  • try k and j magnetics for 45 dollars it will bump out for an inch out if u make the sorround longer than an inch and wrapp the coil at leat 80 times for a 4 ohm woofer other wise you will blow a woofer with heavy bass notes EVERYONE SHOULD READ

  • Where do you get the magnets!?!?? Having such a hard time finding them/finding where to buy them.

  • how many watts are you using?

  • the sub is doing a runner on ya lol try put legs on it and see will it run haha. datsa neat looking sub man. mine keeps falling to pieces. :/ think mi amp is far too strong. mutant 1000w :L well done man all u need isa box and plenty of weights lol

  • sorry what is the name of that song ???

  • lmao so classic good stuff mate.

  • how do you connected your ipod to the subwoofer

    ?

  • @georgesdens the ipod cant power the subwoofer. the ipod would connect to an amplifier then the amplifier would power the subwoofer.

  • Farting sub

  • AHAHAHAHA....

  • did you put any spiders on it

  • Make a box

  • dude your subwoofer farts !

  • an imam is a magnet in spanish

  • My friend, as the subwoofer is flexing? I do not see an Imam.

    could explain to me? Thank's

  • @rodnpfull I do not understand your question. And what is Imam?

  • @tilitsleeps04 Oh , I'm sorry . i'm brazilian, i'm not speak english and not write english =/

and my question,as he flexes? I do not see the magnet

  • SONG NAME PLEASE??

  • @nedeljkotubonjic Bass i Love You search in youtube

  • @rodnpfull Thank's...:)

  • bass i love you everywhere..

  • it sounds like its rattling

  • Now make a box for it and mount it on your bike lmao

  • what title of the music youv test?

  • @kingofheart19 bass i love you

  • hey..dumb question. why do we wrap the coils?

  • @sandcakist What do you mean "wrap the coils?" If you mean why do you wrap the wire in circles, then it's because a wire wrapped in circles creates a resistance for current to flow which causes the coil to build up a magnetic field which repels or attracts the stationary magnet attached to the basket therefore moving the cone making sound. The resistance for current to flow through the coil is called inductance.

  • and now "How to make" tutorial.....

  • how to make?

  • songname ?

  • @PhoenixRecords1996 Bass,I love you by Bassotronics......I think

  • funny as hell!! thumbs up!!

  • Yea but will it blend

  • loooollll this is for fun:P Nice :D

  • no pasa nada este subwoofer es una mierda acaso tendra un buen sonido como uno comprado, es una cagada!

  • i don't get why everyone uses foam board and doesn't enclose it but when i do it breaks I'm gonna make it with plywood.

  • whats the size of those magnets ? going to buy

  • Pretty Hi-Fi :D

  • Does it actually shake objects around you?

  • Damn it really works :-)

  • now available a f***** hover SUB

  • Hey, the first floating subwoofer :)

  • at least you know it works but very cool

  • mine felt apart :d :d

  • what am i doing rong i cant make mine work

  • everyone who builds a sub on youtube uses this song. its pretty funny. that is bad ass as fuck tho

  • I hate that song.

  • How do you make it sound so "real" like an actual sub

  • definitely needs a stiffer spider. Good attempt though.

  • hay what is the name of that song, i like it.

  • you need to make a 18 ich sub

  • can you make a tutorial next time ,when you want to make another one :D ?

  • guys it "bass-I love you"

  • thank you

  • lol its cool dude ! ;)

  • what is the song used in this video?

  • @SoViet905 bass i love you

  • cool

  • the song is called ??

  • @rougebress bass i love you

  • So Awesome

  • should have used wood for the basket

  • check out my homemade superwoofer ! it pounds like crazy ! about 4 ''s peak to peak !

  • hahahhahahahahahaha

  • Very resourceful. Checkout my homemade portable speakers

  • damn put that shit in a box now!

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 I did put it in a box. The problem was that I put it in a ported box and I turned it up and yes the styrofoam did not hold. It eventually broke. Next time I will put it in a sealed box so as to not let it move as much.

  • @tilitsleeps04 did it sound decent in the box?

    sick build dude..nice work..

  • put that in a box:)

  • thats pretty sick but will the styrofoam hold?

  • As the song called?

  • how do u create the ohm stable voice coil desired?

  • @Atbkng i used an inductance calculator i found online.

  • @tilitsleeps04 can u post a link

  • @Atbkng what do u mean with coil desired ohm stable¡?¡?¡¡

  • @Abnesis as in how do u make it a specific 2, 4, 8 or whatever ohm voice coil you want?

  • can you make a step by step video tutorial on how to make one or apoint me to on please??

  • @Snoopii211 Magnets : magnets4less website and get the neodymium n42 magnets (google it). Voice coil wire : Radio shack magnet wire (ask them where the magnet wire is) Cone and basket ect. : Foam board. Surround : tape or something similar like bike inner tube.

  • what do u use for the voice coil?

  • how thickk copper wire

  • its moving so easily because its only about 5oz

  • that shits tight

  • wow, youve inspired me :D I plan on building a sub and then a tweeter aswell as something for the mid-range frequencies. and then I throw them all into a wooden box and ive got myself a 3 way !

