I think this is a very nice recipe for someone like myself using the stand up mixer for the first time to make bread. As of right now, my bread is rising beautifly!!! Way back when; I used to do the whole recipe by hand, but this is wonderful. I may not ever buy store bread again!!!
For this recipe yes. I got it from my Cuisinart stand mixer recipe book. But if you don't want to use this powdered milk look for my french toast recipes, I don't think I made bread with the milk, just flour, water, yeast, sugar and oil. Thanks for watching.
Seriously, was the new age, close encounters of the 10th kind REALLY necessary to demonstrate this delicious looking bread? I felt like I was in the mind of George Harrison while on an acid trip.
@divinechef Of course you could use regular milk..... You would just need to decrease the amount of water put in. and why do you say 7 1\2 cups of flour? Why not just say 3 & 1\2 cups of flour?
Don't be confused between dry and liquid ingredients. By removing the powdered milk you have less dry ingredients so the ratios may not be correct. Also this recipe is for 2 loafs so it's 7 + 1/2 cups of flour not 3 and a half.
I suggest you click the "show more" link under the video for the actual recipe. The only time a microwave is used in making bread is to heat up the water for the yeast to about 110 degrees F. Thanks for watching.
My parents bought me a new 5 quart kitchenaid mixer. I want to make bread. What kind of pans should I buy. The 99cent store had steel pans for a buck. Should I buy better ones with a coating? I want them to last a long time. I don't mind spending a few bucks if they are better and last. Thanks
Great video.... More for the advanced baker, but it does have all steps spelled out. I suggestion, could you please end it with by slicing off a piece and showing us the inside.
I have tried this recipe with both instant yeast and active dry . I have followed the directions and still my bread falls while baking. What am I doing wrong ?
Strange I just made this yesterday, no problem. My only suggestions is not to use old yeast and mix it in 110 degree water for 10 minutes prior to mixing. Should be nice and foamy and if your yeast is working correctly it should double in size after 1 hour. If not then there's some sort of problem.
dude your recipes are turning me into a hero.

Take these loafs and make french toast for breakfast. My channel has several variations.

What would happen if I used only 2 packs of yeast instead of 3? Last time i used 3 and my bread smelled like beer

@irisayala
The bread would be denser and less light and fluffy.

Super. One thing that's required is a warm area for the yeast to rise. If less than 70 F then the results aren't as good.

Can you substitute the dry milk for liquid ?
keg265 5 months ago
@keg265
No, then you would end up with a batter too wet. Thanks for watching.

what flour should i use plan or self-raising flour
queeny107 1 year ago
@queeny107
I'd recommend regular bread flour.

Thanks, but next time rip the bread open so that we can see what it's like inside - it's the most important part!

How can I substitute the yeast for instant yeast. Whats the ratio or do I use the same amount ?
keg265 1 year ago
@keg265
Sorry I haven't used "instant" yeast ... my research says to use interchangeably (same amount)
Thanks for watching!

Can i sub some of the flour for wheat flour ?
keg265 1 year ago
@keg265
Sure I haven't tried but I think you would get the same results just with a wheat loaf.

can you use regular milk instead of dry milk powder?
mono1342 1 year ago
@mono1342
No that would add much liquid content and you wouldn't end up with bread.
