Tried out my rode svm for the first time last night,and was very dissapointed.I filmed a band from about 4-5 feet away,and it sounds really distorted,even though i had the mic set for loud recordings.I have read that the closer the mic the better the recording but,all ive got is a very horrible bit of footage.I used the mic with a sony dcr-pc9e video cam.
For someone on cid for the first time this was a CRAZY night. I remember almost nothing except half way through the set my friend mouthing "Umphreys is SO EPIC RIGHT NOW"!! Awesome set!
Fuck yea man. My brother went to go see them, moe., Lotus, Les Claypool, and a couple of blue grass bands. So wish I could have gone. Now I have to setle for the sound board versions he's getting.
