Friend, our will is not "free". Our will is enslaved to sin - as Martin Luther said, its in "bondage" to sin - The Lord Jesus said "whoever commits sin is a slave to sin".
In fact - the will is chained to the human nature, and only wills that which is in accordance with our nature - and if the human nature is "evil" (as Scripture says), then the will is evil aswell.
@doctorh2005 You are misunderstanding what I mean by free will. I mean the capacity to choose. I am well aware we are in bondage from the get and we are in dire need of a Savior, Jesus Christ. That wasn't my point. I am sure you understand more clearly now. I don't lift up any man (martin luther) or denomination I hold to the Bible and the Bible alone.
Anyway, L. Ray Smith is a heretic who mixes truth with error. The concoction of devils.
@doctorh2005 (cont) It is verses like these as well as others by which we know that Paul was NOT exclusive 1 Timothy 4:10- "for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of ALL MEN -- especially of those BELIEVING.
With regards to Romans 11:7- We know this same ISRAEL was given a spiritual stupor and blindness are also saved therefore salvation is NOT exclusive to the elect. We see in ROMANS 11:26 "and so ALL ISRAEL shall be saved..."
@doctorh2005 cont-If you wanted to be true to the letter as you present with your interpretation, then I would ask you which elect are presently in the heavens? are there space people when Paul is writing?
Furthermore you INTERPRET verses 2TIMOTHY 2:10, TITUS 1:1 and ROMANS 11:7 as teaching that Jesus will save ONLY the elect because Paul is enduring everything for the elect.
@doctorh2005 Hey dude, lets see whether what you are saying is correct.
Colossians 1:20-"and through him to reconcile the all things to himself -- having made peace through the blood of his cross -- through him, whether the things upon the earth, whether the things in the heavens." This verse you say is similar to ephesians 1:10 but unfortnately it is YOU that is reading into the context, because you make it EXCLUSIVE.
Just something..... my Hell's worth of words... not that Jesus really came to die for all on earth or even EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN. Hmmm..... (Emphasis mine)
Then I get baby/toddler like and ask very simple questions - IF God has all this power to save some against their choice??? Then why not EVERYONE?? Here God makes sense of his Soveriengty where Reformed Theology mocks the plan of God... why Elect some? There must be a reason..yes? Paul explains it in his writings.. one book is "Romans", another is "Ephesians", "Galations", Ect.
/// IF God has all this power to save some against their choice??? ///
Before you continue, this is a straw man - Calvinism nowhere says that man doesnt have a "choice".
On the contrary - man DOES make choices - but always the WRONG choices. It's only when God gives Him a new heart with new desires that He suddenly loves God and seeks Him and believes unto salvation.
/// Then why not EVERYONE?? ///
Simply because it pleased God (decretively) that only some be saved.
Correction... there are some examples in scriptures where humans have made choices and ONLY then God saw it... their choices.. NOT that is was first given by God. You actually could see it written all over the pages of the OT and NT... but for a reason. No strawman position when I responded.. just realizing the scriptures. I too believe in choices... but I know where this will go... and earlier on you should have noticed that men can change without your definitionl.
/// Correction... there are some examples in scriptures where humans have made choices and ONLY then God saw it... their choices.. NOT that is was first given by God ///
Nope - JOHN 6:44... "NO ONE can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. " Human beings are "by nature" children of wrath and haters of God (being permenantly fixed in that position since the fall) and the only way that someone comes to Christ is if it is "given by God" - as Lydia was in ACTS 16:14.
Simply put... God is indeed Sovereign... Has ALL power ( since he created everything)... but for a reason.. LOVE.. and even if one thing strays out of his plan... he simply has the power to find that straying thing.. out of HIS love.... simple enough? It's not only biblical but scientific, real to life, discoveabke on many levels... Calvinism simple states that God Hates many but loves only a minimal... EVEN though YOUR god can save all but chooses not too. Sad but true.
/// God is indeed Sovereign... but for a reason.. LOVE.. ///
Where does it say that in the Bible?
Have you forgotten.... God is not only Love, He is also Holy, and Righteous, and Just and True - and yet... He many times shows desires for things that He did not decree to happen.
Also - God's ultimate plan isnt to do with us, but rather His GLORY. He loves His "GLORY", He created us "for His GLORY", and God glorified when either sinners are saved or left to receive justice.
/// he simply has the power to find that straying thing.. out of HIS love.... simple enough? ///
