casey sabol was singer for periphery for a time, he also has a pretty great voice, a decent scream. this probably means nick wanted to stay on the heavier side (possibly djent? :D), and he probably felt he didn't want get scared to be heading towards that more poppy, softer sound, so he's getting out of it before he's in a spot he doesn't wanna be in.
I wont lie, I think it sounds like a completely different band now... Still wont lie, I like it. I don't think it's the "end" of Get Scared. Maybe the old get scared.... Now it's a new one :) And as for blessthefall, Escape The Fate etc. I think it's the same deal. Don't look at it as better or worse, they're pretty much just different bands now =/

@Boxerbabe30 Don't be too sure of that. the lead singer isn't everything in a band and as long as the new singer has a good voice and the rest of the band can continue writing great music, then the fans don't have anything to worry about :) Remember when everyone thought Chiodos would fail without Craig but they ended up putting out a great album and many of the fans began to prefer the new singer(Brandon) to Craig.
I will miss Nick a lot but Get Scared will be fine. They already have a new singer and are about to record a new album and I am fucking excited for it <3

Honestly, if Nick left for musical reasons, maybe he'll do better than he did in Get Scared. That was an amazing up-coming band, but some artists do better on their own. Look at Sonny Moor, he left From First To Last, did his own solo, and then became Skrillex and is doing better then he ever did. I hope that all is good with the members and i wish Nick the best of luck

Everyone needs to stop blaming Lexus for Nick leaving. I'm not a huge fan of her myself, but that doesn't mean she made Nick leave. He left on his own accord, stop pinning the blame on someone who had nothing to do with the situation. It's getting ridiculous seeing all of the, "It's because of that fucking whore, Lexus!" posts. Leave the girl alone, people.

I've liked Get Scared but never really followed them. Sad to hear Nick is leaving, hope he can / will continue singing. I do like his voice / vocals.

Nick left cause of his stupid girlfriend! Nicks gonna regret this decision. Get scared isnt gonna be the same, and i personally think Nick wont be good by himself. Who know maybe both will get better! We cant say much. And there is bad blood, Johnny posted something on twitter saying "Please dont send me anything like this anymore please" and it was a picture of him and Nick. And nick answered a question on formspring that the "bad blood" wasnt coming from him...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the "death threats" were towards his current girlfriend LEXUS AMANDA. I don't know what happened but I was actively tweeting WHEN nick tweeted he's leaving. Yes, the band WAS shocked because Johnny seems a bit ticked off by his tweets and He's not giving Lexus any sympathy. I wouldn't say that makes himself look like a dick.His singing is actually decent.If he ever lived in japan, I wouldn't mind taking him to karoke with my friends.Plus, singing frequently in videos isn't exactly what most people would say makes a person look like a dick. It just means they like to sing.It's a "so what" kind of thing.Don't like, just ignore it or skip the part.I'm pretty sure if it's he likes doing, nothing's really going to change that. :)

It's really pissing me the fuck off that everyone thinks this is Lexus' fault. I admit, I don't particularly like her, but I don't hate her either. Nick left Get Scared because he wants to work on a solo project. Lexus doesn't seem to have anything to do with that.

well.. nick is an idiot.. when you're in a famous band you don't leave because of your girlfriend. i mean look at the word alive, telle almost left because of a girlfriend he had when he first joined but he got his shit together and he's still with twa and lexus is conning nick into this. one day he's going to wake up and realize what he did was a mistake. but there isnt going to be anybody who will have a willing shoulder to cry on.

I don't think this is the end of Get Scared. At all. I think they'll pull an Escape the Fate and replace Nick. Sure they might lose some fans but if they only liked Get Scared for Nick then they weren't great fans to begin with. And as far as Nick and his career I wish him the best and I do believe he'll do well. He has a good fanbase and an amazing voice. This sucks but maybe it'll mean 2 great bands instead of just 1. <3 hope it works out for the better, regardless.
