So if you want to call any band with a music video "fake" and just a "karaoke" band, go for it, but there's no point because it's not a valid argument. The whole point of a studio is to spend hours recording take after take and even more hours mixing so that everything sounds perfect. Everyone nowadays expects perfection from every live performance because 98% of popular music artists fake that they're actually playing/singing at their concerts. WOTE's performance was quite good considering they played and sang the song live.
@BenjaminCoversSongs just checked the other covers "somebody that i used to know", and all the of the other artists performances were live, so that's probably why people thought WOTE could pull it off.

I think their posture could also be affecting things. They were all situated a little differently, and there's some awkward congestion leading to Gianni having to slouch which could contribute to his inability to belt it the way we're used to. All the same, I'm very impressed!

I think their posture could also be affecting things. They were all situated a little differently, and there's some awkward congestion leading to Gianni having to slouch which could contribute to his inability to belt it the way we're used to. All the same, I'm very impressed!