For His love for Christ and for those elected "chosen in Him".
God does not salvifically love us in and of our selves - for we are "children of the devil, at emnity with God, and under the wrath and condemnation of God" because of our sinfulness - God ultimately loves only those who are clothed with Christ, and only because He sees not ourselves, but Christ.
/// Calvinism simple states that God Hates many but loves only a minimal... ///
Actually thats not wholly true - you gotta distinguish between God's "SALVIFIC / REDEMPTIVE" love (towards the elect), and God's "BENEVOLENT" lovingkindness/goodness extended towards all people without exception during this lifetime (expressed in the sun, the rain and fruitful seasons, His goodness which is meant to lead sinners to repent - but they don't, and are rendered without excuse.)
/// YOUR god can save all but chooses not too ///
The word "decree" is more accurate then "choose". God "decreed". God certainly has the ability to do anything according to His nature, but He has "decreed" not to save all - and He still gets all the glory aswell - He gets glorified in His divine attributes of "mercy", "grace" and "lovingkindness" when He saves someone, and gets glorified in His "justice", "Holiness" and "righteousness" when He sends criminals to their destruction
This is one of those many times in the Christian's life, when the Lord Jesus says "You do not understand now, but afterward you will understand." (see JOHN 13:7)
Or as Paul would tell you... "For now we see in a mirror dimly" (1Cor. 13:12)
Univeralism creates the same strawman that I am speaking of...but they make this strawman creation as meaninful. What I am doing is burning down your strawman.... and creating a new piggy house build on solid stuff. :)
You, apparently don't understand Universalism enough to speak about it.. or even go the extent to critisize it.
/// Univeralism creates the same strawman that I am speaking of...but they make this strawman creation as meaninful. What I am doing is burning down your strawman.... and creating a new piggy house build on solid stuff. :) ///
Yes. What you did is not only misrepreseted the logical focus of Universalism (thus I call you partial Universalist - you will get it some day) but you also mispresented the Pauline teaching of election. The only strawman I had to burn down was your idea of what this election means in the JEWISH term. That is your challenge.... YOU don't know how to explain THAT. But maybe a couple days you will come up with something outside your western thinking?
And how does REV 5:9 fit into your belief system? I will show you how this is westernized... expecially when quoting from the book of Rev. So.. go ahead and explain. I don't make sense because it is westernized for you by many writers who don't understand how Jews really understand THIS book. I should get back to your main point, though, which is very faulty.
/// And how does REV 5:9 fit into your belief system? ///
From the language itself.
REVELATION 5:9 says "for You were slain, and by Your blood You ransomed people for God FROM every tribe and [FROM every] language and [FROM every] people and [FROM every] nation"
This correlates to the Doctrine of "Limited Atonement" - Christ paid for in full NOT for the sins every single human being, but only for those who put their trust in Him alone.
But I want to respond to this video in one other specific way... I've debated with this idea of the "elect" and the Calvinists/Spurgeonites/Reformed thinkers cannot understand one thing.... they are actually PARTIAL Universalists. Why? Believe it or not.. Universalists actually believe that God has an elect.. but FOR A REASON. I asked many Reformed believers why God has this plan and cannot answer this question. The ONLY difference is that Universalists understand why God chooses some now.
/// Universalists actually believe that God has an elect ///
They may "say" they believe that, but their whole false ideology isnt consistent with Scripture.
/// I asked many Reformed believers why God has this plan ///
There are some things that can never be answered fully or fully comprehended - they are called "Mysteries" - e.g. the relationship between Christ and his Church is called a "mystery" (EPHESIANS 5:32, ROM.11:25, 1COR.4:1, 15:51)
/// The ONLY difference is that Universalists understand why God chooses some now. ///
Actually Scripture tells us that God does all things according to the counsel of His eternal WILL - so the most anyone can say is that "God was simply pleased to order it that way". Anything else is mere speculation.
Sir doctorh2005 is describing a view called St. Augustine/Calvinism/Spurgeon/Reformed Theology - and whatever it's future name will be. The problem? Many. The first obvious one is that the "bible" as we now have it has changed so many times. It currently needs to be revised, etc... history of the bible shows this fact.
/// the "bible" as we now have it has changed so many times. It currently needs to be revised ///
