  • A cutting engineer would always mono the bass in a cut to vinyl to stop the lathe from freaking out. Whether that still happens when the engineer knows it's staying in the digital domain I don't know. Fantastic tutorial Paul - I wish I had your natural cool delivery! More importantly - when are we seeing you next?

  • @garnishschoolofsound Indeed! I'm not a fan of vinyl & that's one of the reasons. There are some great plugs out there for this kind of work. I've not been in North London for a few weeks - I'll give you a call - haven't seen you for too long...

  • crazy useful stuff sir.

  • @neopandorex2 I'm really glad to be of use to your work - this is a subject that so many people have problems with...

  • Great tutorial!

  • @BrainUPD Thanks mate - more coming real soon...

  • @Manbearpig1903 Glad you like the video - more coming. Just move the channel eq to an insert slot after (below) the multi band compressor.

If the eq is before the compressor it will not be able to display what the compressor has done but if it's placed after the compressor it will obviously then reflect the changes made by the compressor.
