I've timed the first 2 minutes of this (couldn't get any further through it) - Neil talks foe 1:10, Farron for 50 seconds. Note to BBC, your interviewers should not be talking for longer than the person they are interviewing.
The Liberal Democrats voted against introducing a minimum wage in 1998 and while in Government in 2010 they voted to treble University fees after attacking Labour for introducing them in the first place. That is all I need to know about what they think of the British people.
"Five years isn't very temporary" - WTF? Is Andrew Neil pretending to be an idiot as a cunning interview technique or is he just a bit.... Temporary; not permanent.
"It's not a divorce then!" - 1) You can get remarried after getting divorced. 2) It's a metaphor FFS!
"You want to be leader don't you" "No" - Yeah, really 'tripped him up' there, kudos.
He totally nailed him on the 'in the 19th century your party supported child labour' stuff though. Your license fee well spent.

They are utter hypocrites for getting in bed with the Tories and they have completely discredited themselves.

I love Tim Farron.

My God Andrew Neil is a terrible interviewer. Of course he's blithering when Neil doesn't let him get a bloody word in!

God, he failed so badly here. I say he is quite suited to the leadership, make sure Lib Dems never get anywhere near power again!

Great, fun interview, but I think he actually comes across quite well in it. For a Liberal Democrat, that's extraordinary.