Actually the Bible has changed extremely little - contrary to popular opinion. With the finding of thousands of copies of manuscripts around the time of the originals, there are less than one percent of whats known as "textual variants", and this tiny percentage doesnt alter any doctrine the Christian Church has known throughout history.
Ephesians6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,but against "principalities",against "powers"against the rulers of the darkness of this world,against spiritual wickedness in high places.1col:16For by Him were all things created,that are in Heaven, and that are in earth,visible&invisible,whether they be "thrones",or "dominions" or "principalites" or "powers": all things were created by Him and for Him.20And having made peace through the blood of His cross by HIM to reconcile all things.
That is where those who believe in reconciliation for all things through the cross - includes all heavenly beings too...ie principalities,dominions,thrones etc...which are supernatural beings having rebelled against God. Im not sure what I think about this, but Im showing you where this comes from... frankly, it does make sense.
/// 16For by Him were all things created,that are in Heaven, and that are in earth,visible&invisible,whether they be "thrones",or "dominions" or "principalites" or "powers": all things were created by Him and for Him ///
Yes - For HIS GLORY.
And God is glorified when sinners are cast into Hell for eternal punishment - to the glory of His justice, His wrath, and His righteousness.
Universalism doesnt stand when confronted with the rest of scripture.
/// Where in scripture is the Lord God GLORIFIED by sinners burning in hell?
Rom 9:22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,
Rev 19:3 Once more they cried out, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever."
Rev 19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!"
@doctorh2005 That is NOT glorifying God in hell. Where in scripture do we KNOW for certain that those burning in hell, in perpetual torment, give God glory? show me please.
/// Where in scripture do we KNOW for certain that those burning in hell, in perpetual torment, give God glory? ///
You've changed your question now! You originally asked "Where in scripture is it supported that the Lord God is GLORIFIED by/through sinners burning in hell?"
God is not glorified/worshipped by the sinners THEMSELVES, but by ALL OF CREATION watching! They glorify God's justice and righteousness and judgements, as REV.19:3-4 and REV.16:5 so clearly tell us.
@doctorh2005 I wasn't trying to "deceive" you and if you think I was, then Im sorry. But what I'd like you to support by scripture is God being Glorified by sinners burning in hell? And you have not given me any. You give me scriptures about wrath and judgement. but none about hell, burning hell for all eternity. Im not seeing it. Yes, God is righteous and will JUDGE and those whose names are NOT written in the book of life are thrown into the lake of fire and this is the second death - GONE.
/// what I'd like you to support by scripture is God being Glorified by sinners burning in hell? And you have not given me any ///
You totally misunderstood what I said - I said that in the very same way a good judge is "praised" for sending a murderer to prison, God is likewise praised and glorified when He does so.
Rev 6:10 They cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before You will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?
@doctorh2005 Col 1:16 ALL things were created by Him and for Him.20And having made PEACE through the blood of His cross by HIM to RECONCILE ALL THINGS. In light of reading the entire of Col 1:16 on to verse 20... when ALL THINGS SHALL BE RECONCILED TO HIM.. what do you believe God means by that? How can people in hell be reconciled to Him if they are unrepentant? This is where I understand that there will be universal RECONCILIATION through the cross of Jesus Christ for ALL THINGS for ALL SIN.
@doctorh2005 YEA RIGHT I'm jealous. NOT. You just can't stand some of my comments that trashes your pretty little disgusting pathetic absurd sissy doctrine so you delete them. Your so lame.
@phillip78 I've seen your handling of scripture and like all universalists, it would make Joel Osteen blush. Someone should tie you to a chair and read the bible to you IN CONTEXT. You'd be squeeling like a pig in no time.
@phillip78 Because I happen to be watching this fellow's video and saw your sniveling comments? I know, you're bold on your own videos where you can block people who oppose you.
@phillip78 That's fine, I was originally just pointing out the fact that only people that schmooze you and agree with your universalist crap are allowed to comment on your videos. so stop acting like a woman!
@phillip78 See, you can make you little videos with your Joel Osteen like use of scriptures that are ripped out of context like all of your lying ilk do but when people come along and present detrimental objections they get blocked. Oh I'm sure you'll say that I didn't give any good objections but that's the typical reaction I get from you uni-scums because your all allergic to context.
