  • This is what music ought to be. Aspirational, uplifting and fun

  • I have an Important Question...

    What Happened to Music ?

  • @FillionDollarSmile I changed with the times and the generation. That's what happened to it.

  • @FillionDollarSmile I don't know I just don't know younger generations got retarded and think that rap is the best thing ever thats all

  • @visguard1234 Not all young people.... im only 16, and i HATE Rap... This music is better !!

  • The greatest feel good SOUL music track in history. Still as fresh and relevant today as it was in 1973. Just love the O'Jays.

  • 18 people aren't riding the love train

  • The O Jays were such a powerful group of talent who wanted people to see that with peace and love we can start a revolution.

  • This song HAS A LOT OF MEANING AND IT IS DIFFERENT TO EVERY PERSON

  • Still sounding good after all this time.Be onteresting if someone could do the 2011 version of this song.

  • This is the '70s. If you want to hear a song with a similar message in an '80s vibe, try caravan of love by the housemartins. Enjoy yourself. Live your life!

  • Always a favorite in my book!

  • If they fighting over what the children were if u look closely there are a few of the bunch that are white

  • Comment removed

  • love is world be kind

  • why did i know there would only be black people in this video?

    more like the racist train.

  • @lester5192 way to go on calling a children running around a circle for a music video a racist train,. im srry but i just cant see white folk in the south in that day and age dancing to a song like this... use ur brain.

  • @iLLC0NCEPTx of course you can not see that for that era, cuz the media has conditioned you to believe all whites in the south there were racist, and you probably wanna believe it too.

black artists in the south then did not make it out of there with fame based on only having a black audience.

besides this video i figured would have all races in it, because of the song title and message.

  • @lester5192 no i dont actually, but what i do know is that there "were" a descent amount of whites in the south in that time frame that were in fact racist. but thats besides the point, this vid could have been made right on the spot in the city were the were primarily black children around. theres probably 100 different reasons why, but we'll never know. all im saying just dont jump on the whole " RACIST " card because theres black ppl in an old music video

  • @iLLC0NCEPTx

I'm from the south, am WHITE, and have always loved this song, have danced to it many times......what a horrible misconception!

  • cute video,love this song

  • 16 people missed the love train

  • @RoryVideos

i get your reference :) lol JUST saw that episode... such a good show

  • this is cool

  • i love those Voices!'Thee' Mighty,Mighty OJays(as some have said) will forever be the Best at what they do because of their vocal "feeling".expression(yes!) and artstic honesty.this is musical integrity mixed into maybe one of the most uplifting, positive songs ever sung in my time or any other.no apologies. always OJays!

  • Too Bad people in the world don't get the real meaning of this song. It's Blacks and Whites sharing a time together in the 70's without bickering and fighting among themselves! If we had, the world wouldn't be in such a mess like it is now.

  • A very nice video. I like it very much.

  • dr.cox was on the love train

  • IF I HIT THE LOTTERY , IM GONNA GET ME A BIG TRAIN LIKE THE ONE IN THE COORS COMMERICAL AND PLAY THIS SONG REAL LOUD AND DRIVE MY TRAIN THROUGH NEIGHBORHOODS AND PARTY LIKE ITS FUCKING NEW YEARS EVERY DAY !! WHILE SMASHING THE TRAIN THROUGH EVERYTHING IN ITS WAY !!! YEA YEA PARTY BITCH !!

  • The 1970's were a great time and then along came the Spawn of Satan --- Ronald Reagan! I wish we could get in a time machine and go back in time and kill him!!!

  • 15 people unfortunately couldn't catch the love train.

  • Woooooo the most appropriate song today as our brothers and sisters in EGYPT are enjoying their FREEDOM right now!!! What a prophectic song!! I'm pumping up the volume!!!!!! Go head Ojays!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @beyondyourveil Actually there is a military dictatorship that banned protesting there.

  • @beyondyourveil Well our bros and sistas in Egypt are now enjoying the joys of a theocratic regime! woohhoo TURN UP THE VOLUME!

  • 15 people who watched this video have never been loved....

  • Thanks, Howard. Sometimes we just need a reminder.

