  • Jim Web as Vice President would have been an increadible slap to the face of republicans. Just saying.

  • Thanks!

  • good video,, i kinda think he should choose hillary

  • It is a bit different in August than it was in May. I think she's one of the stronger choices.

  • I favor Kathleen Sebelius. We don't need the military balance (as the candidates who want OUT of the wars as fast as possible)as much as we need the domestic economic strength Kathleen could offer. It would also be helpful to have a historic move with the female Veep. I fear strong military men as Commander in Chief as they are likely to latch onto wars as their favorite toys. What's a warrior to do without a war? We need a support/compatible person and not a warrior.

  • Joe, what about the Indiana Senator?

  • I don't know him well and defer to the comment below. As of 2 weeks ago, the prime speculative list was:

Evan Bayh (Sen-IN), Joe Biden (Sen-DE), Hillary Clinton (Sen-NY), Tim Kaine (Gov-VA), Patty Murray (Sen-WA), Bill Nelson (Sen-FL), Sam Nunn (Sen-GA), Jack Reed (Sen-RI), Kathleen Sebelius (Gov-KS)

  • Evan Bayh is the best current choice.

Bayh is against the war, Bayh is popular in a currently swing state, Indianna, Bayh formerly supported Hillary, picking him would unite the party like Hillary supporters wanted, Bayh is also popular in states like Ohio, Kentucky, the Virginias, he cuts taxes, he's not "inexperienced", remember Obama's speech about red states and blue states, he's in a red state, he apposes Bush strongly, he's a strong supporter of civil rights and is a reagan democrat.

  • This is a strong argument. At 53 Bayh is also young enough to become president in 8 years.

I should start listening to more manly sluts.

  • Haha, thanks pal! Your video is great also.

  • Hmm.. I'm kind of leaning towards Kathleen. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Entertaining to say the least.

  • I don't know if this was mentioned, but, Hilary Clinton as the Vice President is not necessarily a position of "no power" like most VPs are. Let's not forget the possibility the Obama might be assassinated. As sad as that is, it is a very real possibility.

Other than that, I liked your video. I echo very many of your sentiments.

  • I think that Obama might just pick Brown out of left field because for some reason no one is talking about him.

Too bad that Jim Webb and Mark Warner are out but I think that Virginia is in play without them. The last few polls have Obama ahead by a couple points.

  • bydn for obama

  • Webb is Out!!! ...... *cries*

  • I know. It's a shame. Thanks for coming to this video to say it!

  • I would won't

    1. Denis Kusinich

    2. Joe Biden

    3. Al Gore

  • Sebelius also has no foreign experience and Jim Webb does and Sebelius will be torn apart on foreign security/military by McCain. McCain will try to make the election about foreign security no matter the economy and with Webb who has an equal, if not better resume in the military and has fought on the ground, he will take McCain to school on the war and McCain's VP. All the other VP pics are frankly rediculous. Democrats don't have a problem with women voters, it is white southerners.

  • Jim Webb is the best one there by far.

Sebelius=slap in the face of Clinton supporters because despite her longer carreer in politics, no one knows who she is. No gurantee of carrying Kansas either and women supporters are already going to vote Obama.

Brown=name alone and no one knows him

Webb is a white and military version of Obama

    -Fellow Marine

    -Hasn't been in Washington long

    -Two Liberals=Fail, Webb=Moderate

    -Opposed war from beginning

    -Experience outside of Washington

  • three "words women cant fight" a paper writtin by Jim Webb

  • The information in this video is old. The new frontrunners are Kaine, Bayh, Sebelius, and Biden. We'll know very soon!

  • My first pick is John Edwards, then Gov.Ted Strickland of Ohio, 3rd Sen.Evan Bayh.

  • My picks for VP are in no order but:

    Marc Sanford

    Kathleen Sebelius

    Tom Daschle

Simply because they appear on the list of attendees for the 2008 Bilderberg meeting in Va. We'll see.

  • Is that a real expression of admiration, or a slight against the presumption of American sovereignty?

  • American sovereignty is on the way out. It pains me to say it, but we are watching the death of America.