@phillip78 You were probably raised to get your theology from a coffee mug at the christian bookstore or Veggie Tales. I'm not suprised that using context is so offensive to you.
@gtrjunky I could very well choose not to block someone just the same. But just cause somone dont get blocked, means nothing. Doc has redbeetle blocked, so right back at ya.
Why do I delete them??? For the simple reason of keeping my comments in order and tidy. As you notice, I take every comment apart, piece by piece, making a FULL QUOTATION and then rebutting it.
There isnt anything missed out, as you know (obviously apart from the Ad Hominem bits).
So I am fully in the right regardless of what you personally think! :-)
/// Another irrational statement forn someone who is obviously a calvinist.///
Did you know that Satan hates Calvinism too?
He hates it, because his plan of getting EVERYONE lost in hell is confuddled - that he can't lay a hold on Christ's SHEEP (JOHN 10:29-29), because they are protected and preserved by the power of God (1PETER 1:5).
God wins in the end, and even those who are cast into hell are being done so because it was God's ETERNAL PURPOSE to begin with! (1PETER 2:8)
@doctorh2005 God wins in the end but most will suffer eternally. Interesting mathmatics there bucko. Where did you go to school, and since when did death in Ro. 6:23 become life of suffering??? Only in religion do simple words lose their simple means.
/// God wins in the end but most will suffer eternally ///
Yes - God gets glorified in His MERCY, GRACE, and KINDNESS when He saves some, and He also gets glorified in His JUSTICE, SOVEREIGNTY, WRATH, AND HOLINESS when He chooses to leave the rest of the wicked criminals to get what they deserve.
God is entirely just in doing so, becuase THEY were the ones who WILLFULLY SINNED - not Him.
God will get what He originally intended from the beginning - GLORY.
@doctorh2005 God will get what he originally intended. You say Jesus only died for elect. You this god you worship has intended for peole to suffer forever. This gd you worship need to be in a mental hospital
/// So the number of likes and dislikes determines if it is truth or not now? ///
Did he SAY that truth is determined by majority vote?? No he clearly didnt! Stop putting words into his mouth then you hypocritical heretic. Is that all you have to substantiate your views? To slander people?
Surely your father, the father of Lies, would do the same thing, which is not surpising really.
/// Would you beat your own child for 3 days straight Einstein ///
I know where you are going with this, but your entire argument of "well if YOU wouldnt do it, then why do you expect GOD to do it" absolutely crumbles when you read verses like.....
/// But murder would be considered merciful compared to what you endorse ///
You are thinking more about MAN than you should be thinking about GOD.
Sin may be temporary, but GOD'S MAJESTY ISNT! God is ETERNAL!
If sin could be punished by a mere "burning in fire for a few minutes, WHAT WAS THE POINT IN SENDING HIS OWN SON TO DIE A BRUTAL DEATH UPON A CROSS????? You are not making SENSE!
@doctorh2005 You are worse than a murderer. Hitler is merciful compared to you. You have a surprise coming very soon, and this conversation will be the first thing that pops into your mind.
In case you forgot, I'M not the one who will be carrying out the "eternal punishment" upon those in Hell, so why does believing Scripture make me a murderer???? LOL.
/// Take heed to the words of your own mouth. They could not be more true. ///
Well isnt that funny... coming from the lips of someone who teaches that "God is tooo 'loving' to cause any harm to His creatures". What a hypocrite u are!
/// You will remember this conversation ///
If you are right, then nothing will happen to me.... but if I am right (which I am), then you have lost ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING (for all eternity).
@doctorh2005 100% opposite of the thinking and faith of the Centurion. The Centurion in Matthew 8 used his faith to benefit someone else. Your faith is used to condemn billions. 100% anti christ. Your belief = zero faith in the power of Christ. You said it yourself, billions will be lost right? Zero faith in God's plan. LOL! The miracle is you don't see it. You think you are on God's side. Billions will be lost = God's side? You're not worshiping what you think you are.
If you say "by Christians", that is absolute garbage - Christian's do not condemn, but exhort to repentance.
If you say "by God", then that is absolutely TRUE - God is a Judge (PSALM 7:11), and we are all CRIMINALS in His sight (ROMANS 3:23), deserving nothing but eternal damnation (ROMANS 6:23).
/// 100% opposite of the thinking and faith of the Centurion. The Centurion in Matthew 8 used his faith to benefit someone else ///
Thats a false association fallacy - or the "Apples and Oranges" Fallacy.
This passage has ABSOLUTLELY NOTHING to do with the SPIRITUAL/ETERNAL condition of man, but rather just the PHYSICAL condition (the guy was healed of PHYSICAL disease and not his SPIRITUAL disease).
