no, they don't appear happy (funny). they appear to be bored out of their brains. the zoo they live in could do alot better for deze gorillas by giving them a few hectares of land to live in with lots of grass and klimming pole (trees). that would be a start......

animals are far better off caged (usualy they're actualy kept in a wide open area designed to simulate they'r wildlife habitat) they get plenty of food, good medical care and not to mention they also dont get shot by hunters.

Its like putting a domestic dog in the woods and expecting it to know how to catch food and take care of preditors. Most zoos now have rules and regulations that they need to follow to make sure the animals have lots of room and freedom
