If you make it so it goes over the top of the pistons it's easier to build and make the pistons easier to extend and you can connect the other side to the top.

@DingoBingoCAKE Every redstone bit is hidden, and that's good enough. And some pistons in the walls isn't that bad. Having those pistons hidden would require even more redstone than this.

or you can use 2 pistons and wire them to up and down (bottom/up,top/down) :D but this is still a great tutorial

@me99hi That would still leave a piston view-able from the outside. If you wanted to make a secret base, this would be better to make the door hidden from the outside.

He is such a genius with redstone, and I couldn't eave this invention out since people were asking for it. So what am I supposed to do? Take the old design and learn people that one instead? Anyways, there's always more than 1 redstone tutorial.

@LordMinning I was wrong. You CAN hide the pistons in this design by pushing them up or down with two sets of stacked pistons in opposite directions. I made a working prototype with 5 levers. Then I created the mechanism to control it properly with one lever. I'll post a response tomorrow.

It's not 100% hidden since you can see the pistons as you go through the door. Hide the pistons, then it will be 100% hidden ;)

@RealPsojed Hiding the pistons afterwards would probably require loads of redstone and skill with it.. Or else I'd say it's pretty much impossible. So this is the hidden door, since you can't see the door from the outside.

@LordMinning Yes, it is impossible to hide them afterwards for this design. Removing floor or ceiling blocks for moving the pistons away would expose some redstone.

Maybe you could push it by dropping sand/gravel right behind the blocks, but you'd need the same thing to push it back to original position. That would make the wall look very suspicious :)

@Danger100ish Well, I didn't hide the lever here because I was just showing you that it worked. It's up to you to hide the lever/button yourselves, since there's no correct answer to where you can hide the button, since every seed produces different minecraft maps. So it can be 100% hidden, but there's so many ways to do it. You just got to pick the right one for yourself and so it fits with your minecraft map.

@LordMinning well the only way i can think of to hide it without having to break and place some random block which is really annoying is make a lava or water fall but water is transparent and lava falls arent very common

@Danger100ish There's so many ways to hide it, and if you don't to hide it you could just add a combination lock or something? Since they can't find the door, they'll have to know the code. :) If you wire it correctly, it should be hard to cheat the code. :)