Tell me where someone was saved from hell, by SOMEONE "ELSES" faith!
/// Your belief = zero faith in the power of Christ. You said it yourself, billions will be lost right? Zero faith in God's plan. ///
What you said above is disproved by the fact that it was NEVER God's eternal DECRETIVE WILL to save every single human being who ever lived...
Read the words of the Saviour Himself!....
"I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR MY SHEEP" - HIS "SHEEP" (John 10:15)... Now, is EVERYONE Christ's "SHEEP"??? NO! Go to verse 26 of the same chapter! (John 10:26).
@doctorh2005 Read 1 Corinthians 15:22 and Romans 5 KJV. It's fine. You've been shown the true gospel and chose the gospel of mass destruction. After all, revelation said you would ride the dragon. But your knee will bow
/// Romans 12:20, "If your enemy is thirsty, give him water?" Will not God obey His own word? ///
And He does - Us Calvinists call it "common grace" - but unfortunately, for those who are not His people, God only pours out His gifts of common grace to them in THIS life only. After that, its all down-hill bigtime - afteral, they are CRIMINALS and God is a Judge. Their day of reckoning must come sooner or later.
"Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." - Matthew 11:11
There's only one way this can happen. The universalists are close to being right.
I was perplexed as to why you got all of the negative ratings, so I came back to check out the comments. The majority of the ratings are nothing more than Humanists in a 'Christian' cloak. I would highly recommend you people to go on SermonAudio and check out speaker Paris Reidhead and listen to ''Ten Shekles and a Shirt''. You can also hear excerpts on YouTube. It's about God guy and not about you. Voddie Baucham's ''Who Do You Think You Are?'' on Romans 9 is excellent too.
@theocratickingdom30 Epic fail = Forgiveness of all mankind's sins.........More twisted math. According to you, victory = mass destruction of Adam's children.
Your own words expose the heart. People who endorse eternal suffering are more dangerous than the Illuminati ever dreamed of being. Murder is merciful compared to what you endorse. Of course you can't possibly grasp this because you've been taught and believe that evil = good and good = evil. Mercy on all = evil to you. Your own words.
/// "Great news everyone!! Most will be lost and suffer alive in hell for eternity!! ///
Actually that is great news for God's Justice and Majesty - because God's Majesty (which has been infinitely offended by sin) is being eternally and infinitely VINDICATED when those wicked criminals are being JUSTLY punished for their sins against God.
Most will be JUSTLY lost and will JUSTLY suffer alive in hell for eternity.
The word "justly" makes quite a difference doesnt it?
Btw, the Good News is only "Good" for those who see their eternal destiny (Hell), but take the preacher's advice to "FLEE TO CHRIST FROM THE WRATH TO COME".
Btw... Jesus said "broad is the way that leads to death and MANY (aka, "most") find it"
So you are going against Jesus' words, not mine. :-)
If God under any circumstances, wills the endless misery of a human soul, in what does He differ from Satan? You think about this real hard. This is my final comment. Be well.
@doctorh2005I'll reword my question. If God allows any man to suffer forever, how does God differ from Satan? Your not being honest. There is NO difference. God wills that ALL be saved [PERIOD] 1 Tim 2:4 Not just elect. Calvinist cannot have their belief without ADDING to 1 Tim 2:4.
@doctorh2005 Now that we know what God wills, what do you will? What you bind in earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loose in earth will be loosed in heaven. As in Adam all die......All die....All die. See the key in 1 Corinthians 15:22? DIE. What does die mean. This CORRUPTIBLE must put on incorruption. Corruptible is the key word here. Can a leopard change his spots? The Centurion in Matthew 8 had more faith than the entire Christian church today. Church faith = Most will be lost
/// Now that we know what God wills, what do you will? ///
Fallacy of Irrelevance.
/// What you bind in earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loose in earth will be loosed in heaven.///
That verse is talking about Church DISCIPLINE - and nothing else.
/// As in Adam all die ///
Yes - all who are ultimately in Adam (the reprobate) will die the second death, but all who are ultimately "in Christ" (i.e. the elect) will receive eternal life.
Greek for contend ἀγωνίζομαι agōnizomai ag-o-nid'-zom-ahee From G73; to struggle, literally (to compete for a prize), figuratively (to contend with an adversary), or generally (to endeavor to accomplish something): - FIGHT, labor fervently, strive.
Satan doesn't need to be saved! He is a tool of God. He was created to be exactly what he is! By the way, what verses do you know of that proves 'the saved' will be in heaven?
/// Satan doesn't need to be saved! He is a tool of God. He was created to be exactly what he is! ///