  • And if it's not one of them will your perspective improve?

A lot of people only pay attention to the information that confirms what they already believe, but I can see in your videos that you're smarter than a lot of people.

  • "And if it's not one of them will your perspective improve? "

No. Do you think the winner will be connected to the CFR? Of coarse! Just like the last election and the one before that both candiddates are connected to the CFR. Ever hear of the Bilderberg's? Remember the night Obamam and Clinton "met"? Probably just a coincidence that Obama kidnapped reporters and slipped away in Chantilly Va to meet her. That is where the secret annualy meeting was held this year for the Bilderberg's.

  • I stopped voting long ago, Joe. I refuse to put a mark next to the lessor of two evils. Both parties are corrupted and have the same agenda-destroy this country. Does it srike you as odd, that 7 years after 9-11, our borders are so pourous? Why do civilians(minutemen) have to do the job of the government? Everyone knows that after an attack, the first thing you do is secure your fort. That however, doesn't fit with a nafta superhighway, currency change, and a north american union.

  • And thank you for your kinds words. I am anything but smart, however. I just love to learn. I study and research every day perhaps to a fault.

  • i actually meant to put bloomberg first

    than Clark.

  • Nice video, I choose more towrds the center though to win over independents and disgruntled republicans- the goal is to win, these have better name recognition too and quality values and great experience

My choices in order of preference.

    1)Clark

    2)Bloomberg

  • Why is everyone saying Jim Webb? Is change about picking someone who up until very recently was a republican? Why do democrats always think they have to water down the platform in order to win?

  • Check any congressperson's record at progressivepunch . org

You'll see that Jim Webb has voted on par with, or further left than Barack Obama.

  • Wes Clark is the best choice for VP.

    He spoke out against the War in Iraq;

    He's a successful retired general;

    He's a Clinton supporter.

    He's run a presidential campaign;

    He's a southern white male.

This is the one ticket the Democrats can cover all the bases with. If that's not enough, watch 'Clark smacks Fox News'.

  • GO WES CLARK!

  • You can call names, but it does not make a difference to me now or ever. Hillary would have made a very good president,if only she would gotten that chance. So all those who are against her, let's talk in a couple years from now.

  • "Hillary would have made a very good president"

    lol yeah right.

She did a great job of keeping us out of Iraq.

BTW I've spoken to former memebrs of a certain agency.

Hillary KNEW what she was doing when she voted us into this damn war.

  • Hillary for president 2012! Most women are backing you till the end! So don't worry if you don't get to be VP 09.

  • piss off spam monkey you don't speak for most women now or ever.

  • Kathleen Sebelius is choice for VP. Webb, would be great, but he has had some problems with things he's said that could be interpreted as being misogynist. Brown, is obviously and good choice for the reasons you stated in the video, but also bad for those same reasons. Sebelius was born in Ohio, her father was a very popular governor from Ohio. Her style, tone and values seem to fit Obama well (no doubt because Obama's grand parents and mom are from Kansas.

    Obama/Sebelius '08

  • obama sebelius '08 Jim Webb for secretary of defense. Oh Yeah!!

  • webb. make it so.

  • Comment removed

  • Hell no. Sebelius is a good woman and she definately knows her way around the economy, but if Obama picks a female VP who's NOT Hillary Clinton, then that would be a HUGE slap in the face to her, her supporters, and the entire democratic base.

Of the VP options that Joe outlined for us, I would go with:

    Obama / Webb '08 !

  • I agree completely with NYPlayerT2...

Sebelius has her strong suits. Shes economically strong and shes a woman to boot, but Obama is not weak in the economic department. He IS weak in Clinton support and Sebelius will not help that IMO for the reason NY brought up. Webb is the best choice for Obama because Obama has been noted for being weak in Foreign Affairs and Webb helps that TREMENDOUSLY.

    Obama/Webb 08

  • Not really, can really be justified by the fact that she's been in elected politics longer than Clinton, and above all SHE'S A GOVERNOR! Executive experience has a lot of weight.

Now if he picked McCaskill, a senator, it would be a slap in the face.

