My uncle owns a company, and works 1 hour a day. I stress 1 hour a day. My father did all of the work to get my uncle to where he is now. ALL OF IT (10 years worth). The company was going under until my father came in.
Then my uncle decided he didn't want to pay my father anymore (my father wanted to own the business himself) so he fired him.
Now my family lives in a lower-middle class home.
Capitalism did this to me. Did I mention my uncle was a Republican?
@FarLeftRevolution Look at what communism did to the North Koreans and what socialism did to Greece. In a capitalist society you can recover. Your father can work hard and pick himself back up. That is the beauty of American Capitalism. Is there risk involved yes. Does everyone get rich no, but our poor are not rotting in the streets with swollen bellies like the poor of Africa or India. Capitalism has allowed our poor to get cell phones and televisions and food.
Capitalism is fucking awesome, the idea that poor people are getting poorer is an complete LIE! Yes, some people are getting wealthier faster than other, but that doesnt mean everyone is getting poorer.