This video has more dislikes than likes, which proves one thing: The world (and much of what calls itself christianity) Hates "context" lol. Keep preaching it brother!
@doctorh2005 You would like? No you wouldn't you want to fight about it. But just in case you really are seeking, all that you need to know can be found here at bibletruthsdotcom
They ignore Col 1:21-23. Also, the word ''reconcile'' in the Greek means ''to change'', or to ''exchange''. The NT also refers the same Greek word in Romans 5:10; 2 Cor. 5:18-21. According to one commentary the text of Col 1:20 in '''all things'' teaches that all will ultimately submit in the end. Good video brother. I gave you a thumbs up.

He loves His "GLORY", He created us "for His GLORY", and God glorified when either sinners are saved or left to receive justice.
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// even if one thing strays out of his plan... ///
Nothing can stray out of His plan - otherwise He wouldn't be God!
For God has "decreed/ordained//purposed/planned" everything from "before the foundation of the world" (Ephesians 1:11, 1:5, Matthew 11:25-26).
Even the fall and WW2 were in His divine "plan/purpose".
All have "strayed/fallen" not from His "plan", but from His "perfection/glory" (Romans 3:23)
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// he simply has the power to find that straying thing.. out of HIS love.... simple enough? ///
For His love for Christ and for those elected "chosen in Him".
God does not salvifically love us in and of our selves - for we are "children of the devil, at emnity with God, and under the wrath and condemnation of God" because of our sinfulness - God ultimately loves only those who are clothed with Christ, and only because He sees not ourselves, but Christ.
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// Calvinism simple states that God Hates many but loves only a minimal... ///
Actually thats not wholly true - you gotta distinguish between God's "SALVIFIC / REDEMPTIVE" love (towards the elect), and God's "BENEVOLENT" lovingkindness/goodness extended towards all people without exception during this lifetime (expressed in the sun, the rain and fruitful seasons, His goodness which is meant to lead sinners to repent - but they don't, and are rendered without excuse.)
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// YOUR god can save all but chooses not too ///
The word "decree" is more accurate then "choose". God "decreed". God certainly has the ability to do anything according to His nature, but He has "decreed" not to save all - and He still gets all the glory aswell - He gets glorified in His divine attributes of "mercy", "grace" and "lovingkindness" when He saves someone, and gets glorified in His "justice", "Holiness" and "righteousness" when He sends criminals to their destruction