  • I am with you with that Sebelius would be the best choice by far.

  • Webb does sound like a good choice.

  • I think Obama should pick John Mccain for vp.

  • Webb

  • great analysis - thanks!

  • Jim Webb.

  • PS Stop watching so much MSNBC--it will rot your brain. Now c'mon on over here all you Obama nut huggers and give us inbred, redneck Clinton fans a big kiss! We are going to be one big happy family.

  • LOL I took one look at you and pegged you for the typical Obama supporter. Too smart by one. Hillary will be the VP and here is why...THE BILL FACTOR. Who is going to really help Obama win? Kerry? Kennedy? Carter? Nope. Not even Gore can do it. One person knows how to bend the Republicans over and his name is Bill. Take a deep breath and repeat after me, "I am happy to support the strongest ticket possible Obama/Clinton 08! Just be happy it ain't Hillary on top. You got lucky.

  • Joe - I'd like a new assessment of Obama's potential VP candidate. Seems as though Hillary wants it. Deciding whether or not to accept the "unity ticket" will have consequences on his candidacy, both positive and negative. Makes for interesting conversation.

  • You want some juicy VP gossip, look at this:

    watch?v=q4j629O3uQs

  • Dear JoeFelice I am impressed! Have not checked you for sometime. I am travelling but will return to my home base in a matter of days. You are offering a stellar and instructive analysis. Mr. Obama should take a page from this. Your other commentators are also very astute. Your channel has grown to become an impressive success! You have always been and continue to be a stellar analyst. 5 stars from me.

  • It might be best if Obama's VP meet some, but not necessarily all of these criteria: White, Female, Current/Former Governor, from the South, or a swing state, and have a longer political or executive Resume than Obama. One good candidate might be Janet Napolitano, Governor of Arizona (McCain's State), She has the Executive experience, would be attractive to female voters, and would eat away at McCain's home field advantage in Arizona.

  • Kathleen Sebelius reminds me of GHW Bush, she has the exact same undertones in her speech as GHW Bush. Her body language and speech is Republican and she's playing politics with her endorsement.

The NAFTA Super Highway goes through and forks off in Kansas.

If Obama has to pick a Woman ... US Sen Patty Murray (D) WA is by far the best and safest choice for the USA. But the NAFTA Super Highway is by far more important than doing what is right for We The People of USA.

    Sebelius is a bad choice.

  • Another female senator would b a slap in the face to Clinton.

A governor may be the only choice.

But the appeal to republicans may help Obama greatly.

  • I think Sebelius is his best chance to win, because of Hillary supporters.

  • Obama/Sebelius 08

  • Can we have all three?

  • you sound very intelligent. Keep up the good work

  • I totally agree with your three vice president candidates.

They were my 3 picks also.

  • IMO the VP choice doesn't effect voting outcomes...with these exceptions: VP from (1) a key swing state (2) minority or female.

Assuming BO has to pick a white male VP with centrist/security creds, Webb has nat'l name recognition and Virginia is in play; it aint Ohio/Penn, but it's better than nothing.

Since BO will be (IMO) favored to win, I think MC has to gamble. I like Kay Baily Hutchison; good Rep creds who could peel off some Hillary supporters whose main issue is gender politics.

  • I totally agree with you on the danger of Obama picking a man and McCain picking a woman.

I don't think PA is a better state to pull from than VA because it trends slightly to the left of other swing states and the VP should help expand the map, especially in a year like this.

  • JoeFelice" What about the Arizona governer?

  • Lovw your style of delivery and completely agree with your commentary regarding Senator Webb!

  • Joe you are a delight. I like your three picks.

Though, I still wouldn't discount Richardson- he may be alright campaigning for someone else, he sort of rocked the Portland rally when he came out with his endorsement. He's also a (once upon a time) pal of the Clintons which gives them a potential ear in the inner circle- something that campaign may be bargaining for nowish.