  • I made one but why do i get lyrics(words) coming out i though it was only bass?

  • @mattripsurfaceoff you probably have all frequency ranges going into it.

  • how do i make it hit the bass notes then?

  • you have to have a crossover or something that specifically inputs bass

  • crossovers are for speakers and tweeters... not subs

  • @gunghoman414 speakers and tweeters... subs are speakers... and I thought that you could have crossovers for woofers and subwoofers

  • You made a sub/speaker with a cross over

  • Bass I Love You - Basstronics (Y)

  • wat song is it

  • @snackpack013 yea i couldnt tell either... doesnt sound too good lol

  • Looks Great.

  • at some point in the future, I plan on building another one. I plan on redisgning the spider and the way I made the voice coil. It wasnt good enough in this video.

  • nice sub budy

  • sweet...but dont dare putting it on an amp over 10rms lol

  • @landon4343 it could probably do 50 watts lol

  • /wuts the name of this song

  • wow, thats pretty cool.

  • Please put it in an enclosure (closed box, 100 or more liters).then it will actually be able to radiate low frequencys =)

  • please make a video wich shows in detail how to made it with info about power

  • I made this a long time ago but what I can tell you is that I found a website that showed guages of wire. It also had the amperage rating. So I used the specific guage I used for power handling. Plus I read somewhere that back in the 70s they would use paper bobbins (the part the voice coil is wrapped around) and paper wasnt a good heat dissapator. Turns out aluminum is and conveniently I have soda cans that act as my bobbin.

  • @tilitsleeps04 hey make me one plis

  • do you need for this anything to power it up like batteries or something

  • can you make a tutorial PLEASE

  • loudspeaker (speaker) is the general term for a device that produces sound waves (i.e. speaks loudly). subwoofer can mean a speaker or an acoustic body (speaker with box) intended for bass only. a tweeter is the opposite - a speaker for high frequencies. a driver is a speaker, but the term stresses on the mechanical meaning of the device

  • or buy a 30$ cheap pro 12" sub =P

  • how do you make a woofer that can handle alot of power i never understand that do you just make a really long voice coil and really wide haha

  • @walkingfreak the most important feature of a powerful speaker (not only voice coil) is heat handling and heat dissipation - this means a physically bigger coil, high temp materials and specially engineered magnet system for better air flow and pumping effect (and maybe other things but these are the most important). by physically bigger coil I don't mean making a 800g coil :) everything can be subjected to calculations

  • Whar is the difference between a regular speaker and a subwoofer?

  • @svinec hmm so i could some how figure a way to cool the voice coil really really good and make it like a good 3 or 4 inch coil and 6 or 7 eight inch long coil and all stacked with magnets or no i dont mean to sound like an idiot im just really curious

  • @walkingfreak yes you can, but a coil that big is unacceptable, it becomes more like a heater than a voice coil :) the better way is a cooling system though it's pointless, too. imagine a powerful speaker with 3 times more power due to a cooling system. it will self-destruct mechanically. also a cooling system is not easy to create, it'll probably be more expensive than the speaker. if you want more loudness just install more speakers rather than increase power

  • @svinec hmm true il have to think of that cause im just going to go balls out on buying enclosures or building them cause im learning new tricks to this stuff everyday

  • not bad build but put that shiteeeeeeeee song in the trash is so fucking awful.

for the cone next time use paper mache or cardboard rolled into a cone shape.

  • give it more power. ive made little 1/2 homemade ones more bout an inch. i just give it power till it starts to slowly warm and play til its too hot to touch the voice coil and it sounds good

  • думую пенопласт не подходящий материал!

  • That Is Sweet!!! LOVE IT

  • where did u get that thick foamboard @

  • i got the foamboard at a super walmart. It cost like 3 bucks for a 2 foot by 3 foot or so.

  • Dude that is so bad ass?

  • sweeeeeeeeeet

  • very nice. i have wanted to make one myself. but how do you come up with the specs. for it?

  • By specs you mean design? :P know how speakers work and be creative and start drawing, easy as that.

  • what is that for a song ?

    :-)

  • nice for homemade atleast i couldnt do that. really good

  • o_O

  • Song? and BTW A W E S O M E, i'll TRY to make one lol.

  • NVM.

  • the song is bass, i love you

  • not a bad job man

  • hahha its moving around becase off the vib good sound

  • great man just one question where did you buy the coil wire

  • just do a search for magnet wire...i cant remember exactly what website i got it from though.

  • ever thought making the base out of metal/aluminum?

  • yeah i thought about it, but i dont have the equipment to use aluminum. I wouldnt know what to do anyway

  • All you'd need to do is get the magnet, then get a router/drill with circle drill bit that has the same diameter as the voice coil, and drill the hole deep enough so the coil can move freely and boom, you gotta magnet!

  • COOL.......

  • the basket is made out foam board.

  • dude ur sick man that is sweeeeet love it 5*******
