popular among teenagers and those people refuse other types of music and think their's is the elite.