  • BTW...Obama/Gore would be another "dream ticket". :/

  • Unfortunately people are still very shallow when it comes to choosing a president. Since that is the case, I think Sebelius will resonate more with voters. She'll potentially pick up the Hillary voters, she's much more pleasing to look at on camera than Webb, and she has a lot of Obama's same charisma. I want Obama to win and I think Sebelius is his best chance to do that.

  • I would differ on semantics only. I don't think it's shallow to want a woman on the ticket. Seeing change in our leaders changes the way we see each other. That's one of the legitimate, defensible advantages of Obama over McCain.

  • Obama/Sebelius '08. I just read an article that "leaked" about Obama searching for a vp. Webb, Sebelius, and Hagel kept coming up. Although I liked what I saw from Hagel the most, as far as his aggressive style complimenting Baracks more tempered style, you seem a lot more informed than I am, Joe. I read what you said about Hagel so I'll take your word for it. That leaves Sebelius and Webb.

  • Chris Dodd would be a good pick as would Bob Kerry.

Trust me I love Webb as a Senator but you don't want him running for VP.

  • LOVE Jim Webb. He rocks.

  • Obama/Webb

  • They'll be creative. They'll tap each other as vice president. If McCain wins, Obama becomes vice president. If Obama wins, McCain becomes vice. How unifying!

  • Obama/Webb!

The ticket just might unite Blacks and rednecks, two groups who have historically been marginalized, yet were tragically pitted against each other.

  • LOL @ lemon bars.

  • I like Webb, but I must say I think General Wesley Clark would be a better pick for the "military" vote and someone who is very adamant about leaving Iraq and having plenty of experience internationally. I also like Collen Powell, he is very supportive of Obama, and also believes that holding talks with even our enemies is very important in order to help solve international crisis. I think Obama is a genius for supporting this kinda of diplomacy.

  • Seems like you had a fun time making thing video, I definitely enjoyed watching it. You bring up some very impotent issue that I haven't thought about.

  • I think Webb is the best choice.

I check back to see if you've updated really often. I love your videos and your ideals and views. You're very intelligent, unlike all of the Kentuckians here.

I live in Eastern Kentucky and today I was driving down the road, and someone was holding up a big sign that read "VOTE FOR HILLURY"

I just laughed and drove on.

  • Haha, that's funny. Thanks Tessah :)

You don't have to check back for new videos from your favorite people. You can just hit the yellow button that says subscribe on anybody's videos you like and all of the new stuff from their channels will show up on the front page when you're signed in.

  • You should put up a video like this for the GOP side. I enjoy your insight.

  • I probably will. Just a matter of getting it done.

  • Obama/Webb!

  • After the top three you have chosen..can you explore Chuck Hagel, Wes Clark and Sen Blanche Lincoln pls?

  • Sen. Lincoln has some real strengths, as a Southern woman who wins by double digits. But she votes like a Republican on corporate subsidies and on the environment, plus she voted for the war. These facts hurt her, especially this year, and she would need to reconcile them somehow.

I address Wes and Chuck below (negatively).

Good balance is someone with the same positions as you, but different qualifications. If you choose someone with different positions, you're asking them to be a hypocrite.

  • Ok Joe let me ask you, what do you think of Obama possibly choosing Kansas Senator Kathrine Sibelus, pardon spelling, shes up and coming as a woman in the Democratic party, or maybe even Murtha, just a thought, what do you think..?

  • Sebelius (Governor Kathleen) is one of my favs.

Jack Murtha is pro-life, and 4 years older than John McCain. Also like McCain, he almost got busted for bribery 20-odd years ago. Not a good fit there.

  • Sit down dumbass.

  • lol i love the brown chorus

  • i think brown or webb would be the best

they might be able to help in their native states

a woman vp would be great, but i don't think it balances out all the positives of the other two possible vp candidates

i think webb might be stronger because if brown's progressivism is viewed negatively by some, it could hurt obama

  • Another great video! Thanks a lot.

  • Sam Nunn or Hagel make the most sense. But if McCain picks a woman, that would hurt O. We'll see.

I like the semi-frequent pics and goofy voices. More please.

    -Rob

  • Thanks Rob. Barack should wait until McCain chooses a VP if possible, to see if Mac does try to capture a demographic.

