  • fleet foxes didn't bring me here...

  • There's such a beautiful fragility to her songs.

  • Transcendent. Music like this takes us well beyond the passing concerns of the temporal sphere. Judee Sill may have travelled a rugged road, but I think she knew that she was on a journey to somewhere better. The fame and the fortune her talent deserved may have eluded her but I think there's a definite kind of immortality in her songs.

  • @hardyfh1 beautifully put.

  • fantastic....i read on rolling stone that the mgmt loves this song....ty for uploading

  • Lovely song, Thanks for uploading.....

  • just wonderful.

  • i love it

  • What a beautiful son, discovered it by accident and can't get it out of my head

  • Thanks, Fleet Foxes!

  • fleet foxes brought me here

  • does anybody happen to have the tabs for this song?

  • Just beautiful.

  • Just genius, one that touches the soul..

  • I can listen to this song forever...

  • I love her music.

  • im an atheist, but i still dig the shit out of this song

  • Peace!!!

  • Excellent. beautiful. Despite everything negative that happened in her life, this woman has a beautiful soul.

  • I like this song so much.

    Er.What a hackneyed phrase.

My English does not grow at all.

It is so frustrating not to be albe to express my feeling.

Only way to express my feeling is to use exclamation mark.

I! like! this! song! so! much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrGasagasa AHAHAHAHAH

  • andrew vanwyngarden from mgmt showed me this!

  • Why is the Fleet Foxes version more popular than the original? Judee's version just broke me to pieces when I first heard it, and that of the Foxes just--- barely effects me.

  • @megatherium01 they both are genius and beautiful in their own way. Screw any kind of hierarchy, both Judee Sill and Robin Pecknold are exceptional musicians.

  • @mschmidler Just a matter of taste and recency I suppose.

  • Judy Sill was one of the biggest talents we will ever hear, her lyrics were pure poetry.

Her life was dogged with problems from robbing banks to drug addiction.. She did break the habit, but terrible back pain caused from a car crash saw her use again as a pain releif. Judys ashes were scattered on the Pacific ocean. A fan for always.

  • I am so thankful that this gal got to record a few songs. Whatever happened in her life was truly tragic but I and many others am fortunate to have listened to her beautiful voice and songs. She was something special !

  • I wonder how this would be received if a lot of people were able to hear it, like via American Idol. I do not want to think about what might have happened, but her music is about as good as it gets.

  • Because she wouldn't play the game - she was tossed aside. Wish she could've survived all the BS - and David Geffen's ways. He's somethin else that guy!

  • junkie.

  • @cinquecentolover Junkie....junkie? Do you feel superior now,you cretin?

  • @MrTulip65 nope. i was mearly pointing out the downfall of her life. without the heroin, we would still have her, but you know what, i think without the herion we would not have such a beautiful tender song. it has higltited the vulnerability of her, and many other around the world. i was not trying to be rude or disrespectful. junkie is a term which can refer to far more than just a physical state of a person. think about mental processes that occur when heroin flows through your body. R.I.P.

  • this is good, but i love robin pecknolds version soooo much better

  • She died alone, forgotten and hurting. Suffering terrible backpains while being chased by her demons. David Geffen was one of them.

  • @sander15 you're right Simon, He was, such a tragedy! She was so gifted, and still everything went to hell. Her music survives though...

  • I agree nikezooms. They seems so close. why didnt they get married and tour together into the life they deserved....

  • i feel an uncanny resemblance of this vibe to nick's bryter layter... anyone? its cool, makes me feel good

  • What an incredible piece of music....inspiring...

  • So beautiful and honest.

  • From the same era that gave us Tim Buckley, Nick Drake etc there was also the voice of this angel. Some of us will never forget the beauty in her lyrics and her wonderful musicianship.

  • ...right to the soul.

  • huge talent.

  • I'm in love.

  • This track is as good today as when it was first recorded. Judee Sill, the greatest folk singer / songwiter never to have made it. RIP.

  • waiting for god and a train to the astral plane. hoping for truth and a ride to the other side.

    arent we all? so poignant...

  • Thank you very much for this beautiful piece of playful astral hope....

  • Glorious.

  • Thank you for uploading this track. So pure and uncluttered, just a voice and a guitar most of the time. Lovely.
