For the Beginning of MW2, there was hackers for Gametypes such as 9v9 search and destroy, 9v9 endless dominations, Rust Lobbies, etc. And even Global Thermonuclear war. And you know what Infinty Ward do?, they cancel them, and leave out the bullshit such as One Man army noob tubes, commando, no recoiled assault rifles, etc. in the game. They took out customization for money, and they don't listen to the community.

For those of you thinking it was all IW's fault: ACTIVISION IS TO BLAME. As always. They decided the pirate rate was way too high to risk making Dedicated Servers, so they forced IW to take it out. However, upon investigation in the actual MW2 files, Dedicated servers, mod support, and even an alternative to Steam, was made. IW had it planned it all to be in there, but Activision decided to save money, while losing customers at the same time.

It was exactly the same as the xbox/ps3 version but w/o the whole rank system. The game is a piece of shit. Not b/c of its many design flaws, but the lagg and amount of hackers. You go into a game now and all you see is someone with an aimbot/wllhack going 150-2. Its just ridiculous that steam doesnt do enough to keep the gam

Personally I think that the decision to get rid of dedicated servers reeks of Activision's involvement. They're all about money and if people are making their own content then Activision isn't making millions off of DLC. IW probably wanted to keep the Ded. Servers but were effectively pigeon holed into discarding them. So what I'm trying to say is that IW really shouldn't take all the blame for this debacle.