I talk Hagel in a comment below, but re Nunn, he's a conservative Dem who left office 12 years ago. Barely younger than McCain, he voted against gays in the military, and he's from Georgia, which can't be swung this year. Finally he's a director of Chevron oil.

Good balance doesn't mean different positions; it means different qualifications. Nunn's profile undermines Baracks.

  • tube=RON PAUL PUBLICLY NAMES ( NEO CONS ) NEO CONSERVATIVES

  • tube=The Difference: Barack Obama & Ron Paul

  • tube that 1 =Ron Paul Is Better Than Obama, McCain, And Hillary

  • youtube that July 12, 2008: Ron Paul Revolution March on Washington D.C.-this land belongs to us all and we should look at everyone in the race to pick the best 1 and if there is none then start over with 1s that are dont stand for less.

  • theres some of his ideas

  • o and obama cant have my gun its not only to save me from you but also from my government thats a important thing but obama will take then or try to and we cant have that

  • pauls heath care=Making all medical expenses tax deductible.Eliminating federal regulations that discourage small businesses from providing coverage.Giving doctors the freedom to collectively negotiate with insurance companies and drive down the cost of medical care. Making every American eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA), and removing the requirement that individuals must obtain a high-deductible insurance policy before opening an HSA.

  • can you list the reasons for voting for obama list ever thing he stands for and if you think its the best and why joe if you want to make comments over the fact that i call them retards is no big deal so list why he is the 1 but i know once you do it will be easy to show why paul is better i live with the facts voting history and ideas and friends so start your list and hit me up and thats for anyone not just joe here peace

  • I think you've correctly identified the weaknesses of the former presidential candidates and why none will become Obama's VP choice. Yet, I'm guessing he'll reach into the congress (or find a governor) in a swing state. I don't think the Democrat Party would be best-served by selecting 2 Senators for the ticket. Obama will reach for... Congressmen such as Ben Chandler (KY) or Mark Udall (CO). Just a wild guess. Udall comes with name recognition -- which counts. Obama could take Colorado.

  • Jim Webb

    He has Jeffersonian qualities.

    Obama has Jacksonian qualities.

  • ahhhh I am torn between Sebelius and Webb... ~cries~

  • Jim Webb would be a great running mate

  • i really liked edwards

i think he would make a decent vp, but he should focus on his family

he would be a nice balance (democrats need a dixie vp)

if his wife gets better, i think he would be a good high position holder

i think Mccain would be smart to choose huckabee and go Kennedy/LBJ over the south

but let's be serious, he will probably just pick some high ranking GOP guy who will do nothing for his campaign

  • Sharrod sounds like a woman's name. I think the name made me think of a black woman...or maybe a white woman...hmmm...anyways....interesting points.

  • The unanimity on this thread in support of Webb, myself included, is interesting. Apparently, as much as a lot of us here like Obama, we still feel he has a weakness, & @ least part of that weakness is military gravitas, esp. when put up against war hero Teflon John in what is widely viewed, justly or unjustly, as wartime.

My main reason for support is a bit different. I'm hoping Webb as a choice would strengthen BO's anti-war stance, & maybe drag him toward a faster exit. Anti-war can win.

  • It is interesting. I think I undersold Sherrod, but no support for Sebelius? Maybe that means we think McCain's base is a bigger problem than potential Clinton supporters going Republican.

  • Vote for Ron Paul not for a socialist democrat or liberal rep. if you love this country and its people you'd stay far from them 3 retards

  • I'm sure Dr. Paul would be proud of you.

  • Being an Obama supporter myself. I think Hillary should be the US Attorney General, because she would be aggressive enough to go after those no-bid contractors.

  • Biden?

  • anagrams "in bed".

He's one of those "other choices".

He's also one of the recent losers.

  • thats 60% of "polled" democrats who want Hilary... Geez I hate polls, did they just ask Hillary supporters? I am one supporter of Obama who doesn't want to ever see an Obama/Clinton ticket. I'd like to see Jim (made of metal) Webb, Kathleen (lemon bars)Sebelius (though that WILL prob. piss off the ones who do want Clinton on the ticket) or dare I say it Ron (I'm not really a Republican) Paul for "real change" and a completely different demographic.

