It had not been used in 45 years, low clearance & a bottle neck where the abutments encroached into the street. It made a four lane north south street a two lane street at that point. Project had been planned years ago, funded just recently.

Is there a steam locomotive in your neighborhood which requires scrapping? Would you like to be a part of the crew? Just need your identification, tax number, utility clothing, safety briefing & cutting torch. The hydraulic shear we use & the claw equipment to tear them apart will be there when you remove some of the junk!

@Paraffinmeister We have many locations we work from. Some on the west coast, some in the midwest area & two on the east coast. I do a fair amount of scrapping all over the country. No, steam locomotives are not many to scrap here, but when they come my way, we do the job!

The steam locomotive firebox makes a extremly hot fire whether buring coal, oil, wood, bibles or Quorans, However, the steam boiler of steam locomotives are extraordinarily inefficient. All should be junked!
