Got this game the other day, rented it from blockbusters.
Completed it and i've got to say this game is a mnust buy! the gameplay can be repetitive but when you're playing it feels amazing, the story to the game is epic! , the ending is a big surprise but other than that, the Graphics and the detail of the game is amazing!, the Characters are well made and yes it is a bit like gears but that makes it better :)
Lol. Warhammer has been around for over 20 years longer than Gears has been around. If anything, Gears copied warhammer's futuristic type of combat and storyline.
What i was saying is that the gameplay is a bit like gears of war, i've played many warhammer games, i wasn't saying that they're all gears-like just this one, the basic gameplay in this game is just like that of gears mate, i never once stated that they were copying, nonetheless these are both amazing games.
Unfortunatelly many "high end" games today are finished in a few hours. Its more like an engine-demo than a proper game. Crysis2 took me some 7-8 hours to finish (1 freaking afternoon!). I think thats not cool that we have to pay full money for a few hours. Ive played since the C64 computer in the 80's, and what i see is that games get shorter and shorter. Never buying these flashy games again. DeusEx was longer though and ARMA series are LOOOONG! Real proper games and not engine-demos.
Have we given up on childhood being a time for innocence.
This game is sick. Even if it were an 18, only sociopathic morons would like it. Everyone at that age who is still into games should be playing Battlefield 3, Halo 3 or ARMA 3. Games that minimise the blood and focus on strategic skill and team work. COD, Gears of War, Dead Island, etc. are all IMMATURE, despite what rating is on the front of the box.

@tristomietitore You realize how large the armor is compared to the human right? This isn't a suit of armor like the clone troopers from star wars. The helmet is the right size for the person inside, the rest of that is the armor.

Well i finished the game. It only took me 3 hours. Its not a bad game. I give it a 7/10. This is the first War Hammer game i've played. It is a very simple FPS in my books. I found it very gory and i don't mind gore but this is a bit much. Pre-teen really should not play this game because of the gore factor. Not to mention the brutal ways to kill the enemy.
Really, this game is sad, i mean im not a warhammer fan boy. But i found myself bashing down the same type of orcs for a hour, and i got kinda tired of it. slash.. Slash.. Slash.. F... E .. Slash... Slash.. Oh red one.. T.. Slash, slash slash!

I've never really been much of a Warhammer fan, but after trying out the demo, I was surprised to find I actually kinda liked the game. I've always felt somewhat offput to Warhammer 40K since it always seemed to have a dark, ominous look to me. It might be interesting to learn more of the lore before I jump to any further conclusions.

Got this game the other day, rented it from blockbusters.
Completed it and i've got to say this game is a mnust buy! the gameplay can be repetitive but when you're playing it feels amazing, the story to the game is epic! , the ending is a big surprise but other than that, the Graphics and the detail of the game is amazing!, the Characters are well made and yes it is a bit like gears but that makes it better :)

What i was saying is that the gameplay is a bit like gears of war, i've played many warhammer games, i wasn't saying that they're all gears-like just this one, the basic gameplay in this game is just like that of gears mate, i never once stated that they were copying, nonetheless these are both amazing games.

Unfortunatelly many "high end" games today are finished in a few hours. Its more like an engine-demo than a proper game. Crysis2 took me some 7-8 hours to finish (1 freaking afternoon!). I think thats not cool that we have to pay full money for a few hours. Ive played since the C64 computer in the 80's, and what i see is that games get shorter and shorter. Never buying these flashy games again. DeusEx was longer though and ARMA series are LOOOONG! Real proper games and not engine-demos.

This game is sick. Even if it were an 18, only sociopathic morons would like it. Everyone at that age who is still into games should be playing Battlefield 3, Halo 3 or ARMA 3. Games that minimise the blood and focus on strategic skill and team work. COD, Gears of War, Dead Island, etc. are all IMMATURE, despite what rating is on the front of the box.
Avoid this cynical exploitation at any age.

@tristomietitore You realize how large the armor is compared to the human right? This isn't a suit of armor like the clone troopers from star wars. The helmet is the right size for the person inside, the rest of that is the armor.

Multiplayer is an utter let down. Ping times are terrible for most players. Apparently its working on P2P hosting.
No Server browser at all. I think unless they fix this, this game is headed for the pit of eternal damnation.
Oh buts its a pretty game...
Possibly too dumbed down, this is what happens when you get non-gamer executives making final decisions...

Well i finished the game. It only took me 3 hours. Its not a bad game. I give it a 7/10. This is the first War Hammer game i've played. It is a very simple FPS in my books. I found it very gory and i don't mind gore but this is a bit much. Pre-teen really should not play this game because of the gore factor. Not to mention the brutal ways to kill the enemy.

I've never really been much of a Warhammer fan, but after trying out the demo, I was surprised to find I actually kinda liked the game. I've always felt somewhat offput to Warhammer 40K since it always seemed to have a dark, ominous look to me. It might be interesting to learn more of the lore before I jump to any further conclusions.