  • webb 4 vp all the way

  • Must...increase...disccusion rating...with nonsense

  • I have watched some of your other videos, and I have a question:

Have you spent any time in Virginia? I am from Virginia, and I was there during the Allen-Webb senate race. That election was important to me because I live here. I noticed that you have referenced Allen and Webb, so I'm wondering if that race had a larger impact then just on my state.

  • Physically I've dropped in now and then, but I'm familiar with your politicians because there has been a lot of important change there lately. Beating George Allen is how we won a Senate majority. The super-stardom of Mark Warner will soon turn all your major offices blue.

Virginia has turned into a pivot point for the whole country. So have Colorado and Montana, but to lesser degrees.

  • First of all, you're mistaken on one point. Hillary is perfectly capable of smiling and nodding. She already did it as First Lady, even while the whole country watched her husband get head from other women. She could be a viable Veep.

Second of all, you fail to take into account geographic diversity. First of all, nobody on your short list is from the West. Second, two of the three are from the midwest, as is Obama. If I were him, I'd choose someone from a Coast.

  • Could Hillary be Vice Prez? Yeah. It's not that hard. But people who want to see her actually lead this country should encourage her to lead the Senate.

Any swing state is a good geographic choice if you're trailing there by a closeable margin. Kansas brings nothing geographically, but Ohio brings itself, and that's a lot.

Hey, if you want me to acknowledge the west I'd be happy to. Colorado is prime territory for new blue votes. That'd be a great state to pull from if a great VP is there.

  • Hah you made me laugh at the end there. Very good video, outlined some great options for vp.

Personally I'd go for the guy made of metal.

  • Sen. Obama should hire you as a consultant. Great analysis, little bit to long for the average YouTuber, though.

  • Yeah, I was surprised when I saw how long this one was.

  • /watch?v=VlQki7MiyBQ

hillary robs poor to feed rich self!

How did the Clintons get so rich?

Gen. Wesley Clark of Arkansas for VP.

  • I'm sorry dude, but that video was boring and mostly pointless. She's allowed to fundraise. Her people know what they're getting into. Also Dick Morris is a terrible source for good info. He exists to assassinate his former employers, the Clintons.

  • lemon bars?

  • Just tryin to be funny!

  • I think he needs someone with national security credentials. Webb is a good idea. There will be a strong below-level campaign against Obama questioning his patriotism (see flag lapel, hand over heart, Wright, Ayers, etc).

A national security VP would help smack down such smears.

  • Excellent commentary. You manage to dismiss Clinton w/out resorting to the arguments most people make about her baggage. I agree, she's tempermentally unsuited to be #2.

Of the remaining folks I like Webb, though it may smack too much of trying to get military bona fides for Obama. But he would be excellent in the traditional attack dog role, talking about getting out of the war & veteran's benefits w/ military authority. Maybe all those recently "retired" generals would rally to his flag...

  • Alfa Dog Hillary for sure! Would never work so peeps have got to get over it and look at the real world. Of what I heard and only what I heard just now, Web sounds like the wisest move. Damn Joe, you know your stuff dude! Thanks for giving us other choices I/we didnt know were out there.

  • I agree about Hillary!!!

NOT VICE-PRESIDENT MATERIAL, she wants the limelight (and what to do about Bill?? would he shut up? heck no!!).

Hillary has high negatives among independents and has all kinds of baggage.

I like the idea of geographical balance - a Southerner (Webb) or a Rural/Westerner (Sibelius), so the Dems can't be accused of being Yankee elitists!!!

  • Both would be great, but you have to choose one.

  • Ooh I disagree. I think Wes Clark would be worse than Edwards or Richardson. He lost badly, and it was four years ago, and he's rectified nothing since.

Regarding Chuck Hagel, people on the inside know that bipartisaship, while great, only comes around about 10% of the time. The rest of the time our opinions conflict. Hagel, in particular, gets a Progressive Punch score of 9.5% to Obama's 89%. A supermajority of incompatibility.

