ok so i have a question i personal dont think it is but i have heard from people that think live feeding is bad because your snake can get hurt but i have seen my friends feed their snakes live and never get hurt 1 of them have a Burmese pythons and the other has 2 ball pythons im looking into getting a ball pythons any tips for me?
@explorer617 , I have known mice or rats to injure the snakes. As long as you keep a good eye out for your animals, live feeding is okay. I don't leave the feeders in for very long, the snake has a few minutes before i take the feeder out and try again another day. Burms do well with frozen thawed mice. Ball pythons are picky eaters and really like live food. Hope this helps.
@OGSCRAPS , about 8 months. My buddies Lesser went off food for 10 months. Not sure why these snakes do that. But its very normal for them to go off food.
@pastelballpython , Thanks! the second is actually a spider though.. She does have a stripe down her back... Some people call them striders... But ya, she is awesome, thanks again! ...
Great feeding vid. I feed my breeders live as well, mostly ASF's I breed them here for feeders. I have found there is very little if any "Fight" response compared to rats. No thrashing , kicking etc. Just an observation I have made. Nice size butter :)
@Infinityherps , I wouldn't mind some ASF rats myself. But there is no local shop that i know of, who sells them. I have also tried the frozen thawed rat, But my snakes dont' respond to pre killed food. So I must watch them like a hawk during feedings. make sure none of them get hurt... Thanks alot bud!
@iLLz32 Same problem here in NJ Kind of hard to get consistantly. We can not bring them in across the border they have to be bred here in NJ. which begs the question.... how did they get here in the first place LOL.
@ThGodLike , I assure you they are not, Ball pythons are the smallest of the african python species, very shy timid creatures, And when startled will curl up into a ball, hence the name. They preffer small tight spaces, in fact too much space can stress them out. They are also nocturnal animals and lastly these racks are custom built specifically for these animals. hope this helps..
@OrlandoF56 , The rack is from boaphile. they make good racks, but the service isn't great and they take forever, i'm looking into a different company now.

Live feeding doesn't bother me. Thousands of years of evolution has taught them how to kill rodents. Who am I to say they can't do it?
