@lhg238 for some dancers, like me, ballet becomes a form of life. I just can't wait for the next class to keep on working on my turns, turn-out, and flexibility. But you can definitely do it for fun, it's healthy to do exercise and ballet is a great choice because you work with every part of your body :)

I started an adult beginner class three months ago aged 28 - and its a hard-core workout! Have enough trouble not tripping over my own size eight feet without putting blocks on the end of them though.....

I've done ballet since I was four and it is such a bad idea to be wearing pointe shoes on their first go! They will absolutely kill! I study at the Royal Ballet school and we have to wear them.

@amygloss97 at 14 your not too old to do ballet, but its recommended to start at least at 4-11yrs old because younger ones are more flexible and their bodies are still in the process of developing their still a bit loose in the muscles..

As a Dancer , when i saw them with pointe shoes on, i felt disrespected,wheter they went on pointe on not, their legs and feet were clearly unprepared. The so called professional had to be asked what position they were in.to pull up her first. walnut hill has better movies

How can someone have put them in pointe shoes when they asked the ballerina "are these pointe shoes?" If you don't know what they are and have not been trained in ballet it is very dangerous to be messing around in them!