  • Billary is too old school to be in Obama's cabinet i.e. not change.

  • ...hillary for VP. heh.

Or that 2nd dude. If he is the super "progressive" like you say that should help keep Obama from fooling people into thinking he can actually unite government or reach across party lines- being the super "progressive" that he himself is.

  • So far:

    Jim Webb - 7

    Kathleen Sebelius - 0

    Sherrod Brown - 0

(Exit poll: Is it because he's made of metal?)

  • I'll take Jim Webb. Military and protection is a huge topic with McCain. Cut out those legs and he has little to nothing to stand on. Add the fact Webb is a more reasonable military man (end war plans and improve GIs benefits) would pull may votes to the Dems side.

  • Sherrod maybe revolutionary in thinking and possibly the best to fit with Obamas policies, yet Republican would have a field day with his name and Left sided thinking. Sebelius......WHO? ok ok she balanced a budget and is a woman, but WHO? KANSAS? wont pick up much with her regardless of her freakin sweet math skills.

  • Very interesting.

  • nice ikea lamp.

oh, and the commentary rules, too.

the issue with webb might be that he's almost too tough - telling gwb to mind his own business when he asked about his son, for example. although i know a lot of dems loved that.

  • He may ruffle feathers. Though I don't know if there are many people out there who would be driven to John McCain out of a desire for gentility.

And there may be a good chunk of crossover voters, people thinking about flipping right now, for whom Webb's style is actually more accessible. Remember how everyone loved his response to SOTU '07? So much for "spineless" Democrats.

  • Awesome delivery. You've got one of the best shows on Youtube, and make excellent, inteligent points.

  • haha Obama Brown 08. Classic.

    -Brent

  • The name combination format prohibits some people completely. There was a guy at my high school with the last name Sinner. He'll never be Vice President.

  • Out of that group, I would pick Webb. Brown is probably too liberal based on your video, and that would put two very liberal candidates on one ticket, something the Republican attack machine would have a field day with. Sebelius sounds very qualified, but you want a VP to deliver a state or region and I don't think she'll do that. I still think he should pick Ed Rendell, that might help him out in PA and OH.

  • If was in Obama's shoes and I had to choose between Jim Webb, Sherrod Brown, and Cathlene Sebelius, I would want Webb on the ticket with me. Why? Because he's "MADE OF METAL", but I'm not sure that he'd want the VP spot any more than Hillary would.

    On Another Note:

    Joe,

I can't express to you just how crystal clear you deliver your points and peak interest. I've told everyone of my friends who are interested in politics about your videos and suggested that they subscribe.

    Keep it up!

  • Thank you, I will.

  • No Problem, you do good work and credit should be given where credit is due.

Here's a question though, do you really believe Webb would accept such an offer from Obama?

  • I think he wants to support his team. The question I don't know about is if he wants to be in a huge national campaign. I heard he doesn't like doing it.

  • I've been waiting for this video! Awesome Informative VideOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Hillary for VP!!! Lets shut the b@#$% up

  • Webb should be choice number one. He has the most to offer the ticket. Great vid, Joe!

  • First 2 votes for Webb!

  • lmao "I'm still white!"

Until I watched this video I was one of the 60% of Democrats who wanted Hillary to run w/ Obama. Mainly because it's pissing me off that she's not gonna get the Dem nod. But you, my man, have made some very valid points and changed my mind. You are right to say that if Hillary wants to really have any effect then it's going to have to be in the Senate...not as VP.

  • And to answer your question...

If I had to choose between Webb, Brown and Sebelius though...I think I would go with Webb. I think strategically, having him on the Dem ticket would be our best bet at kicking McCain's ass. ;)

  • o ya

Webb seems like the most ideal choice because of the way he would be able to challenge McCain's military policies

  • Made of metal.

  • Another entertaining and informative video

    keep up the good work!

  • Yeah I agree with you on Hillary as poor choice for VP. Webb would be my choice, or Sen. Biden, particularly with foreign policy expertise, but Biden did so poorly as a candidate. Webb, yeah, that's sinking in...