doctorh2005 6 months ago

But maybe a couple days you will come up with something outside your western thinking?
zagzagel7 5 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// you also mispresented the Pauline teaching of election.///
How did I do that?
/// your idea of what this election means in the JEWISH term ///
What do you mean "Jewish"? The total number of the elect consists people taken "from every tribe and language and people and nation," (REVELATION 5:9)
Its nothing to do with "western thinking", but Scripture.
You dont make sense sorry.
doctorh2005 5 months ago
@doctorh2005
And how does REV 5:9 fit into your belief system? I will show you how this is westernized... expecially when quoting from the book of Rev. So.. go ahead and explain. I don't make sense because it is westernized for you by many writers who don't understand how Jews really understand THIS book. I should get back to your main point, though, which is very faulty.
zagzagel7 5 months ago
@zagzagel7
He ransomed people "FROM" every nation.
doctorh2005 5 months ago
But I want to respond to this video in one other specific way... I've debated with this idea of the "elect" and the Calvinists/Spurgeonites/Reformed thinkers cannot understand one thing.... they are actually PARTIAL Universalists. Why? Believe it or not.. Universalists actually believe that God has an elect.. but FOR A REASON. I asked many Reformed believers why God has this plan and cannot answer this question. The ONLY difference is that Universalists understand why God chooses some now.
zagzagel7 6 months ago
@zagzagel7
/// Universalists actually believe that God has an elect ///
They may "say" they believe that, but their whole false ideology isnt consistent with Scripture.
/// I asked many Reformed believers why God has this plan ///
There are some things that can never be answered fully or fully comprehended - they are called "Mysteries" - e.g. the relationship between Christ and his Church is called a "mystery" (EPHESIANS 5:32, ROM.11:25, 1COR.4:1, 15:51)
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@zagzagel7

It currently needs to be revised, etc... history of the bible shows this fact.
zagzagel7 6 months ago
@zagzagel7

Yes - For HIS GLORY.
And God is glorified when sinners are cast into Hell for eternal punishment - to the glory of His justice, His wrath, and His righteousness.
Universalism doesnt stand when confronted with the rest of scripture.

They glorify God's justice and righteousness and judgements, as REV.19:3-4 and REV.16:5 so clearly tell us.
doctorh2005 6 months ago
@doctorh2005 I wasn't trying to "deceive" you and if you think I was, then Im sorry. But what I'd like you to support by scripture is God being Glorified by sinners burning in hell? Yes, God is righteous and will JUDGE and those whose names are NOT written in the book of life are thrown into the lake of fire and this is the second death - GONE.

@LambAndTheDragon: Epic fail in your misrepresentation due to you being so anthropocentric.
theocratickingdom30 10 months ago
@theocratickingdom30 Epic fail = Forgiveness of all mankind's sins.........More twisted math. According to you, victory = mass destruction of Adam's children.
Your own words expose the heart. People who endorse eternal suffering are more dangerous than the Illuminati ever dreamed of being. Murder is merciful compared to what you endorse. Of course you can't possibly grasp this because you've been taught and believe that evil = good and good = evil. Mercy on all = evil to you. Your own words.

/// If we being evil can forget the wicked's sins, how much more God than we? ///
You are contradicted by PSALM 50:21.... "you thought that I was one like yourself."

HAHAHA! How does that come about???