  • Howard Fineman sent me, too. Thanks, Howard.

  • Howard Fineman sent me here.... And I'm glad he did!

  • I love this video...but the sound is so poor.

  • Now more than ever !

  • Too bad they don't do this kind of music anymore :/

  • @danne194

  • @danne194 Agreed...the older generations had it better when it came to music ♥♥

  • John Dorian approves it.

  • very good!!!!

  • Used to go only in the disco bit in 1973 never got as far as the cabaret and dining - it was a small dance floor in front of a bar to the left just inside the doors. Vince had a sawn off hair do and he was very funny comic.

  • Every time i hear this song my day feels much brighter and my anger just goes away

  • Restore sanity!

  • @joshaf26 and/or fear

    STEVEN COLBERT!!!

  • Thumb this up if you came here after hearing it in the Rally to Restore Sanity!

  • I love this song because it was the number-one song in the nation the day Jim Parsons was born. :)

  • LOVE this song. Hard to believe all those kids in this video are now approaching 50 or are alreadythere. Where did the time go?

  • i love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish the world was like this song. GET ON THHE LOVE!!

  • Of all the "isms" in this world, the worst by far is RACISM... This song, a relic to some, is a firm testament that regardless of race, creed, color, etc we are all the same. "People all over the world, join hands, and start a love train"... Sound advice from a group that probably did not realize how big this song has meant to the fabric of our lives. Let's put aside petty, BS differences and celebrate together.

  • Good morning - Good afternoon - Good evening - everybody everywhere in our ONE WORLD - oh yes let's get on this love train - lovely day - 4 we are ONE - brothers and sisters - namaste

  • ILL ALWAYS CHERISH THS SING ITS THE VOICE F A DYING GENERATION it SPREADS ONLY LOVE WHITE PR BLACK IT SAYS IT ALL THANKS O JAYS TOMK doo wop/rocknroll historian

  • What a contrast. Presumably accidental low-fidelity recording/production with a positive/uplifting message. Regardless, they are a great pair (in this case).

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!! YEAH JAMMIN!

  • why do i have this sudden urge to drink a coors light?

  • skinheads wish peace SHARP. neonazis dont the only good nazi is a dead nazi

  • i loved this song

  • I love this song

  • Even though the message and the genres are not the same, this song reminds me of BOB MARLEY'S "Zion Train"

......Oh, people, get on board! (you better get on board!)

Thank the Lord (praise Fari) -

    I gotta catch a train, 'cause there is no other station;

Then you going in the same direction (ooh-ooh).........

But message-wise, it has the same universal appeal as "One Love"

    ....One love, one heart

Let's get together and feel all right

Hear the children crying (One love)....

  • @MrLegwale64

Bob Marley knows shit about peace and love, all he chased was doing drugs and gettin women pregnant ,such a bum!

  • @91137732

How do you know shit about Bob Marley ?

  • @MrLegwale64

Bob M don't eat down de hamburger don play fools game on sunday ....don drink down the yello blue green soda uh huh .

  • @hieronomy

Whatever........ even though your remarks are from Tosh's "Mystic Man."

All you have we have to acknowledge is that black artists in general worked towards a common cause: to show people of the whole world that we are just one. Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready" is another example of the same message.

  • where da white people at

  • @DSmith5964 Look...there they are!!! Over there doing the boogie on the Chattanooga Choo Choo

  • Wonderful song!

  • Its Mardi Gras, We have COORS. Still celebrating. WHO DAT!!!!!!!

  • this is GROOVE

  • gotta love o´jays

  • lol i love this song.

  • This was how races lived together before rap came out.

  • Most rap and hiphop actually promotes racial unity, but most of it is underground. So you shouldn't base your facts on mainstream music.

And in fact... I think race laws were worse in the 1970s than they are now. So technically... couldn't you say that races lived together better AFTER rap came out (even though the two aren't related)? :)

  • Also, doubtful.

  • Care to elaborate? That's not much of a reply...

  • Not hardly.

  • 1973 7 y,o, old listening to this song for the first time and just singing it to the top of my lungs 36 years later, Gamble and Huff the message givers always coming up with the jams.
