So long Billy. As he points out it's important that we remember all those great oz rock bands who created something unique in an increasingly homogenised world. Long live Aztec records!
witch's steal the God spoken name ministry of dreams and alter like reverend jeremy taylor of starr king school of ministry, rebecca ann parker protects like jim garrison, steven stargardter, richard rosen, susan rosen, mary halpern, Jonty Wareing stole the name ministry of dreams to ruin prophet like cluracan of dreamnova, furcadia and katie bazor, david shapiro, lawrence forman, amanda dee, jeff dee, janet mcknight, janetmck, the last-fm, dchandler, starr king school of soothersaying ministry
I have struggled to find the words that express how much I miss this man..I listen to the many records (yes records those black discs that dont fit into cd players )and cd's that I own and I can see him on stage through my smoke filled eyes.(yes smoke remember smoke)and I feel privelaged at having been there..RIP Billy...peace love and happiness brother...
Billy thanks for A long way to the top what a concept I saw it twice, man the last Aztecs set I could feel the bass drum in my chest and you were in full flite. You will still be with us in many ways Love from Australia.
I worked in the same building as Billy. Its crazy standing in the lift with him thinking - will i say hello to him...and the next day his gone. He was a brilliant musician and from what i saw a very genuine person.
My wife and I also saw him late last year at Fairfield RSL doing the first of his new "acoustic shows". He was great. I've been a fan of his since the 60's and his SAurf City days. We went to his memorial service which was very memorable.
Don't talk about hard livin' guys like Jet and Wolfmother. They are amateurs compared to Billy. This guy lived the rock dream from 16 in Kings Cross and was the finest rock and roll star Australia ever produced. He will be sorely missed.

I saw Billy just two weeks ago at Dee Why RSL and now I'm going to his memorial show on Sunday. It's just unbelievable.

Was lucky enough to meet him a couple of times, as did 1000's of others, a very forsceful but nice guy, plenty of balls.
I bought Blue Day when it came out, wish i had looked after it better.
This guy was the genuine article..

Ditto here. HE was as good live as he was in the studio. There are not too many bands around now that can be compared to him. Thorpie Forever