@LambAndTheDragon
The word "justly" makes quite a difference doesnt it?
doctorh2005 10 months ago
Let's show some simple math equations keeping in mind that "Gospel" is Greek for "Good news."
2+2 = 5 =
Good news = Most will be lost =
Babylon = Confusion by mixture =
Trying to make 2 opposite statements equal
Who would "Most will be lost" be good news to? The self righteous? The wicked?
More hideous church math = Mercy, love, and justice = Eternal suffering
Do I need say any more. You now know who Babylon is using simple math equations. To the church, good = evil Isaiah 5:20 is you
LambAndTheDragon 10 months ago
@LambAndTheDragon
/// Good news = Most will be lost ///
No thats the OTHER SIDE OF the Good News.
doctorh2005 10 months ago
@LambAndTheDragon
/// Who would "Most will be lost" be good news to? ///
God.
Most will be JUSTLY "lost".
The act of becoming "eternally lost" is an act of God known as "Retributive Justice" - they are "eternally CONDEMNED".
And you are currently heading there my friend.
/// Mercy, love, and justice = Eternal suffering///
Mercy, Grace and Lovingkindness = Elect
Justice, Wrath, Just Judgement = Reprobate.

@LambAndTheDragon
/// To the church, good = evil ///
Appeal to Morality Fallacy.
Evil, according to who's standard???
According to the Bible, "evil/sin" = TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW (1 JOHN 3:4). What Law states "God shall not do as He decides with His creatures"?
doctorh2005 10 months ago
If God under any circumstances, wills the endless misery of a human soul, in what does He differ from Satan? You think about this real hard. This is my final comment. Be well.
phillip78 10 months ago
@phillip78
/// If God under any circumstances, wills the endless misery of a human soul, in what does He differ from Satan?///
(1) You are commiting the Equivocation fallacy - God BENEVOLENTLY wills all to be saved, but He DECRETIVELY wills only the elect to be saved.
(2) Would God be a "SINNER" to "decree" millions to endless torment?
If you say yes, then what Law states "God cannot do as He wills with His own creatures"?
(Because "sin" is the "TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW" [1JOHN 4:3])
doctorh2005 10 months ago
@doctorh2005I'll reword my question. If God allows any man to suffer forever, how does God differ from Satan? Your not being honest. There is NO difference. God wills that ALL be saved [PERIOD] 1 Tim 2:4 Not just elect. Calvinist cannot have their belief without ADDING to 1 Tim 2:4.
phillip78 10 months ago
@phillip78
/// I'll reword my question. If God allows any man to suffer forever, how does God differ from Satan? ///
(1) God doesn't "Allow" anything - everything that happens, happens because God DECREED it to happen. He is in total Sovereign control
(2) There are two kinds of suffering - JUST suffering (Luke 16:24) and UNJUST suffering (1Peter 2:20)
Any suffering that God causes is JUST - because He is a Judge, and they are criminals being PUNISHED eternally for their sins- 1Thess1:9

/// God wills that ALL be saved ///
Yes He BENEVOLENTLY wills/desires that all be saved - EZEKIEL 33:11
but
He DECRETIVELY wills that only the ELECT be saved - cf. MATTHEW 11:25-26 (also cf. JOHN 10:15&26)
doctorh2005 10 months ago

Yes - all who are ultimately in Adam (the reprobate) will die the second death, but all who are ultimately "in Christ" (i.e. the elect) will receive eternal life.
doctorh2005 10 months ago
@LambAndTheDragon
/// This CORRUPTIBLE must put on incorruption. ///
Paul is here talking about what will happen to the ELECT - not the reprobate.
/// Can a leopard change his spots? ///
Your point being?
/// The Centurion in Matthew 8 had more faith than the entire Christian church today. Church faith = Most will be lost ///
Huhh??? That doesnt even make SENSE. What are you trying to say????

Greek for contend ἀγωνίζομαι agōnizomai ag-o-nid'-zom-ahee From G73; to struggle, literally (to compete for a prize), figuratively (to contend with an adversary), or generally (to endeavor to accomplish something): - FIGHT, labor fervently, strive.

Fight? The word is "CONTEND" - (Jude 3)
Infact, I INSIST that you give me an snwer for it - as you claim you know the answer.
I will continue to debunk your ideology one verse as a time if I have to - inspite of whether you believe or not.
