Oh wow thank you so much for posting this video. I know I'm gonna get razzed by my fellow DM fans but I just found out DP has a new album out and this is the first time I've heard this song... and it's LIVE!! I haven't even heard the recorded version on the album yet but this just reminded me of my favorite band and how they sounded in the 80's. Thanks Depeche Mode and Thanks to the person who put this video here for helping me fall in love with my favorite band in the world all over again.

Glad someone said that the video does not do the real thing justice. Looking very much forward to the show in June and I do hope that this song will be played. But I am also ever so slightly concerned if Dave can maintain his voice through the entire tour, judging from later concerts in 2006. Never mind though, even on bad days it is still better than anything else!

I have to agree with many here. The song is very good, but live it's amazing! Martin should be behind the keys more, even if half the time he's just standing around. Who would have thought Dave would hit his peak in his 40's? Incredible. Christian blends the drums very well. Now I'm really excited to see it in person for myself. Even if I have to go to Lollapalooza. Thanks for posting!

anyone who thinks the song sounds flat, trust me the video is lying to you. in person, i had goosebumps the entire time. especially when Dave held the mic out to the crowd and 15,000 of us sung with Martin on back-up vocals.

Well, I think they will play this on tour, because it will be their next single. Maybe someone else will sing that particular note, but I wouldn't bet on that. Dave can do good falsetto, it's not like this is the first time he does this. Besides, if he didn't know how to sing falsetto, his vocal coach certainly taught him. I don't think he's surprised, he just acts surprised as a joke the first time he hits that note :). Not the second time.

Thanks for putting this up! I've been searching this for days. Even Dave seems surprised when he made that high note. However, I just don't see this song working for their tour. There's no way Dave can make that song night after night, and the live version is flat.
