Liberals love socialism in all its vile forms, e.g., Progressivism, Fascism, Green, Communism, Marxism. It's only when the enemies of America are threatened that Liberals cry "fascism".

I really would like to know where you get your info on what fascism is. You seem to not really know at all. As a man who has studied what fascism is, it's clear to me you are coming from the Jonah Goldberg/Glenn Beck school of thought. You can argue that fascists weren't "conservative", but they were right wing. And they were the most vicious anti-leftists ever. Your view is not only wrong, but offensive to those who died under fascism.

*Nationalized health care
*Nationalized industries
*Protected and unprotected classes

To answer your second question (this will probably take up 2 comments by the way.) Nationalized Health Care was a concession by the Kaisers to the people in order to quell their democratic struggle and stifle them for asking for more in the long run.

The Allies had wanted to make Germany as impotent as possible. The Nazis didnt ride to power confiscating guns, it was the Weimar Republics inability to take their guns (more to come)

And as far as protected and unprotected classes, it was the protected business/wealthy classes that catapulted the Nazis into power. Prominent conservative and wealthy coal/steel owner Fritz Thyssen was one of Hitler biggest financiers. In Italy, the federation of industry and private bankers like Ettore Ovazza were funding Mussolini.

I know I drowned you with comments. But it's only because you are gravely mistaken on the history of fascism. It all started when the wealthy were struggling with business and profits (post WW1) and tried to roll back the wages of workers in the country. But the workers had strong democratic organization, so it wouldn't be simple. So death squads (black and brown shirts) were used to intimidate workers in the name of the wealthy.

@TheAntiLeft fascism is far more appealing to capitalists and their political backers than socialism. Fascists believe in private property, have no problem with using bigotry to scapegoat problems. They love the expression of power and violence for their own sake and as means to an end. In fascist countries, there is a total merger of the business and political elite (Mus. called it corporatism) coupled with an oppressive police apparatus to maintain Order, which fascist are also obsessed with.

Treuhand, had a hand in privitizing many nationalized industries AFTER WWII, but the notion that the nazis' handed over the reins of industry to people who WEREN'T involved with their regime is simply absurd. I didnt say they handed it over to foreign corporations. Local corporations in the Germany and Italy made contact with US corps and allowed them to profit as well. @TheAntiLeft lol no. the fighting between fascists, who were overtly and self-procraimedly right wing and between communists was because of a very different view of the world that was exactly at odds. fascism grew out of hatred of anti-war activists, gays, religious/ethnic minorities, liberal cosmopolitan decadence. they said this verbatim. its not like anarchists vs marxist vs social democrats in any sense. every fascist from napoleon to pinochet hated the leftwing and embraced the right.
