I used to like this game & especially the music by Dave Rogers who also did the excellent theme for the Cybernoid II.
It looks like maybe you didn't get the best playability because you were firing too fast. It only lets you have one missile on screen, and when you fire again the old missile disappears. So unfortunately using autofire is like not firing at all! :(
@kojiki1976 Yes, the music is the best thing in this game. The game itself is sometimes too hard, Space Harrier is much more playable, but without music... a compromise?
I remember someone writing a funny letter in SU next month taking the piss out of this game, saying something like "where's the digitized graphics, gone on holiday?"
i got this son of a bitch back in easter 1988, it was a tape cover on Sinclair User and it is the dogz bollox, the music is awsum, you young generation of kidz never experienced the true elements of gaming!!
thanx again spinderella for fulfilling my humble request. the 128 music is really quite good but the game itself leaves something to be desired. that one boss creature at the end of pt.2 reminded me of princess diana. i hope this gaming experience doesn't make you bare a grudge with my future requests. ha ha!!

Space Harrier was shit! This is the donkey's bollocks. The Zee X Spectrum has such a big catalogue of stinkers and stonkers that it makes it a lifetimes worth of work. I like the fact that people request games I've never heard of which provides another dimension of enjoyment or frustratation.
